Hans Zimmer, who worked on all three films in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, is set to reteam with the filmmaker once again, as Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder have tapped him to score their Superman pic Man of Steel.

NO. Nobody knows about the score! How many times do we have to go through this, jake?! This announcement was made June 15 of this year. "Man of Steel" isn't planned to be released for a whole year since that date (about seven months away from it right now).
And that means the music probably has not been written yet. But if you want my opinion, I'll bet the score will sound like Hans Zimmer composed it.
Let's hope he remains on board. He might decide to drop out for whatever reason any time. Remember Kingdom of Heaven?

HGW's score for "KOH" was perfect. Probably his best.

KOH was a bad score. hgw is a not composer for movies, their play in western, cursade or fantasy. but he is a good action score composer like unstoppable, x-men, the taking of palhem 123..

KOH is a great score from HGW, over Unstoppable, Wolverine and Taking (i like them, but orchrestral & choir from that score is a "heaven")

If you prefer generic stuff like Pelham and Unstoppable over KoH, you really don't know what you're talking about! And I have over a 1000 scores, so I clearly know what I'm talking about! But it's a good thing score also doesn't like you, cause with comments like that you don't deserve to be liked!

As for Zimmer scoring "The Man of Steel", curious what he'll come up with. Hopefully Zimmer it'll be more thematic and less droning

That is true [John Debney]. The question was whether HGW has fulfilled his task, and there has to be said clearly, yes.

Since you're all talking about it...I just watched the director's cut of KoH last night for about the 3rd or 4th time and was once again in awe of how perfect HGW's score is. It has more personality and flavor, and more importantly uniquely film-fitting personality, than 90% of scores being composed these days, by RC people or otherwise. People often claim that RC scores are so generic that you could drop them in practically any film and they would work. Not so at all with KoH. It's brilliantly, beautifully unique.

Regarding KoH! mattlambertson is absolutly right about the quality HGW has delivered on the project. I wished he composed more tracks by his own dispite the fact that Patrick Cassidy's "Vide Cor Meum" from Hannibal fits very well.
who are you -,- ? , I think you don't know anything about Music scores and ( coral voice!!! ) as you say....., i see KOH OR HG-W don't need your rating to describe the score is good or bad, really it's not your place here, and here in this post we speak about H-Z scores Man of Steel.
Aside from TDKR, I am so anxious and nervous to hear what new theme he comes up with. I say nervous because its a pretty iconic theme he'll be attempting to replace, with that said, "In Zimmer I trust"
