To those who say Batman has no theme in these movies: he has a lot! By the end of the third movie he has two main themes (the two notes and the Dark Knight suite theme) and three subthemes (the beginning of the end credits music, the Why Do We Fall theme, which has several variations, and the heroic theme starting at 4:00 in the Imagine the Fire album track).I'm pretty sure the Ra's al Ghul theme was JNH.Amen to that!Track 4. DNA in its full length:
www.rollingstone.com/music/news/man-of-steel-composer-hans-z immer-celebrates-mankind-on-dna-20130513It's great to see Mark Mancina back in the game. And the music sounds wonderful.

This is only the "expanded score", not the "complete score".Can anyone tell me why this list doesn't seem to include "1m10/11 Father Son & Baby Po?" Was it not recorded?I pulled a Giacchino, track 1: The Not So Merry Go Round ;0

One of my favorite tracks in faceWell, okay then. No hope for an expanded Begins release, I guess. Will definitely want this score.
Yes, the Transformers score was planned from the very beginning, and it was decided to have it released at the same time as the DVD.
Not knowing that, many people got pissed, and started a (useless) petition. There is a crude recording of the Be Prepared Reprise, it's even sung by Jeremy Irons (or Jim Cummings, I can't tell them apart). What I'm saying is there was stuff recorded that has never seen the light of day. For instance, the Be Prepared reprise. That was near-finished (it had an instrumental track, I think the hyena chorus had yet to be finalized). The CD was always planned. Like Armageddon, just very bad timing...Kinda like TDKR....movie sounds better than album.

hi there i was wanted to no if yall no anything bout the score for man of steel and how it will sound

Mr. Fate2012-11-11 23:36:36
NO. Nobody knows about the score! How many times do we have to go through this, jake?! This announcement was made June 15 of this year. "Man of Steel" isn't planned to be released for a whole year since that date (about seven months away from it right now).

And that means the music probably has not been written yet. But if you want my opinion, I'll bet the score will sound like Hans Zimmer composed it.

*God damn!*

Let's hope he remains on board. He might decide to drop out for whatever reason any time. Remember Kingdom of Heaven?

I don't think so !!

ananymous2012-06-22 08:53:45
HGW's score for "KOH" was perfect.
Probably his best.

-,-2012-06-22 10:30:31
KOH was a bad score.
hgw is a not composer for movies, their play in western, cursade or fantasy.
but he is a good action score composer like unstoppable, x-men, the taking of palhem 123..

ananymous2012-06-22 10:47:34
Chronicles of Narnia?

Bou2012-06-22 12:28:56
KOH A BAD SCORE!!?

Are you fu... kidding me??
You prefer some anecdotic and boring drone music like Pelham and unstoppable OVER KOH??

I hope it's just a trolling post..in other case you have very bad taste!

-,-2012-06-22 18:50:24
koh is a bad score with bad coral voice!!!

MrZimmerFan (Fan from Spain)2012-06-22 20:20:13
KOH is a great score from HGW, over Unstoppable, Wolverine and Taking (i like them, but orchrestral & choir from that score is a "heaven")

-,-2012-06-23 14:07:33
Sorry MrZimmerFan
I have almost 600 scores, I know what I'm talking about! If you the score it is like but okay. but he does not like me!

Trent Easton Navarro2012-06-23 16:34:43
@-,-

If you prefer generic stuff like Pelham and Unstoppable over KoH, you really don't know what you're talking about! And I have over a 1000 scores, so I clearly know what I'm talking about! But it's a good thing score also doesn't like you, cause with comments like that you don't deserve to be liked!

Trent Easton Navarro2012-06-23 16:37:10
As for Zimmer scoring "The Man of Steel", curious what he'll come up with. Hopefully Zimmer it'll be more thematic and less droning

-,-2012-06-24 03:19:44
@Trent Easton Navarro

Na if they koh as well can I not help them. Since john has delivered debney a better soundtrack with the passion of the christ... is hgw me find it regardless of whether they like me xD

ananymous2012-06-24 11:08:55
That is true [John Debney].
The question was whether HGW has fulfilled his task, and there has to be said clearly, yes.

mattlambertson2012-06-24 16:18:57
Since you're all talking about it...I just watched the director's cut of KoH last night for about the 3rd or 4th time and was once again in awe of how perfect HGW's score is. It has more personality and flavor, and more importantly uniquely film-fitting personality, than 90% of scores being composed these days, by RC people or otherwise. People often claim that RC scores are so generic that you could drop them in practically any film and they would work. Not so at all with KoH. It's brilliantly, beautifully unique.

Tim2012-06-24 16:42:02
Regarding KoH! mattlambertson is absolutly right about the quality HGW has delivered on the project. I wished he composed more tracks by his own dispite the fact that Patrick Cassidy's "Vide Cor Meum" from Hannibal fits very well.

who are you -,- ? , I think you don't know anything about Music scores and ( coral voice!!! ) as you say....., i see KOH OR HG-W don't need your rating to describe the score is good or bad, really it's not your place here, and here in this post we speak about H-Z scores Man of Steel.

Aside from TDKR, I am so anxious and nervous to hear what new theme he comes up with. I say nervous because its a pretty iconic theme he'll be attempting to replace, with that said, "In Zimmer I trust"
