Hmmm, according to Batu's website he worked on the first half of L3 & Millennium FalconLovely score with beautiful themes, atmospheric vocal parts and a nice orchestration.This is a highly underrated album. It's nothing short of a masterpiece, a modern opera. The choir is beautiful, and the choice of gospel for the first track gives it a unique identity, though I'm not sure how well it meshes with the orchestra. It feels a bit off, but will hopefully improve for me on further listens.

The composition, has to me, elevated Powell to the status of the second best living composer (Williams is still first for now). It's pure orchestral beauty and mastery with variety of texture, color, and style, with seamless tonal transitions. The complexity rivals some of the great works of the past.

It's strange to me that this is called "choral works". Sure the choir is an important element, but it really should be named "Hubris Symphony", or "Hubris: The Opera", because that's the status the album deserves.My Attempt at a chronological order with edits (feel free to correct any mistakes or if I missed anything)

1. Change Of Plan (Unused) (5:47)Rogue One is a bit of an odd one. From what I'd heard, Desplat had joined on the condition he'd be allowed to do his own thing and not ape Williams. But once they decided to overhaul the film, they pressured him to go that exact direction. Things stayed still for a while (in which he still got paid) before he was finally let go very late into production. So the idea he sorta just left is interesting, so I'm curious to hear what that was about.

For BW, it seems very likely to me that Marvel simply were unsure about Alexandre's music, so I'm guessing they hired Balfe to do some demos and decided from there. Who knows what the exact timeline is, but I'd wager it'd have to at least be this year if he's been on it a bit. Especially with AD's name having stayed on the posters during it.
Hybrid, Desplat left Rogue One just for his own idea? I know he left that movie beacuse schedule conflict for the reshoots.
But for Black Widow seems that the replacement was since months ago with Lorne writing and recording the score at the same timeht tp:// filmmusicreporter. com/2020/04/01/ track-list-for-disneys-live-action-mulan -soundtrack-album-revealed/

Why release a tracklist for an album that won't be released for another 6 months at least. That's just a punch in the gut, in my opinionSo it won't be a last minute and hasty job?No idea but he was on it for a bit, I think.Hybrid, do you know how long Lorne had to score?
Score is recorded already.Yup, which makes me wonder if they had to wait before announcing it, considering Desplat was still being listed in posters prior to the delay.I think Lorne teased this some time ago by sending a picture of researching Russian music on insta (maybe)Hello,

I'm looking for the translation of the song God Yu Tekkem Laef Blong Mi in English of French.

Could anyone help me ?

Thank you !you can't, it's only an info for the complete score

Its a long shot but I hope Hans will also tour in the Southeast Asian Region, particularly in the Philippines where I belong. Hans Zimmer also has many admirers here although secretive and insular. Hope the venue will be in Cultural Center of the Philippines if ever!

My god for a concert and my kingdom for a horse...Hans Zimmer is not just the "best" or "something" like else, he's a poet, an incredible and talentuous composer and obviously revolutionary's musician : I wonder a Paris's Concert (oh my goodness).

I can't wait for more news about the tour. I only wish that there will be at least one concert in Europe. Finally, he's from Germany. Best wishes for all!

Hans is finished with Kung Fu Panda and now his next film is likely Dark Knight along with his partner James N. Howard. Later on at the end of the year, he has to do Madagascar 2 and the Russian movie called Inhabited Island.

Pls make Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) one of the stops of your tour, hans. I live, eat and breathe your music.

dan reply Replies: 0 || 2008-04-17 00:00:00
Yeah, anyway he was nominated for a golden globe for da vinci code. He would have score the film if the writer's strike didn't happened. I don't even know who is willing to score now? I was shaken after when I heard Chevaliers de sangreal because it was so power and moving.

Mark reply Replies: 0 || 2008-04-17 00:00:00
no hans was confirmed for Angels & Demons. Why wouldn't they bring him back anyways after Chevaliers De Sangreal???

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2008-04-14 00:00:00
Is Hans still unconfirmed on angels and demons???

Hans is doing a Russian movie that comes out on December 18, 2008. This will be his sixth film that he is doing this year.

Hans is like the musical uncle i never had.

I am also excited about the dark knight music and the movie. Hans and James Newton Howard did a good job on batman begins. Ron Howard hooks up with Hans Zimmer once again for Frost/Nixon. It's exciting to see that Ron doesn't always have to go to James Horner for music. Horner is also a busy composer too. Ron's Angels & Demons is filming in less than two months from now and so far, there is no news about who is going to score it.

Jaweco reply Replies: 0 || 2008-04-07 00:00:00
Frost/Nixon is a movie... but I don't know what to wait from the music either. I just know it can't be that bad, Zimmer's on it after all. ;)

Can't wait for The Dark Knight ! The full new Batman theme we've been teased about in Batman Begins will appear at last. And a Joker theme standing for anarchy the article says. That's gonna rocks !

it's good to finally get an update on where the great zimmer is in his work. after potc III i haven't had much to get excited about, but i'm thinking this score for the dark knight has the potential to be really good.

dont' know what to think about frost/ it a movie or a special made for tv?
