Hybrid why is Hans taking on so many projects this year? Any insights into that? Why remove them?Because there was no time for him to do WW 1.

He was on tour for months... Had 2 tours in early 2016/17 + Dunkirk to handle. Wouldn't have worked at all.Really loved that song 'n lirycs. Always became my lulaby on the night. He did...once... ;)
So why exactly did Hans fight for Rupert with Wonder Woman and why is he scoring '84? Not criticizing, I just remember him thinking that it was better for more women to be involved as composers or performers on Wonder Woman projects.

I don't even necessarily agree with the concept that a woman needs to score a movie about women, I'm just curious why he wanted Rupert in and why he himself took over for the sequel if he felt that way?I would have gone with...
Music was good, didn't fit the DCEU, film was the worst thing ever.

Hans is fine, prefer his older stuff.Hybrid, do you have the Inception credits?Hybrid? Any chance you could upload some unreleased tracks from this to your channel? Or just that suite, that you did but was removed :/Welp, necro thread i guess.
Back then people still used CDs from time to time and a CD can only fit a little more than an hour worth of MP3s on it.Music was good, film was better. Nay, good. nothing, better than Hans

Hans, for you. <3

Sincerely,
RicardoSometimes, I wish the world was, one with iself. This, music and harmony set into one man's vision. Hans, you inspire us. You, alone.

Sincerely,
RicardoIt's not officially available but a clear version can be found on the bleeding fingers website under Andrew Christie. Can someone ask Powell or Zimmer to put up some demos or suites from this score for study. It's such a great score and a real demonstration that a team effort can produce real quality.
@Hybrid Soldier
Did HZ just do the first season of wormhole and then his stuff gets reused/rearranged by Jacob Shea or did he consistently write throughout several seasons? Thanks for the great insight as always Hybrid!Any idea when can we expect a track list of Tom's score ?It depens on person, you don't like it but this ost got millions of likes. You are only free to express your opinion.Mmmh yeah let's say he acted like a music producer until Rupert was in, even as early as 2016 (right after BVS) he met with Patty Jenkins, he was never gonna do it because he was on tour anyway but he had the ideas as to who could/should score it. He had many ideas, submitted names etc.

Rupert got the gig in the end. Rupert I think could actually have come back to WW84, WW was a tough project but there was no problem (hell, he nailed it with Aquaman too, which was much easier cause there was no "legacy" to follow), but it really is Hans who showed interest to actually do it. Hans got really attached to Wonder Woman, playing the theme in his 2017 Live Tour. I think he wanted more than be the "WW Theme Writer", he wanted to have a full WW score.

"I am not an artist" - An Interview with Hans Zimmer

A conversation with a composer like Hans Zimmer is a dream come true for every film music critic. I finally made it, even if my patience was tested due to mails asking me to postpone the interview even a bit further. You can forgive somebody who is so busy with his projects and preparations for the Oscar night. Especially that finally, a few nights before the Academy Awards, it was done. Internet connection let me forget that the composer resides and works in California, thousand miles from me in Poland. For almost an hour I could talk with Hans about his old and new projects, what he thinks of Christopher Nolan and other directors and what he thinks of the art of film music. You can read about all of this in this interview.

I second Brian, certainly the best Hans interview i've ever read.
You asked the right questions Pawel, the questions us, the long time fans, wanted to ask.

Cheers !

@Pawel: wow, yes you were very lucky, and you did a great job!! It's always great to learn more about the background of scores, how he works, also loved the part about the concert tour - and glad it's still on! Also loved his opinion on his scores and what he likes and dislikes etc. Great questions :)

Wow your so lucky! Great questions you asked him and very insightful! I learnt a lot from this interview with the master himself.

Take care.. And if you or anyone is interested in listening to some of my music...

I hope Hans gets a chance to have a listen! Feel free to leave any comments!

And thank you everyone for your opinions about my interview! It was fun to talk to him!

Hans was banned for The Power of One, because of that he couldn't record Lebo M. in South Africa. All of this happened days before the election of Mandela, so the ban was lifted.

John - From what I know, releasing an expanded score is always going to cost re-use fees to pay the musicians, irrespective of the release format (CD or MP3). However, allegedly the amount to be paid decreases when some time has passed since the score's original release date, so we sometimes get expanded releases for older scores as they're more affordable to release for the record companies.

As for the Lion King expanded score CD, it will be like a dream come true for me! Perhaps to coincide with the Blu-Ray release of the film... fingers crossed for the best!

i don't get it. so will there be a lion king expanded score soon? and why are the expanded depending on the costs? the music is recorded, so why not just give this for order as download? like at amazon where you can buy it as a mp3 version or something like that. you can sell the ost through cd's and when you want more than buy the mp3 expanded as a die-hard fan.

Great interview!!! I never heard that Hans was banned from South Africa... did I understand this right? Is he still banned? Was he banned for one of his scores?

That was the best, I think, that I've EVER read - at least regarding Hans Zimmer. It extremely insightful to me. I finally got the explanation I've been waiting for as about expanded scores. I felt it had something to do with money. Thank you for this. 2001-2018 OST
