Sadly this one failed to impress in any way for me. I felt like falling asleep for much of this album. Overall too simplistic, ugly, and cliched with very difficult to pin down thematic material, as the melodies are so minimalist. To whom it may concern...

Is it possible to download or in any other way purchase the Hannibal (Expanded) score somewhere? I have the original motion picture soundtrack, but would LOVE to have them both..

Best regards

Nicholas10 and 16 are missing from the store pack. Most probablyI am not a hybrid, i will try to give my opinion. I think, music in 5 season will come out when and 6 season. But I really want to be wrong!!! :)
It's very sad...(((The 'Allentown Brothers' track is pretty damn awesome (find it on YouTube). It's like a mix between gothic Elfman, Desperate Housewives and Transformers. I love it.

It's one of those scores that people don't talk about much but it's actually pretty cool.

An awesome venue would be the Opera House in Odessa.Want this so bad!!!Does anyone have a breakdown of this with the official score album?
Hats off to Batu Sener for working on many of the score's best cues though! It all comes to personal preference I think. Personally I’ve moved on from collecting cd’s (or anything really) and would rather have everything digital simply to utilize space.

That being said, I completely understand the appeals of having physical media, it would be sad to see that go away for the people who really love it.It's not only to appreciate the work, its to have something "real" in your hands, for your music collection. I don't like only to have a digital music archive. Of course, i rip all the cds i own to WAV and MP3. But i want to have them in my physical music collection. These day, sure. But we usually get news of the next one by the time he's finished wrapping up the current one.Powell only does 1 score a year.
Still no news on his next score? Is he taking a break or something? Working on more concert stuff? Was pleasantly surprised by this one when I first heard it. Outside of the ‘modern scoring’ portions you get some fun noir music for the squad, solid action writing, and even some good emotional cues.

Also gotta love the rhythmic idea from Antz popping up here...Also, the use of the guitars by Jablonsky, are still the best since the 90sI give a spin (almost 4 years after my last listening), it grown on me (still don't consider of the best of Jab), but much better than Skyscraper (ok score) and Battleship (guilty pleasure, but not a good score by any means), i like the style of Jablonsky in this one, his rhythms (but i still don't care about the 'motif' for Cohen or certain sound design tracks like 'You Can't Shoot Me' or 'You Know the Drill')

But still has such cool action moments (Hot Potato With a Grenade) and emotional/romantic moments, and still enjoyed that from this.<3 Buck Takes the Lead

Angels & Demons is in post-production.

Sounds good. A bit repetitive, but quite good. Let's hope it won't be the motif heard in the clips again and again only. Reminds me a bit of Powell on Bourne somehow, along with Gregson-Williams on Gone Baby Gone. I'll check it when it comes out anyway... there has to be a cd!

I'm way more interested in Angels & Demons. ;)

Good stuff, reminds me of the minimalism and tone-down atmosphere of THE WEATHER MAN, plus some of the more offbeat elements of MATCHSTICK MEN. Will be getting it for sure but i am largely looking forward to (and hoping for) a grander score for ANGELS AND DEMONS.

Horrible samples, this score is going to suck

Don't mistake simple for primitive. Zimmer has always made a point of making his scores strive in their simplicity. Don't forget that the music's first job is to support the narrative; he just makes it a bonus that it stands on its own.

Boring and primitive. I hope it is the worst part of the score.... Why D minor again, Mr Zimmer? ;)

Yummy, yummy... 11 minutes of score! And there are some pretty good stuff in here too. At parts it sounds like it's coming from the same alley as "Weather Man" but I can live with that. Bring on an official soundtrack (with score)!
