Thank you so much for your inspiring links on YouTube about your Master Class. Despite the amount of disparaging and scathing comments from some people, I think your comments about setting composers free to create new life shattering music at the drop of a hat with computers, I phones is definitely the way forward. You have proved this yourself with your career and inspiring music. Yes, you have to break the rules and splosh new ideas manuscript paper through the computer so that you can say new things.
The rules are only necessary for the young student to get into professional music and start writing. Once you are there, you must set them aside so that you can create something new. After all that is what Bach and Mozart did like Stravinsky after them because there are new things to be said musically. But all ideas, be it a film school, a symphony or even a simple song, classical or pop, come about through a story. You must have a story, something to tell, to inspire the composer to make music.
There is just one thing which I personally have never found out of and that is how does one get into the film/music world? I was at the London film school earlier. They taught me many things but not how to get into the profession. Frequently one has asked what films or TV programmes have you written music for before? Without having anything concrete to refer too one is automatically bypassed. In other words you have to have a proven track record before you can get into the profession.
If you have any ideas about this Hans, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you.
Best of luck with your next film project.
Sincerely,
Ralph J. Cupper, kantor@eid.kommune.no www.ralphcupper.com www.karincupper.com Tlf: 00 47 90881265
Greetings, I'm engaging information about the masterclass held soon on Fridays. I'm living in Australia and wandering if the classes are only live or if recorded since I'm having to use only my spare time in watching these classes. I'm hoping it's ina Format I'm able to save and watch at a later stage. Is this true? Thanks for your assistance and look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Graeme Cruickshank

Hey! The classes are not live and can be taken at your own pace. That's the beauty of it!
x Cyberpunk88 yes, I will put on youtube. However, this site belongs to Hans Zimmer. I here are just a guest. I do not know if I have the permission of the admin Antas to put the link.

Hi Notapix, thanks for uploading it to youtube! Is there any chance you could put a download link for the flac or mp3 version in the description? I really like your mix and would like to have the best quality of it possible :)
Can Akcan, you have very well done your 'Time' cover as it is my opinion. I like it :)

Hey NotaPix! Thank you for your good comment :) I liked your covers too. Actually there is nothing new on my version but as a composer I learned a lot while doing this cover. Kind regards, Can Akcan

That's what I did - I think of it as an exercise and great opportunity to look inside the track. And it has been a really good experience. I have learned a lot from it.
many thanks for hosting my covers on this page. it is an honor for me. a big hug to all of you and Hans Zimmer :)

grazie marco :) sei tu che hai rifatto ''like a dog chasing cars'' e ''eptesicus''?
the covers are yours on ''like a dog chasing cars'' and ''eptesicus''?

ENGLISH: your cover, and a few others made by other users, I liked the awesome fidelity with the original music by Hans Zimmer. I do not have great sound libraries as the only reference. I try to use, e.g, various types of little ''library-cello'' to make the tone less stereotyped as possible, in my opinion.
as a matter of very little money available to me, I'll settle for watching the concerts of Hans Zimmer on you tube. what I like about Hans Zimmer, it is that the soundtracks always manages to capture the soul of the film. he is not content to just follow the image or / and the emotional aspect. He is a great.

Sorry, but how did you get the original score? It's so amazing your cover!!!!

(Excuse my bad English) many thanks Laura. I was highly motivated. very motivated. 'Detach' is the song that excited me especially compared to the other songs of 'Interstellar album' (beautiful them too). I looked some tutorials in youtube... but there are not any. so I wanted to copy the original song by Hans Zimmer listening carefully ... step by step. unfortunately I could not do better because I have not studied music, but I'm happy with the result.
a question please: are you who made the covers 'The contender theme' and 'Now we are free'? if so: I really like your version 'Now we are free'. if I understand correctly, I think the violin is real and not virtual. you play it you? bye :)

I think the result is excellent especially if you haven't studied music. Can you please tell me about these cello libraries? I like also small variations despite the cover being really matching the original, small variations with respect to the original (whether intended or result of the arrangment) give a touch of personal interpretation and originality. When it is the result of researching too much the original sound, it is not a good result (I believe I have this flaw in some parts my arrangment) but when it is not, then the result is good. Cannot explain better but in your "Da Vinci", I like that.

Many thanks isildur. I hope to hear your own cover.
x marco: hmmm. I'm a bit embarrassed. google translator does not translate well from English, so do not understand the exact meaning of the text. English words I know can be counted on the fingers of one hand. sorry. about the libraries, I took as an example the 'cellos' section but also applies to other instruments. I use different types of small libraries of the same instrument (without resorting to large libraries of last generation that are definitely good, but they are heavy for my pc). the resulting sound as a whole is more 'full bodied' than using a single instrument (in our example: only one instument of cellos section). but this should not, for me, make me lose sight of the overall sound of the song. This 'not lose sight of' it forces me to put some of my originality (perhaps appreciated or maybe not). I hope I have correctly understood your question :)
it must be remembered, however, that is the musical composition that makes the difference. therefore, the compliments go to Hans Zimmer and staff ;)

Could you upload your Interstellar cover to Youtube? Or have a download link? I'd like to put it on my music player!

Hahaha no, I haven't done any cover at the moment. I'm searching the score from the vocal version (there's a version in youtube, I don't know if you know it) from "now we are free" and the orchestal score of "Chevaliers de Sangreal". I really love that theme!
And also sorry for my bad english, I'm spanish studying english :D

Hi Notapix, You understood perfectly my question. Thanks
Ciao Marco, caspita (wow)! You have remade a track complex with the addition of different musicals atmosphere. very nice. whether there was a 'cover competition', for me you'd be one of those musicians who should participate.

Thanks for your comment. And thanks to Antas for hosting the cover.
Hola Laura ;) yes, I listened to the vocal version of 'now we are free'... (different versions in youtube). there is one that I really like, but no vocal, made by Tina Guo playing the cello. I believe that the originality of Tina has respected the soul that Hans Zimmer had evoked with this magnificent music. :)
good morning (Sorry for my bad English ... google translator)
I'd put my cover as a tribute on this page 'fan covers' of Hans Zimmer. I have some questions: 1) it is necessary that I possess some requirements or some permission? 2) the audio file I done, what specifications should have (* .wav, Hz, ...)? 3) where do I upload the file? 4) I prefer to put a nick name instead of my own name. it's possible?
Thanks for your attention.
a warm greeting to Hans Zimmer and to all of you who work with him.

Please admin, there is any chance that I can receive answers to my questions? or perhaps uploading is closed? thank you :)
Dear Hans, thank you for the beautiful music that you create. I hope you have time to listen to the composition of Daniele Pelliccioni and their Oniricide. I think he has a real passion and maybe one day he will be a great composer like you. If you wish: www.oniricide.it Thank you for your music... :) Amazing! :) Hugs Mara

I would like to ask, which things do you have to do or be to be in RCP (instead to be the composer of course), anybody here, do you know something about it
Will there be any recordings and possible dvd/blu ray of this tour?

I hope so. I saw in Prague at least three (very very expensive looking) cameras. They also recorded the audience with multiple microphones.

Thank you so much for the concert in Hamburg. It was so wonderful and emotional. I started to cry sometimes because the music and the way you played it was just beautiful.
Thanks for the concert in Brussels, it was magic! I will never forget this moment...
