Its Imagine the Fire insertThe Japanese version can be ordered here: http: //www.cdjapan.co.jp/ product/WPCR-18185<br><br>The "Swan Song" is also included on the CD. So it has 3 additional tracks.Theres quite a bit of good unreleased stuff from this score. Stuff like the cue that plays during Alita's first game of motorball with the other kids, the bar fight music, the unused string rendition of Alita's theme and the end titles arrangement of Motorball/Swan Song.Does anyone have the "Motorball" cue from end credits? It sounds like the beginning of the "Motorball" track but it's different than on the OST. It plays directly after the Swan Song track...<br><br>Why is it left off the CD?Huh... Do people at RCP ask H-Z.com to use the official, less accurate credits in some cases? I seem to recall some credit fiasco on POTC4.
So what happened to the credits here? It used to be a mixture of solo Atli cues with Atli/Dave Fleming, and now all three guys are credited for every track even though Tillman is only listed as a musician? Is this like with Armageddon, where the "official" credits aren't as accurate as the older ones were? :pMost of the album is comprised of suites, with one consistent tempo per track. <br><br>The material that was scored to picture was scored using the risset rhythm technique, which gave a lot of those tracks their "infinitely getting faster" feeling in the film, so the tempo is always climbing in the film versions. The suites have a stable tempo (except for a couple normal tempo changes, which are different)Not really any... "Nothing Out There" contains the sad piano theme from Begins and Dark Knight, but otherwise the themes that get reprised are pretty much Hans stuff. <br><br>Speaking of credits, any chance the complete score page could be updated with what's out there and official?Could somebody tell me in what cues JNH's themes appear on album?Yeah, that cue was either a last minute rewrite or one of the music editors did it.... As for where you can find it...Google is your friend. But it's not going to be available anywhere officially.
I think it will be in between NOT ORDINARY CITIZEN / THE SLOW KNIFE and IMAGINE THE FIRE, Does anybody know where can I find it?<br>I noticed that this score doesn't has the soundtrack of the part where Blake is taking the people to the bridge and he is discusing with the other police officer before he blows the bridgeThat's right, I forgot about that... And I totally agree about the score vs. the album. I had no use for this score on album at first, but now that I've watched the movie a few times, I can really hear the logic behind the score and I "get it." <br><br>I still don't get the music as heard on album, though. Are the longer pieces some early suites Hans wrote? Or did he specifically make these arrangements for the album? Do you know the answer to that one, Hybrid?I wanna say I heard the full Cat Suite somewhere... I can't remember if it was legit, but it was 15:39 and it was indeed quite repetitive. It was basically the Selina Kyle Suite from the Z+ app, along with demos of several of the Catwoman-related cues in the final score. If you've listened through the score, you've basically heard the unreleased stuff.@Mike<br>Zimmer has said in interviews that he “mapped out” the film with one long piece of music to establish the changing tempo of the story, and apparently the script was written to capture the rhythmic feel of the film. So from the very beginning the story was always split up between the three.<br><br>I think a big part of the initial disappointment with the score was the album presentation, which gives off the impression that the music is just some sound design that Zimmer threw together (this is how I personally felt when I first gave it a listen). In actuality it’s a technically impressive score, I really can’t think of any other film score that is so synchronized with a film’s tempo and flows as one long piece of music. Apparently it was a nightmare for Hans, especially when the smallest edits to the film would ruin the flow.<br><br>Doing the 59-minute album was a pretty big disservice to the whole purpose of the music. If you remove one piece the whole thing falls apart, which is part of the reason the album feels so disjointed.
Anyone here listened "The Predator" FYC score? <br>Any chance to compare tracklist and running time with official release? These versions suites haven't been officially released, but maybe you can find them somewhere around the Internet unofficially.<br><br>As for the Cat Suite, the most important parts of it can be found in "Selina Kyle" (it's a shortened version of it actually) and "Mind if I cut in?" from the OST. I remember that Hybrid once said that the 15mins Cat Suite was too repetitive, that's why a 5min only version was released, so maybe you are just fine with those two.<br>Where can I listen to the Cat Suite? Or is it literally: Selina Kyle Theme? <br>The Mole P1 (0-1:57)<br>Regimental Brothers P1 (0-1:19)<br>The Mole P2 (1:57-3:44)<br>Regimental Brothers P3 (2:44 onward)<br>We Need Our Army Back<br>Shivering Soldier<br>Supermarine P1 (0-2:47)<br>The Mole P3 (3:45 onward)<br>We Need Our Army Back (again) <br>Supermarine P2 (*5:33)<br>Impulse<br>The Tide<br>Home <br>The Oil <br>Variation 15<br>End Credits <br><br>As everyone said already, the album is made up of suites that combine several cues and several "sounds" used in various places. For example, the is a sound in The Mole (At 2:05) that sounds like a fuse being ignited. This sound is actually right after The Tide in the film.<br>The only tracks that are almost identical to the film are: The Tide, Variation 15 and End Credits, the rest is different. <br><br>So if you were to order the tracks as first heard in the film it would be: <br>The Mole <br>Regimental Brothers <br>We Need Our Army Back<br>Shivering Soldier <br>Supermarine <br>Impluse <br>The Tide <br>Home <br>The Oil<br>Variation 15<br>End credits<br><br>As much as I enjoyed listening to this release, I wish they didn't butcher the score the way they did. I like the suites but there are so many great cues in this film that weren't released. If only they released an isolated score track on Blu-ray. Listening to film extracts is just not enough.I noticed that as well — the ticking goes all through the movie, except for the boat scenes, and only stops when they get on the train. <br><br>I wonder...could the film have originally been shot so that the beach, sea, and air sequences were there own arcs, and the longer album tracks were written for that? And then Nolan went in and turned the movie into the frenetic, constantly cutting-back-and-forth final product? <br><br>While the album is fine, I personally don't understand why we couldn't have just gotten the film cues. They might have had to stitch several together for each track, but it could have worked.

Hans Zimmer...Take me to your planet.

Kantor Ralph J. Cupper, Eid church, Nordfjordeid, reply Replies: 0 || 2017-03-04 01:40:43
Dear Hans.

Thank you so much for your inspiring links on YouTube about your Master Class. Despite the amount of disparaging and scathing comments from some people, I think your comments about setting composers free to create new life shattering music at the drop of a hat with computers, I phones is definitely the way forward. You have proved this yourself with your career and inspiring music. Yes, you have to break the rules and splosh new ideas manuscript paper through the computer so that you can say new things.

The rules are only necessary for the young student to get into professional music and start writing. Once you are there, you must set them aside so that you can create something new. After all that is what Bach and Mozart did like Stravinsky after them because there are new things to be said musically. But all ideas, be it a film school, a symphony or even a simple song, classical or pop, come about through a story. You must have a story, something to tell, to inspire the composer to make music.

There is just one thing which I personally have never found out of and that is how does one get into the film/music world? I was at the London film school earlier. They taught me many things but not how to get into the profession. Frequently one has asked what films or TV programmes have you written music for before? Without having anything concrete to refer too one is automatically bypassed. In other words you have to have a proven track record before you can get into the profession.

If you have any ideas about this Hans, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you.

Best of luck with your next film project.

Sincerely,

Ralph J. Cupper,

Greetings,
I'm engaging information about the masterclass held soon on Fridays. I'm living in Australia and wandering if the classes are only live or if recorded since I'm having to use only my spare time in watching these classes. I'm hoping it's ina Format I'm able to save and watch at a later stage. Is this true? Thanks for your assistance and look forward to hearing from you.
Regards, Graeme Cruickshank

Jaz Düx2017-01-04 20:24:08
Hey! The classes are not live and can be taken at your own pace. That's the beauty of it!

yes, I will put on youtube.
However, this site belongs to Hans Zimmer.
I here are just a guest.
I do not know if I have the permission of the admin Antas to put the link.

Hi Notapix, thanks for uploading it to youtube! Is there any chance you could put a download link for the flac or mp3 version in the description? I really like your mix and would like to have the best quality of it possible :)

I like it :)

Can Akcan2016-10-01 00:00:38
Hey NotaPix!
Thank you for your good comment :) I liked your covers too. Actually there is nothing new on my version but as a composer I learned a lot while doing this cover.
Kind regards,
Can Akcan

Adam Adams2016-10-04 09:59:50
That's what I did - I think of it as an exercise and great opportunity to look inside the track. And it has been a really good experience. I have learned a lot from it.

Great job, fellow composers!

Interstellar cover is really very nice. Well done!

NotaPix2016-09-07 14:34:44
grazie marco :)
sei tu che hai rifatto
''like a dog chasing cars'' e ''eptesicus''?

the covers are yours on
''like a dog chasing cars'' and ''eptesicus''?

Marco2016-09-10 19:46:45

ciao ;)

ENGLISH: your cover, and a few others made by other users, I liked the awesome fidelity with the original music by Hans Zimmer. I do not have great sound libraries as the only reference. I try to use, e.g, various types of little ''library-cello'' to make the tone less stereotyped as possible, in my opinion.

as a matter of very little money available to me, I'll settle for watching the concerts of Hans Zimmer on you tube.
what I like about Hans Zimmer, it is that the soundtracks always manages to capture the soul of the film.
he is not content to just follow the image or / and the emotional aspect.
He is a great.

Laura2016-09-20 16:25:55
Sorry, but how did you get the original score? It's so amazing your cover!!!!

NotaPix2016-09-21 15:19:30
(Excuse my bad English)
many thanks Laura.
I was highly motivated. very motivated.
'Detach' is the song that excited me especially compared to the other songs of 'Interstellar album' (beautiful them too).
I looked some tutorials in youtube... but there are not any.
so I wanted to copy the original song by Hans Zimmer listening carefully ... step by step. unfortunately I could not do better because I have not studied music, but I'm happy with the result.

a question please:
are you who made the covers 'The contender theme' and 'Now we are free'?
if so:
I really like your version 'Now we are free'.
if I understand correctly, I think the violin is real and not virtual. you play it you?
bye :)

Marco2016-09-24 11:03:18
I think the result is excellent especially if you haven't studied music. Can you please tell me about these cello libraries?
I like also small variations despite the cover being really matching the original, small variations with respect to the original (whether intended or result of the arrangment) give a touch of personal interpretation and originality. When it is the result of researching too much the original sound, it is not a good result (I believe I have this flaw in some parts my arrangment) but when it is not, then the result is good. Cannot explain better but in your "Da Vinci", I like that.

isildur2016-09-24 14:15:41
Both covers are awesome mate. Kudos!

NotaPix2016-09-24 18:59:53

Many thanks isildur. I hope to hear your own cover.

x marco:
hmmm. I'm a bit embarrassed.
google translator does not translate well from English, so do not understand the exact meaning of the text.
English words I know can be counted on the fingers of one hand. sorry.
about the libraries, I took as an example the 'cellos' section but also applies to other instruments.
I use different types of small libraries of the same instrument (without resorting to large libraries of last generation that are definitely good, but they are heavy for my pc).
the resulting sound as a whole is more 'full bodied' than using a single instrument (in our example: only one instument of cellos section).
but this should not, for me, make me lose sight of the overall sound of the song. This 'not lose sight of' it forces me to put some of my originality (perhaps appreciated or maybe not).
I hope I have correctly understood your question :)

it must be remembered, however, that is the musical composition that makes the difference. therefore, the compliments go to Hans Zimmer and staff ;)

Cyberpunk882016-09-25 22:03:26
Could you upload your Interstellar cover to Youtube? Or have a download link? I'd like to put it on my music player!

Laura2016-09-27 16:01:46
Hahaha no, I haven't done any cover at the moment. I'm searching the score from the vocal version (there's a version in youtube, I don't know if you know it) from "now we are free" and the orchestal score of "Chevaliers de Sangreal". I really love that theme!

And also sorry for my bad english, I'm spanish studying english :D

Hola Laura ;)
yes, I listened to the vocal version of 'now we are free'... (different versions in youtube).
there is one that I really like, but no vocal, made by Tina Guo playing the cello. I believe that the originality of Tina has respected the soul that Hans Zimmer had evoked with this magnificent music.
:)

good morning
(Sorry for my bad English ... google translator)

I'd put my cover as a tribute on this page 'fan covers' of Hans Zimmer.
I have some questions:
1) it is necessary that I possess some requirements or some permission?
2) the audio file I done, what specifications should have (* .wav, Hz, ...)?
3) where do I upload the file?
4) I prefer to put a nick name instead of my own name. it's possible?

Thanks for your attention.

a warm greeting to Hans Zimmer and to all of you who work with him.
