Well, gladly it is over with this Garage (If it's not the one we know, he might be as sucker as the one we all hate). Fair enough: When the complete score is out, talk about it. While we wait, well... let's... wait... more? xD
I am almost embarrassed to say that it took over a day to figure out the significance of this post. I just thought that it was some random fuck that's who's just poking fun at a situation that nobody involved has any control over.
But then I remembered who David was and what he did. And now I am giving him attention that he does not deserve.
Hello! I am Vivaswan.upcoming composer.I would like to assist Mr.Zimmer sir.But i don't really know how to approach may be should i send a cd of my music i would like to know .Please can anyone guide me.Thank You

You need to contact him directly in his studio in Los Angeles, California. Throw this "Almost" Website th Ads will say "NO"
I believe someone a while back said the tracks aren't actually cues. That's incorrect. I edited the soundtrack and put stuff in the right order and they are cues indeed, just put together somewhat curiously on the album.

Really? Do tell!
Mike
2013-01-25 07:18:13
I’ll admit right off the bat that pretty much all the tracks on the album are edited from their movie form. Also, there were times where I had to take little sections and put them together (for example, Half Remembered Dream + a small part of We Built Our Own World + the end of Paradox = the beginning scene, before "Projections" plays).
Nevertheless, watching the various scenes multiple times, I was able to determine the following:
Half Remembered Dream = opening logos
We Built Our Own World - the very beginning is used when Cobb is looking at his kids in the opening scene. Another part was used when the “dream team” enters the snowy area. The rest is more like a suite, I guess.
Dream is Collapsing is the “main” part of the end credits
Radical Notion is when Ariadne is building the dream and is attacked by the Mal projection
Old Souls is pretty much unused
528491 is when Fischer opens the safe in the “disappointed” scene, though the end kick is way bigger in the movie
Mombasa is obvious
One Simple Idea is a recurring motif, predominantly used when everyone is planning how their mission in Fischer’s subconscious will happen
Dream Within a Dream - the action part is used when they’re fighting projections in the snow level. The other half is used when Cobb and Ariadne are exploring Limbo.
Waiting for a Train is when Cobb is telling Ariadne about Mal’s failure to believe in reality; more obviously, though, it encompasses a lot of the scenes in Limbo/while they’re waiting for the final kick.
Paradox is when Cobb decides to “let Mal go” and subsequently drops into Limbo to get Saito
Time is the end scene
Projections is the opening scenes, from when we first see Saito to when Cobb is pushed into the bathtub.
Don’t Think About Elephants is BASICALLY the fight in the rotating hallway.
Night
2013-01-25 07:57:34
I believe Half-Remembered Dream which involves the opening logos, merges to the scene when Ariadne sneaks into Cobb's mind and sees him with Mal. Right when she turns to Ariadne and you hear the BANG! thats when We Built Our Own World begins.
Mr. Fate
2013-01-25 14:17:07
Well, you're mostly right. I'm not going to nitpick at your breakdown, but there is one small detail I want to point out that applies to the whole OST.
Even though you described most of the scenes correctly, the majority of the music on the OST does not sound like the corresponding music in the film. By and large the OST is just a bunch of suites, whereas in the film things have been rearranged, extended, edited, etc. to fit with on-screen events.
Now, with that being said, I could make adjustments to the things you pointed out that were a bit off-center...or not.
Medigo
2013-01-25 15:28:36
Well I for one know 'Dont think about Elephants' is more from the last leg of the snow area scenes, up until Mal shoots Fischer and gets shot herself. Though it sounds slightly different and misses the middle section. The hallway scene just uses very similar music
As far as I recall, the track closest to the movie was 'Radical Notion'

There are. "Welcome Home, Mr Cobb" is quite different (and to me, better) than the Time suite.
Mike
2013-01-26 19:48:47
I agree; the film version is better. I just thought they were similar enough that they could be considered the same, with the album version perhaps being edited for a "better" listening experience.
Crap! I wish there was a way to have this beautiful masterpiece.

Way to be a negative Nancy there, Mike. We've seen (what we once thought as impossible) incredible leaks of the Pirates trilogy and demos for the 4th film, all 3 Transformers films in FLAC, the Dark Knight trilogy complete scores (2 in FLAC), etc. etc etc. yet you can sit here and deny to yourself that we won't get a legit complete release like that?
It WILL leak eventually and like the real end of the world, we may never know when that'll happen and when it does, it'll be big...then life will move on as normal and another score will cause just as much demand and dedication before it's leaked. And who knows maybe if we're lucky, Zimmer will compose a score that's not 40% ambient filler or overly aggressive action pieces. The Man of Steel I think will be the point where I draw a line between myself and Zimmer because he did okay with the Dark Knight but when I hear the Superman theme, I don't want to imagine The Thin Red Line.
Cody
2013-01-23 08:21:30
Actually, it's not Zimmer I have the complaints with. It's Zack Snyder. I just simply don't like his style but I won't lie and say that I don't think him and Snyder could be a combo. We shall see.

Personally from listening to the complete score in other formats i think the ost plus bonuses is more than enough. The score is really repetitive and you are not missing out on much, maybe a few different variations of the same cues. I understand there are some completists who would prefer this n complete form but for me it would be a time waster.

I think I've seen this track list before. It wouldn't surprise me if it was another person who believed it to be legitimate--except this person could not be convinced otherwise. A startling number of tracks list here bare the same names (and lengths) as some tracks from one or more fan-made edits do.
Where can these fan-made edits be found? On the forum that cannot be linked to on this site. It is bloody awful that not only is there some charlatan out there profiting from unfortunate souls who don't know any better but also that he is gaining this profit by using material that is openly available and free to everyone. And there isn't a damn thing we can do about it.

well... i have another version, i don't know if it a real or a fake version but it sound very good without any sfx (maybe a few, i don't know)
I know that Journey to the Line was used to set the tone for that track. Now, online I found a song, about a minute and a half in length, which sounds like a crossover between Journey to the Line and Time. It's supposedly an alternate mix of Time. If anyone knows what I'm referring to, is it real, or is someone just really good at editing?
Half Remembered Dream and We Built Our Own World are missing from the FYC. Does anyone know why? Could those two tracks be either Lorne Balfe or Johnny Marr?
Mr. Fate
2012-11-20 23:53:57
"Half Remembered Dream" contains, of course, extrapolations of "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien", but that does not explain, then, why "Waiting for a Train" is on the FYC (if you are correct in identifying what tracks are not present).
If anything on the OST is by Lorne Balfe, it would be "One Simple Idea", as an extended version of that track can be found on Balfe's site.
I have no guesses about "We Built Our Own World"--only that I don't think Johnny Marr actually wrote anything. He just contributed his guitar talent to the score, which is heard in probably half of the OST tracks. But that's all just a guess.
I really want to know... If the Inception recording sessions were available, wouldn't hans-zimmer.com tell it? I mean, they look like the ones who know what they're talking about.

this is from?
Mr. Fate
2012-05-30 16:00:33
Doesn't matter where it's from. It's just the OST and bonus tracks arranged in film order (as best as they can be without one or two of them being split up into smaller cues), with the end credits ripped from the DVD/Blu-Ray, the JunkieXL remix, the trailer music, and...who really cares what that "suite" is?
It is a fact that there is a *minimum* of three expanded scores available that are superior to whatever this list is, and you should know where to find them.
Boy, I'm glad I didn't have to say that. I'd been thinking for a while, trying to come with something to response with, but all I could think of was:
What? Did you make that yourself? Good for you. Now I can add this to my collection of a thousand other Inception mixes, remixes, "theme suites", main theme custom mixes, and what-have-you.

There's this tool called a DVD Audio Extractor that anyone can use to extract and separate DVD audio into 6 independent channels. A good majority of the audio for Inception is totally clean of SFX (once you get rid of channel 3, where all the dialogue occurs).
Whoever made that edit was only able to include the music that had absolutely no SFX in it (and he even failed at that to some extent). A good majority of the score is not included in those fake-ass "demo recording sessions" due to a door slamming there or gunshots here or rain, minor voice echoes, or a number of other SFX that the creator was unable to find a way to remove or filter out.

That sucks. Well for a fake, its some clean music for the most part. I just wish the real thing would leak already just to quiet down all those fan-boys. I'm only interested in it b/c I found the music awesome to listen to and it would be great to add to my "Complete Score" collection.
