Whoa, man, don't hate on The Dark Knight. The reason a lot of cues were reused was because Chris Nolan loved the music in Begins and determined he "wouldn't need much in the way of new music for The Dark Knight" (see the booklet that comes with TDK's 2-CD release). I agree that TDK isn't as thematically developed (we have the Joker theme, which is used incessantly, Dent's theme, which is reimagined from the first movie, and the new Batman theme, which isn't used nearly enough), but I think the score is an admirable one. There are more new cues than you might at first think, but, in keeping with the Joker and the whole "chaos" theme of the film, they're more like "noise" than "melodious".IMHO this is a much better sequel score than The Dark Knight was. There's so much new stuff in it. Most of the cues are new stuff. Tracks 12, 15-18, 32, 42-43, 48, and 50-53 (12 cues out of 54) recycle old material, but most of it still incorporates new stuff in some way. TDK recycled a lot of old cues (LSI Extraction, Trip to Hong Kong, You're Gonna Love Me, Gordon Is Dead, & Gordon Returns Home, and Wired) and didn't feel like its themes were as developed.tracklist...<br>fuck, i missed it? -____-Indeed, the article is misleading. He said he wants to see the movie; his pains were predominantly related to Christopher Reeve.Find another site to post your tracklist, please.
it won't be leaked today in any time. That was a fake Anonymous. When a score will be leak i post a tracklist. That was a fake anonymous123. Yes, some selected people has the sessions from the last samurai. But, they are using this to trade and get other sessions. The sessions will see the face of the sun but it will take a long time. Just like Titanic and all Harry potter sessions. <br><br>Trust in me.Lorne confirmed to me he did some consulting on it. Just some advice to Vidal... :)<br><br>And yeah, I watched the film this morning, lots of RCP samples used indeed !You've got a pretty name :) xxxOh, come on. Just listen to the score, and if you hear a solo violin, that's Joshua Bell. If you really need pointers, start with the cue "503", which is also the end titles. It's basically a remix of "Chevaliers de Sangreal" at a slightly faster pace and with Bell over the top.Did he watch any of the other Superman Movies he didn't score? Oh wait those movies still kept to his standard... <br><br>I don't see what the big deal is. He should be aware of the reboot phenomena by now and it's a different animal from his.<br> <br>TOTALLY different animal.
I saw that article too, but it's misleading. The reason he says it'll be hard to watch is NOT the music, but rather because of Chris Reeve no longer playing Superman.<br><br>Good news about Star Wars, though!blog . zap2it . com/pop2it/2013/05/man-of-steel-will-be-hard-for-me-to-see-s ays-superman-composer-john-williams.html<br><br><br>I don't think he should be worried, there's only one Master in film music.I heard somewhere that Vidal now works in HGW's old studio, is that true?<br><br>Also, more to the point, is the score from FF6 going to get a release? The movie's already out and I haven't heard anything, which is making me a little nervous. I really like Vidal's scores (Cold Light of Day was excellent) and this is his biggest movie yet so I'm interested to hear it, especially if he actually keeps continuity with Tyler's themes. A different composer keeping the previous themes? I must be dreaming!Thank you! :) I'm actually not really that sure about Lorne's specific credit (it could be "musical consultant") - but I'm sure it isn't "additional music". <br><br>I'm curious about the situation with this one, because it sounded like one of those "complicated scores" (and I don't mean a bad score - just a last minute rewrite, or something like that - the score itself is actually quite enjoyable). It borrows heavily from Brian Tyler's material for last two movies (mainly Letty's and the "family" theme) and it also features quite a few temp-track inspired cues (Mombasa, Time), but of course that's not a fault of a composer. :)Hybrid, can you tell me which tracks feature Joshua Bell as solo violin?
I'm not pretty sure...im pretty sure A123 said it will be on the 25thDamn... ;-)Lol, of course not...<br>it's just a stupid joke from some blokeany leak at 8:00 ? ^_^

*Sometimes it is a lot longer than months. We're coming up on almost 2 years ago that Revenge of the Fallen was released and still, nothing. I also want to make a note that *sometimes* something additional will be released, and that I am also in no way involved with the music industry. Just another fan who could not live without Hans' music, that's all...

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-17 00:00:00
Because an entire score is almost never released commercially. How many of Hans' or anybody's scores from RCP for that matter, been released complete? Sure, months later an expanded or complete or recording sessions will be released, but not physically. If there ever is an Inception Expanded / Complete, it will probably be on it.

What is the rough film order of the CD, anyone no? Even if u have to split tracks or whatever. Or is it more or less right?

SB reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-16 00:00:00
Tillman mentioned that he is going to be working on POTC4...

Ele reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-16 00:00:00
Still, he used to be playing a major soloist role in many many RCP scores in the past. I'm wondering, why I am not seeing "Martin Tillman - Cello" anymore.

After another very upsetting viewing of the oscars, (obviously when the oscar for best score was announced I locked myself in my room for quite some time lol) both myself and a friend of mine decided to just record some Zimmer at 2am in the morning. He is on Trombone and i'm playing Horn.

Great, Tim! Now all we need is someone to upload it with English subtitles!

The documentary was really great !

It can be watched online for 7 days here :

h t t p ://videos.arte.tv/fr/videos/hans_zimmer-3759850.html

I don't know if there are any country restriction, and it's dubbed in French or German (most of it was spoken in English).

But it was really interesting, about HZ's past ! And it did not forget RCP, like most of the featurettes about HZ... There was Martin Tillman, Lorne Balfe, Ramin Djawadi... :)

Ele reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-15 00:00:00
As for Tillman, why he's not present in latest RCP scores? Zimmer & Co started to use Tina instead of him or what?

Tim reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-15 00:00:00
Maybe he's on other projects which has nothing to do with RCP?

Tim reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-14 00:00:00
just watched the Zimmer doc! Awesome! A lot of Lorne quotes. He's such an honest guy:
On his first day at RCP Hans asked Lorne if he's aware of the computer programm which is usually used to compose the score. Lorne was like "No...*pause* I'm joking of course I am!" dispite he wasn't aware! :) so he stidied the instruction book all night...

self edited "expanded" scores?? that isn't worth to check out! Dark Knight 3 CD Complete or an equal edition of Inception...that would be worth dying for!!

Oops I apologize, it's called LostScores

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-10 00:00:00
@Tim & 4tseven,

That is the so-called 'expanded' score. I found it on the blog thescoreplace. The guy makes his own custom covers. I posted a link for the over a month or two ago. I think it's a fake.

Tim reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-08 00:00:00
@4steven: Where did you find that picture? Maybe it's a fake?!
