There's an interesting article here about Zack Hemsey: www.slashfilm.com/inception-trailer-composer-zack-hemsey-pro filed/ It mentions that his music for the trailer was actually what inspired Zimmer to incorporate that into the score... I'd always assumed that it was the other way around, with Zimmer's score being written prior to the trailer piece. Does anyone know if that is accurate?

This is not accurate, Hans Zimmer has always produced similar scores: Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Inception. The choice of what to incorporate and where was probably not influenced by someone else in such a drastic way.
Zimmer's inspiration for the score is "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" performed by Edith Piaf. It's heard several times in the film, it's what plays when it's time for them to wake up. Slowed down, it's basically most of "Half Remembered Dream". It's in the Soundtrack insert. "Half Remembered Dream" and "Waiting For A Train" contain portions of it. You can search for it on YouTube, someone demonstrated it. Maybe some soldier could add an asterisk next to those tracks and make a not of it at the bottom? Just a request.....
thanks - I'm familiar with the clever Edith Piaf inspirations and references, but what I was mainly referring to are the big singular "BRRAAAWWWMMMM"s like at the end of 528491
Well done! *slow sarcastic joker-style clapping* next time, do something where we're relieved that it's just a joke, not dissapointed out of our minds. for instance, "michael bay to direct next batman movie" or something. but you sure as hell fooled me! hahaha not funny
Hybrid, what link? The site I went to when I Googled it seems very ellaborate and legit. It lists May 10th as a release date and a price of $49.95. If it is fake, then damn the person to hell who did this
