If we ask the composers for Dunkirk Complete score, they can give us?I think we are all in for a nice surprise...Several clips of the film are on YT. With some music. Sounds like 90's score from HZ. Too bad the directing seems to come from an age movies didn't exist...No. It’s a boys choir. S&K bros is a girl’s choirSeems like Scala & Kolacny Brothers.
In what way is it "obvious", exactly, that Djawadi had more influence on that Training cue than Zimmer? It's basically just a statement of Zimmer's theme, and doesn't really sound notably "Djawadi-esque" to me in any way.Thanks for the credits updateA bit of who did what...Lorne also confirmed that he took charge of Mr.Charles, and without saying that Lorne was on the good side of Score in general, so his influence was substantially high.Hybrid confirmed that training is composed by Ramin and Hans and it is obvious that Ramin's influence is superior to that of Hans.
are we expecting the score for dark phoenix to be released in a week or so, if the movie itself drops early june?Not as simply as that.... Training is Ramin's arrangement of a Hans theme, and the core of Mr. Charles when the Fischer theme isn't playing is a Hans idea, too, as far as I know. Take the Zimmer out and those moments wouldn't be the same.I think Balfe working with Nolan would have done a great jobBob,The Training is basically Ramin Djawadi and Mr.Charles is BalfeI hope these two team up again. Zimmer's score is the main driving force for some memorable scenes. Just a few
Batman Begins-The Training
TDK- Joker crash the party, Gordon's speech and ending
Inception - Time, Mr.Charles,
TKDR - the climb, imagine the fire and orphan
Interstellar-Stay, Docking, coward, mountain
Dunkirk - well the entire movie
Justin Hurwitz I can see. I enjoyed La La Land and First Man. But Both Hurwitz and Göransson are several notches above Lorne Balfe.

I think 80/100 directors would rather work with Göransson than Balfe.I really believe that Nolan has made a mistake as a composer.I think Lorne Balfe, David Julyan or Justin Hurwitz would be much better options than Ludwig Goransson.Interesting news.

Geoff Zanelli is one of those composers who I’ve loved his additional music over his solo efforts, Pirates 5 excluded. I hope he gets a chance to write some great fantasy music for this, regardless if he reuses JNH’s themes or not.I think I am the only one, who would be glad about David Julyan return.

I really like his music for early Nolan's films, especially Insomnia, and it's what i can call an "atmospheric experience".

Don't know how his music fits for espionage timetraveling movie, but, for me, i'st would be something interesting to hear.@mpolonest123: those Pemberton scores are indeed pure gold, very cool on album but insanely good in the movie. My favorite is still his King Arthur, that was a beast of a score that stuck with the movie like glue and really enhanced Guy Ritchie's dark, twisted, trippy vision.

I'm guessing a release for a Zimmer/Nolan assignment is guaranteed. The format is more likely a matter of uncertainty.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-08 00:00:00
I'm starting to wonder if this actually will be released. I mean, WaterTower has taken it down from their website, and all we really have to go on is the info on Amazon. Do you think it's been cancelled and Amazon hasn't caught up yet?

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
Yes indeed it vanished from WaterTower's website...

Funny thing is Amazon credits Lorne as composer with HZ... Finally ? :D

Lawrence reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
I understand that Lorne Balfe makes the additional music but why on amazon and also on wikipedia is he's called as the second composer?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
Why is there no such thing on WaterTower website?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
It's available for pre-order on Amazon now, will be released on July 13.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
@Lawrence

Whatever the official credit is, it's a secret for nobody that Lorne is more than just the "additional music" guy... ;)

Lawrence reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
@Hybrid Soldier

But do you expect that we become a soundtrack cover credits: Music Composed by Hans Zimmer & Lorne Balfe? I don't think so. This is not the same as in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight". And by the way I heard that "Inception" will be a independence work by Zimmer with minimal use of additional music.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
The official site has a real sample of the official score up. It sounds great: it starts off with some guitar work by Johnny Marr (whom Zimmer has confirmed as being involved), and then the simple tempo established just builds and builds...I really hope this gets released!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
How do you know that it has original music?

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2010-06-02 00:00:00
A blog called "The Playlist" reported it. Plus, since Zimmer was attached to the project pretty early on, I think it's reasonable to assume that what's on the site is his work.

Im liking it so far

I heard a rumour that Hans and John will be scoring Disneys new "Winnie the Pooh" film. I'm pretty worried that hans isn't planning to do the new Pirates film - this is his schedule for next summer

March 18 - Rango
May 20 - Pirates 4
June 3 - Kung Fu Panda 2
July 15 - Winnie the Pooh

It's possible but fairly tight. But possibly with the new director and direction he won't be interested in returning to POTC. I really hope not.

2012 should be one of his best years ever with sequels to Sherlock Holmes, Angels and Demons and the Dark Knight, three of his best scores in recent times

Also the hobbit by howard shore! Can't wait for 2012!!

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2010-05-19 00:00:00
@ blondie,

I heard Hans won't do Rango, but I don't recall who would be doing it in his place... I thought it was John Powell, and Kung Fu Panda 1 was with John Powell, so probably they would compose 50/50.
That leaves only Winnie as a ''complete'' project, so he could have time for Pirates 4!

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2010-05-19 00:00:00
Yeah Kung Fu Panda's the only one thats right on top of P4 really.

That's the first I've heard that hans wont do rango - are you sure you're not mixing it up with Mars Needs Moms (john powell replaced hans on this)

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2010-05-19 00:00:00
I agree with Blondie, even if I prefer to hear Zimmer in POTC4 than in Kung Fu Panda 2... :S
