Oscar® winning composer Hans Zimmer and heralded guitarist Johnny Marr (The Smiths, Modest Mouse, The Cribs) will perform a special concert backed by a 20-piece orchestra Tuesday, July 13th. Immediately following the film’s Los Angeles premiere, the one-time concert takes place at the official after-party on the same day as the soundtrack, Inception: Music From The Motion Picture, is released by Warner Bros. Records. The performance will stream live to fans at www.ustream.tv/inceptionpremiere. Proceeds from tickets sold to the Inception film premiere and after-party event will benefit the Alliance for Climate Protection.
Zimmer will sign copies of Inception: Music From The Motion Picture at Amoeba Music, 6400 W. Sunset Blvd., in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 15th, at 8 pm. A midnight screening of Inception will follow at the nearby Arclight Hollywood Cinema, 6360 W. Sunset Blvd.
The first 200 fans to purchase the Inception Soundtrack fan pack will receive a movie poster, the CD soundtrack, a guaranteed place in line to meet Zimmer at the signing, and a ticket to the midnight screening – the first official showing of the film – at the Arclight Hollywood. Packages go on sale at Amoeba for $35 beginning on July 13th at 10:30 am.
Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) and starring an international cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio, opens nationwide in theatres and IMAX on July 16th.

@mark w I know that for the second trailer the music is from one of Zimmer's demo music. So I guess you wont get a chance to hear it. The very last seconds are from Mike Zarin (Sentic Music).
Some music composed by hans zimmer in the dark knight and batman begins trailers went unreleased. so dont expect any trailer music from inception to get released either.
Any news of the bonus tracks that exist but don't exist? 13. "Projections" and 14. "Don't Think About Elephants?"
I bet we, the fans, are going to get double dipped on this one. I'd expect a collectors soundtrack with everything we have already heard in the previous except with a couple extra.
Oh, it was wonderful. Really, the music made the movie. Nolan/Zimmer work is always spectacular. I'm not sure if I could ever watch a Christopher Nolan film without a Hans Zimmer score. I just came from the theater. Really, I'm out of my mind with wonderment. I could give this soundtrack *infinite* praise.
This whole soundtrack is amazing. I really love Dream is Collapsing, and Dream Within a Dream. But Time is one of the most beautiful songs ever! And after watching the movie, I love the soundtrack even more! Good job Hans.
After watching Inception, I can say with ease that the music helped turn a great movie in to the greatest movie. Just as much as the actors and the set, the music pushes and pulls at your emotions and directs your attention with near perfect command.
Can anyone please help me find the name of the French song in the movie , the one that plays just before they have to wake up? please help, its driving me mad, i want to find it now.Thanks!
It would be a pleasure to add it, but as i live in a little town in France, i have to wait for my CD as no shop sell it here... So i'm waiting for amazon to send my CD... I hope this week-end on the webradio ;-)
