Oh, come on. Just listen to the score, and if you hear a solo violin, that's Joshua Bell. If you really need pointers, start with the cue "503", which is also the end titles. It's basically a remix of "Chevaliers de Sangreal" at a slightly faster pace and with Bell over the top.Did he watch any of the other Superman Movies he didn't score? Oh wait those movies still kept to his standard...

I don't see what the big deal is. He should be aware of the reboot phenomena by now and it's a different animal from his.

TOTALLY different animal.I saw that article too, but it's misleading. The reason he says it'll be hard to watch is NOT the music, but rather because of Chris Reeve no longer playing Superman.

Good news about Star Wars, though!blog . zap2it . com/pop2it/2013/05/man-of-steel-will-be-hard-for-me-to-see-s ays-superman-composer-john-williams.html

I don't think he should be worried, there's only one Master in film music.I heard somewhere that Vidal now works in HGW's old studio, is that true?

Also, more to the point, is the score from FF6 going to get a release? The movie's already out and I haven't heard anything, which is making me a little nervous. I really like Vidal's scores (Cold Light of Day was excellent) and this is his biggest movie yet so I'm interested to hear it, especially if he actually keeps continuity with Tyler's themes. A different composer keeping the previous themes? I must be dreaming!
Thank you! :) I'm actually not really that sure about Lorne's specific credit (it could be "musical consultant") - but I'm sure it isn't "additional music".

I'm curious about the situation with this one, because it sounded like one of those "complicated scores" (and I don't mean a bad score - just a last minute rewrite, or something like that - the score itself is actually quite enjoyable). It borrows heavily from Brian Tyler's material for last two movies (mainly Letty's and the "family" theme) and it also features quite a few temp-track inspired cues (Mombasa, Time), but of course that's not a fault of a composer. :)Hybrid, can you tell me which tracks feature Joshua Bell as solo violin?I'm not pretty sure...im pretty sure A123 said it will be on the 25thDamn... ;-)
Lol, of course not...
it's just a stupid joke from some blokeany leak at 8:00 ? ^_^Vidal is quite linked to RCP indeed. Bruce Fowler orchestrated some of his movies.

Lorne "technical assistant" ? You sure ? No way, he wouldn't lose time on a film like that as tech assistant. Music consultant why not. This just looks like a credit to hide his true role. I'll do a little enquiry about that... :Pthis is going to be an intense(ly satirical) film.Just a little offtopic - does anyone know something about Lorne's/RCP involvement in Fast & Furious 6? There's a bunch of RCP credits (Lorne Balfe as technical assistant, Gavin Greenaway as conductor) in end titles of the movie + the whole score sounds quite "RCP-ish" in some places (it even features a few samples from the RCP sample library). Thanks! :)
Anybody else hear Curse of the Black Pearl in the first fifty seconds of "I Claim Your Sun"?Hybrid, any info on who did what?thank you very much my friend i really appreciate that :)i hope this is good :DGuitwo, here it is. Crappy quality though:

/watch?v=yhov2VdhbzA

OMG if you're the real Hans Zimmer, if you're then i wanna tell you that I'm living breathing and drinking your incredible music.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-29 00:00:00
I'm afraid that this is an unofficial site--it's not maintained by Zimmer or any of his associates.

This is a must have... and It's Complicated too. What a happy December.

IT'S COMPLICATED
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Music Composed by Hans Zimmer and Heitor Pereira

Due to insufficient music in the final cut of the film, this release has now been canceled.

It's Complicated canceled! WHAT!?

Ravi Krishna reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-28 00:00:00
Same, I don't think this one is going to be stopped (at least I hope it doesn't). Bring it on!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-28 00:00:00
I don'th think so...however it's not a kolossal...

easton reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-28 00:00:00
Uhm, It's Complicated may not be your thing but it doesn't look like a poor film. I think it will do well at the box office.

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-28 00:00:00
It can't be stopped...It's a big film and not a poor film like "It's Complicated"...

now we just need lenght details...

Skyler reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
Strange... I think this is the first movie score cover album artwork I've seen to have a "music produced by" credit in addition to the standard "music composed by."

Hey can anyne tell me what tracks did hans zimmer do in the transformers 2?

Ravi Krishna reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
This might be one of the best scores this year if I trust my intuition. I hope the movie is successful too, so there can be sequels and more scores from Hans!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
Right...I'll buy the CD and I'll go to see the movie in cinemas!!!

PS: will be this film in 3D?!!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
I forgot to say that this is a great tracklist!!! Very good job Hans!!! There are fantastic titles!!!

But the cover should be done in HD...in iTunes it should appear GOOD!!! :D
(Just kidding)

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
Ehi guys...do you think that Hans will be nominated for Oscar? Or for any other award?

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
Good cover, good tracklisting but we may never know, this one may end up in the same venue as 'It's Complicated' so best wait and see if it actually happens!

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-27 00:00:00
I think the fact that there's a cover and tracklisting at all means that the chances of this being released are very high, but that's just IMO.

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-26 00:00:00

@Enrico:

Sorry, after much searching I haven't been able to find the specific song from the "Christmas Carol" trailer. The best I can do is that it's probably something from one of the Harry Potter scores, either one of the original soundtracks or a complete version of the score. Sorry, thats the only hint I found : ( But if you like trailer music, you should also check out a group called Immediate Music. Awesome, awesome stuff! I think on iTunes they're named just Immediate, but it's the same group. Also search for another group called Two Steps From Hell. Their stuff is simply epic...especially their single "Master Of Shadows" which can be heard in the recent trailer of "2012." Have a great day : )

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-21 00:00:00
Ehi Brad, I've a question for you!
Do you know where can I find the music used in the trailer of "A Christmas Carol" please? On the original soundtrack there isn't anything of that music...
Thanks!
