+1 <br>"Marry Me" (and every reprise/variation of the Love Theme from AwE) is a wonderful piece of music. :)<br><br>... and don't forget "Show Me Your Firetruck" or "Journey To The Line". ;)Thank God! If there's one thing that bugs me it's synth horns. I don't mind electronics if they can add to the orchestra, but I'd prefer them not to replace it.Thanks Hybrid! :) Yeah, lots of samples, but sadly there weren't any RCP-sampled french horns. Those are always epic... :-)Depends on the mood... ;)I know!!! The way the music kind of swelled when Gordon said, "They know. It was the Batman." and you saw them uncover the statue. There were manly tears, I tell you!
I agree. Even though the last minute and a half was a blatant copy of the music used in the previous movie (see "A Watchful Guardian"), I for once didn't care (I usually hate it when a whole cue is copied exactly). The entire ending scene gets my emotions going every time. Especially when I saw it in the theater.I thought all the end music (basically the entire track "Rise") was just PERFECT. One of the biggest goosebumps i've ever had in a theatre (on par with Beckett's death in PotC) :pHybrid Soldier, since you're virtually famous, what Zimmer work is your favorite? :PAnd 9:11-14:12 in "Rocket Away" from the Rock! :DA favorite of mine that hardly anyone mentions is The Burning Bush from The Prince of Egypt. It really conveys the presence of God.
I like the theme a lot, too, Ds, and it made perfect sense to use it when Batman showed up in the tunnel (my favorite part of the movie) and when he saved Blake from the thugs, but when Batman said, "This isn't a car", we had just heard it in the previous scene. And when Batman appears out of the exploding building at the end, it sounds really forced.You guys are right. These are all AMAZING themes. Moving and addictive!<br><br>I'd add "Hummel Gets The Rockets" from The Rock and "All Of Them" from King Arthur.Marry Me is my favorite Zimmer theme and cue as well. Although all of the suggestions below are also great pieces. I'll throw in the main theme from Crimson Tide as well as practically the proto power anthem. Such an influential score.Aragorn, thought the same thing while watching the movie. I think they were in deep love with that tune (and so am i), and were incessantly thinking: "Come on, this is the last Batman we do, this is the last time ever we can use this, so LET'S GO!" :pFort Walton - Kansas reminds me of summer cookouts or somethin' nice like that.
Or "Tennessee" from Pearl Harbor.Don't forget Chevaliers De Sangreal, Now We Are Free, and The Heart of Davy Jones! ;)<br>Amen to that! "Marry Me", "Time", and "A Dark Knight" would definitely have to go on my list of "Hans Zimmer's most amazing themes ever".... i missed it :(The Marry Me suite is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. :)

I agree with Fabian...I don't think that this score could be a masterpiece...It's good but not EPIC!!!
Hans has done much better with kolossal films...
Come on Hans! We're waiting for Sherlcok Holmes!!!

This score is horrible. First off, all this money and no live orchestra?

Reused themes en masse, reused left over materials from Dark knight, reused entire phrases from Black hawk down....

Yeah a *cough* great score that need an official release....not.

I'd would say this score is a major fail. Most won't care as long as its got Zimmer's name on it.

For a video game, I must say I love it!

Nice touch by Hans in the whole score.

considering that this is Hans Zimmer's first outing with a video game, I have to say, I'm beyond impressed and I've listened to countless game soundtracks, now when does it get officially released is the question

If you want a good game score - try Jesper Kyd (AC 1&2), O'Donnell (Halo series) or Soule (i.e. Morrowind or Guild Wars).

This message is adressed to Sd,

We dont care about what u say, Zimmer is number 1, no one else.
Try to respect the guy for his magnificent work, then u'll be respecting urself.
I assume ur no musician and u cant be one, just go complementing ur favorite composer whatever loser he is, like john williams or steve jablonsky or howard shore

yondaime hokage reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
hey hans fan take it easy, john williams , steve jablomsky and howard shore are ground breaking composers, steve will soon be. and let sd complain, if u start talking shit about other composers than what difference is there between you two. this is just a fan made demo nothing more, i have this version that is posted below, i also have the 247 tracks that last almost 7 hours version as well, until a proper version is released i will not comment about its music.

Bou' reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
oh well, we need an official release or at last a courageous fan of the game for great game rip:) (I can't listen to 7 hours of music really)

Thank you Hans Zimmer for amazing music for Modern Warfare 2, you made a masterpiece.

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
Ehi guys! What are you saying about Hans? Dirty affairs? We listen Hans everyday and then we say those things? Mh...no guys...I think that we should be more "good".
However I think that Steve and many others composers must thank Hans, because he gave them a lots of job!!!

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
@ to hans fan

Perhaps it's a dirty business, or Hans is just a handy business-man!

to hans fan reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
Zimmer is famous, because he is always credited on the front cover, but doesn't mean he has composed the music. Jablonsky was a Zimmer's ghostwriter for a some time. So, the actual thief is Zimmer. Anyway, it's just a dirty business.

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
@ hans fan

Steve Jablonsky is a very talented composer. All composers, like Alan Silvestri or Howard Shore, lend themes from one another. One composer may seem to do it a bit more. Steve seems to have the same orchestrating style in Transformers as Hans has. But did it ever occur to you he was ASKED to compose that why by Michael Bay?

And... calling Steve a fake Zimmer, listen to Desperate Housewives, Steamboy, Command & Conquer 3 or his horror scores. I don't hear anything from Hans Zimmer in the music. Do not judge if you don't have enough information.

Steve Jablonsky is famous enough. But you should know that fame isn't important in the filmmusic word. One who wants to be in the spotlights as composer is going to MTV, not Paramount.

hans fan reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-16 00:00:00
first of all, steve jablonsky is a fake zimmer, I mean look at the transformers movie, when I first watched it I thought it was zimmer's work, he's just a copy of hans zimmer, he has no ideas of his own, he just steals zimmer's ideas. I dont like copiers, but people dont know that , that's y zimmer is famous and jablonsky is not

the full end credits in the game, reminds me of the rock crossed with the crimson tide soundtrack and the dark knight. The gulag theme was also very good, definitely reminded me of the rock and the peacemaker combined

It's sounds pretty good although i didn't play the game. There are few interestig parts but I expected something more - not just electronic beats from MV library.

I doubt that Zimmer sacrificed more than 2 weeks for this.

Evenstar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-14 00:00:00
@Hybrid Soldier: are u sure about that? that would be kind of unfair since they never released any COD score in stores yet... why should they release the zimmer score now? hmm.
