It's finally here!!!<br><br>https://m usic.apple.com/nz/album/the-rhythm- section-original-motion-picture-soundtrack/1534071511The original soundtrack of Greenland by David Buckley is now release by varese sarabande/Music.Film.Recordings. here's the tracklist<br><br>1.Imperfect Lives 1:37<br>2.Butterfly Effect 1:56<br>3.First Shockwave 4:56<br>4.Seperated 3:42<br>5.Living Ghosts 3:28<br>6.FEMA Camp 4:58<br>7.Broken Souls 2:21<br>8.Innocence Lost 3:51<br>9.Reunited 3:05<br>10.Things Fall Apart 4:29<br>11.Memories And Desires 3:14<br>12.Molten Rain 6:19<br>13.Greenland 3:49<br>14.A Good Death 4:42<br>15.Brave New World 2:24<br><br>Time Album Length(55:14)<br><br>Btw i really like david buckley's unhinged soundtrack including this one.I hear a lot of music throughout the postcad, I imagine from the movie, piano and very orchestral, it promisesseeming score snippets at 6:29, 29:13 and 34:55.in the first episode is nothing about the score :/ mehh
This is a beautiful score by the way. I have feeling this will get lost with NTTD, Dune, and WW84 coming out, but people should give this a listen. The new overture is a nice remix of the main PEII theme. And I "Surfing Dolphins" is yet again a winner.Dave didn't work on it, but a few Blue Planet stuff were used so he gets some sort of credit in the cuesheet for "A Celebration".Who did Zimmer do this with? Shea and Fleming?May Mr. Zimmer and his team be interested on “extracting” music from the human body for medical purposes?<br>You can reach me at:<br>jcp77452 at um.es<br>ThanksNot only is the album fun as a concept album, it's a surprisingly good score to picture. The themes are really clear for each of the characters and the music really fits the action. Even though the action is kind of corny. Real underrated gem. <br><br>I finally watched the film and even though it's a sort of 5 or 6 out of 10 average/okay movie, it reminded me just how much personality gets injected when Hans Zimmer does the score. He really has a strong voice.
Yeah this is a pretty fair assessment.<br><br>While I’ve found myself liking it less and less now that we’re hearing things like ME or Alita from Tom there are still some excellent tracks throughout. <br>(The Dark Tower, Collateral Damage, Guardian, It Will Fall, Roland of Eld)<br><br>My biggest gripe is with the purely sound design cues. They honestly go nowhere and end up padding the album out. What this score needed was a solid villain motif and some more orchestral underscore. It’s like one-half of the score is the more traditional side of Holkenborg whereas the rest falls into his early habit of just making noise.I give it a listen after three years, and i still like it.<br><br>If isn't as good as Mortal Engines or Alita, have a interesting aspects to enjoy: his main theme for Roland, some of the action cues are strong, even the dramatic ones (The Creed or Collateral Damage), some of the sound design are interesting.<br><br>Maybe the weakest aspect of the album, is the middle, some tracks are not that interesting to listen.woooooow <3From the "No Time to Die" podcast description...<br><br>"You can also be the first to hear exclusive score from Hans Zimmer and brand new recordings from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from Bond 25 brought to you from Decca Records."<br><br>First of six episodes is released on Wednesday 30th September!!that would be great

FYI...

The track in the credits with the heavy drums and guitars is by A Perfect Circle - "Count Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm of the War Drums"

Harry Gregson-Williams' scores never cease to amaze me :)

I'm liking this one too. Not too good but the electronics and synths develop a nice, suspenseful atmosphere which I think is suitable for the movie.

The score reminds me too much to Men on Fire and Deju Vu... nothing new and just a temp score... :(

That is simply because the studio licenses source pieces into the movie... at a price.
If they then want to use that same licensed piece on a soundtrack
thats gonna cost the studio even more money & that's why you don't usually get these pieces on soundtracks.... unless the deal done includes a soundtrack release too.

Just saw Pelham 123...nice score but I was blown away by the end creds music....percussion and super guitar track....is it Peter Destefano??? I see he has creds listed fr Pelham 123 on his MySpace page. I want to hear this track again....how can I find it and how do I get it?
If record producers would actually reproduce and market what songs we hear in the movie, the record buying public would be much happier. I cannot tell you the number of soundtracks I have purchased and the songs are NOT the ones in the movie. RIP OFF!

AWESOME!!! Job well done...great score!

Man I hope this better than the Wolverine score. Seeing how this is a semi techno-thriller. I hope Harry goes back to the awesomeness of Enemy of The State and Spy Game.

Now up on I-Tunes UK, so there is a digital release too.

They don't sell well because they don't market them well. The only way we can find out about scores is through forums like this...that not many people know about. Half the time stores don't even carry them until well after their official release date. Perhaps if studios paid to have them advertised in sale adds they might do better. There are plenty of people out there who want these scores, they just need to make it easier for us to find them!!!!

I have a pressed CD of the Spirit... It's a Silva Screen pressing, it was even in Dutch stores for a very low price...

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-07 00:00:00
Adrian...
How did you obtain it??? Is there a way we can order it here in the states??? Thanks!

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-07 00:00:00
Adriaan is right...

Amazon first sold The Spirit as CD-R, before Silva Screen released a proper pressed CD... :)

DemonStar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-06-06 00:00:00
If it's anything like Spy Game then it'll be great! Eagerly waiting.
