This is a beautiful score by the way. I have feeling this will get lost with NTTD, Dune, and WW84 coming out, but people should give this a listen. The new overture is a nice remix of the main PEII theme. And I "Surfing Dolphins" is yet again a winner.Dave didn't work on it, but a few Blue Planet stuff were used so he gets some sort of credit in the cuesheet for "A Celebration".Who did Zimmer do this with? Shea and Fleming?May Mr. Zimmer and his team be interested on “extracting” music from the human body for medical purposes?<br>You can reach me at:<br>jcp77452 at um.es<br>ThanksNot only is the album fun as a concept album, it's a surprisingly good score to picture. The themes are really clear for each of the characters and the music really fits the action. Even though the action is kind of corny. Real underrated gem. <br><br>I finally watched the film and even though it's a sort of 5 or 6 out of 10 average/okay movie, it reminded me just how much personality gets injected when Hans Zimmer does the score. He really has a strong voice.
Yeah this is a pretty fair assessment.<br><br>While I’ve found myself liking it less and less now that we’re hearing things like ME or Alita from Tom there are still some excellent tracks throughout. <br>(The Dark Tower, Collateral Damage, Guardian, It Will Fall, Roland of Eld)<br><br>My biggest gripe is with the purely sound design cues. They honestly go nowhere and end up padding the album out. What this score needed was a solid villain motif and some more orchestral underscore. It’s like one-half of the score is the more traditional side of Holkenborg whereas the rest falls into his early habit of just making noise.I give it a listen after three years, and i still like it.<br><br>If isn't as good as Mortal Engines or Alita, have a interesting aspects to enjoy: his main theme for Roland, some of the action cues are strong, even the dramatic ones (The Creed or Collateral Damage), some of the sound design are interesting.<br><br>Maybe the weakest aspect of the album, is the middle, some tracks are not that interesting to listen.woooooow <3From the "No Time to Die" podcast description...<br><br>"You can also be the first to hear exclusive score from Hans Zimmer and brand new recordings from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from Bond 25 brought to you from Decca Records."<br><br>First of six episodes is released on Wednesday 30th September!!that would be great
@GR7 that sounds really cool care to share?Hi! What's the story with track "Into Space"? They really copy track "Planet Descent" and name it that "Into Space"?I agree guys. Yhis album and parts of the experiments are vey enjoyable. I tend to listen to OST prriodically, and each year there is one or severall scores that replace what I listen the most, and so on... but Dark phoenix is one I can listen every time. <br>I made personal suites assembling music from the OST and mixing it with expremients, and it results in a 50 min suites album, I really like it.Same for me. I'm so happy ! :DA Celebration? It's actually on youtube now.

I agree too. Transformers 2 needs a complete film score... not to mention the recording sessions.

@Dawn

No, not the shitty one that is out there now. The guy who is making it made an expanded release of Inception, and it's SFX free. So before you go assuming things, think before you type.

Any ideas on who...?

@SPF Studios,

Yes, but I don't want to say. IF and when it happens, I will post here that there is one out there

"I hear someone is working on a complete of this"
Somebody working on a complete score ? You mean, a complete dvd-rip with load of SFX and explosions, where you have to struggle to listen to small bits of undermixed music ? That's so great, I can't wait!!!

Yeah, this is irony ! =)
People have so much time to waste...

I hear someone is working on a complete of this

Thanks bud, glad you agree with me. Let's discuss this over EMAIL since that's what we do

Takehiro reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-25 00:00:00
I think its a bad idea not to have email addresses, or a private messaging function. The site could do with an overhaul in that respect. Its a lot better than having conversations on here, which end up taking away from the "leave comments about the score" idea, which is really what this is for.

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-25 00:00:00
Hybrid I got the message the first time. It's easier for me to exchange an Email address this way I can somewhat 'converse' more easily, like I have with so many other people from this board. It's a little more private, and on top of that, it's kind of annoying when people have full-blown conversations on here, post after post after post. I'm sure you understand. I wasn't doing anything wrong. But I will not longer do that, since you asked.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-24 00:00:00
Dakota, please, stop requesting and posting your email... This is not a supermarket ! :S

@Dakota

Just FYI - This is my favorite cue, too. That is why I made a cover version of it. You'll find the music here at the cover versions section - Transformers - Optimus Prime enters Shanghai.

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-23 00:00:00
Those are some great unreleased cues, but there is a ton of other good stuff missing. Of the three you mentioned, I think Optimus dropping out the back of the C-17 is my favorite

Hale reply Replies: 0 || 2011-03-23 00:00:00
Unfortunately, it's an unreleased cue, which is an arrangement of "Arrival to Earth". Probably it's not an arrangement from Jablonsky but from Balfe or another additional composer.

There is another great cue is missing, the landing of Optimus in Shangai at the beginning of the movie.

The third "great" missing-cue is the underscore part when Jetfire speaks to the heroes of the war of the Prime when they arrive in the desert.

PS-sorry for my bad english

'Signs 2' from the Magic Box website seems to make up a large portion of 'Einstein's Wrong'...
In that case, did Gire and Sponsler contribute to 'Einstein's Wrong' or is Signs 2 just their own arrangement of it?

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-23 00:00:00
Ok, thanks guys =)

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-23 00:00:00
SB, that shows exactly what Additional Arrangements means... Signs is the arrangement based on Einstein's Wrong...

So, even if the cue is credited to Gire/Sponsler, is remains mainly Jablonsky... Same for HZ scores... ;)

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-22 00:00:00
I hope it's bigger too. But there's STILL no Complete Score for this! WTF?!

Dakota reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-22 00:00:00
Hybrid,

When you get a chance, could you please list who did what here? And on the first film also. Please, I love the Transformers scores. Thanks =)

Bondo reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-22 00:00:00
@ Dakota:

I believe Lorne Balfe composed "The Shard" and "The Fallen's Arrival" (with Zimmer), but I'm not sure about the rest of the score. Much of Transformers 1 sounds like The Dark Knight, leading me to believe a large chunk of that score was by Balfe as well. I know this is vague info, but I hope this helps!

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-22 00:00:00
The first half of NEST is arranged by Ryeland Allison.

The Fallen's Arrival is partly Hans Zimmer / Lorne Balfe...

And yeah The Shard has Lorne Balfe too...

Apparently all the reste is Jablonsky, he mainly put his own cues on the OST, leaving most of Lorne's and all of Gire/Sponsler, Allison & Margeson out... :)
