Yes! Finally someone else who has heard it to! I am a HUGE fan of both trilogy's, do you like POTC?R.I.P. to Ennio Morricone, dead at 91.

For those who aren’t as familiar with his material, check out Once Upon a Time in the West, easily one of the greatest scores of the past century. You can definitely hear where Zimmer took inspiration from, for Pirates/Lone Ranger/Sherlock/Rango/etc.

“Parlay” is such a love letter to the main tune from‘s unreleased...@hybrid soldier
Where can i hear the songs you have listed out? I can't find it on YouTubeLooks like Zimmer's abandoned Z+. It only worked on one iOS system, then because it wasn't recompiled for the next system wouldn't decode the music you paid for. Locking your purchases into an app was a VERY BAD idea. Now there's nothing out there that's as good at providing a great surround sound experience for headphones.
So Lorne's mp3 uploads. Would anyone class that as an 'official' release of the music from the movie?Currently watching this movie the first time ^^ ... and then... suddenly a music motive spontaneously pops up. Sound exactly like a little part from Armageddon "Secondary Protocol" - really cool :) love the music in this movie. Very intense.I don't mean to pile on but do you really think that Hans touring is the only obstacle to a CD release of a completely forgotten 12-year-old film and score by a different composer?And why would Hans' tours be responsible for the fact that many albums these days don't get a physical release? While at the same time those tours even got an LP release... lolYou are aware that there's a pandemic going on right now, right?
I'm pretty sure that neither did he.I know Geoff does fantasy films and he is good at that, but I didn't want this.Lovely score by Atli, but also a bit typical for this kind of movie. This suite is all you need from this score. The songs are really great. Especially Double Trouble, Husavik and Running With The Wolves (i wish this song would be longer). Very nice movie and with a great soundtrack.Please tell me. When time come to Moscow.Wtf is up with that Time remix with Alan Walker?
@ Michael Hayko
cause yeah, there really is a market for a physical CD of a mediocre score of a film that everybody has forgotten even exists........said no one everOkay Zimmer it's time to get back to producing physical CDs and put your live performances on hold. You can start by producing 'Deception' it's such an amazing score! Okay you've had your fun pretending to be a rockstar now let's get back to the business of film music please!Top news :

nd-dune-lion-king-ascap-awards-1234646855/i did not realize i put shit instead of shine lmaoooo fml I'm out of here lol

The music in mowie depend not only from composer but from director and producer.
Bruckheimer and Hideo Kojima are very good producers, under their control composers make cool music.
Deja Vu score is very fine.

Hey are all of you forgett about Palem 1 2 3 ?

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-03 00:00:00
I believe it's The Taking of Pelham 123, and no, I haven't forgotten about it. I just can't say for sure whether it will be another heavily electronic-based score or not.

Cooper reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-03 00:00:00
Harry Gregson Williams has his own cool style of music.
But this score is a realy boring and the Gekko theme is the best action theme in the whole world of scores.When I get this score I think the he would be somthing like in MGS 4 but its absolutly different.

HGW composed a lot of worthy scores in his career. Every composer can count in a few bad score. Even Williams, Goldsmith had some albums that got 1 or 2 stars from a lot of reviewers.
By the way this is a solid 3/5 album IMHO.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-03 00:00:00
I just saw the movie. While the score is admittedly not on the same level as John Powell's for The Last Stand, I feel that it stands as a perfectly adequate effort. I'm sure HGW will hopefully surpass it with Prince of Persia...can't wait!

Why would we consider doing that just because you say it, Borja? And FYI: why can't you mAnipulate scores ? If it sounds good, why not? I do not see a reason why ALL scores should be 100% orchestral.
And you'd be amazed how much electronics all other composers use.

And now back on-topic:
To be honest: the score was better than expected.
Good job Harry, keep scores like this coming :)

This is a site for people who like Remote Control music. If you don't like it, then get off the damn comment board.

Borja reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-03 00:00:00
Seriously guys if ye want great scores check out composers like John Williams or Jerry Goldsmith,hell check out Brian Tyler or David Arnold...not these remote control clones.Harry Gregson-Williams is an awful composer who just sounds like Hans Zimmer

Cooper reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-02 00:00:00
I rate this score 3 of 5.
And I am shore that the music of Prince Of Persia will be cool because its Bruckheimer.
In Bruckheimer mowies music is always cool and maybe fresh.

bad boring score

one of HGW his worst works.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-01 00:00:00
Well, what do you think the score should have sounded like?

Flame reply Replies: 0 || 2009-05-01 00:00:00
In the credits there is a listing of a song which i think is the one that plays with the credits. I know it's "(something) of shadows" could anyone help me out please?

On a certain board (which I cannot name here) the majority of the people say this score is crap. Well they are right.

This score sounds more like music from some generic bad videogame instead of a cool blockbuster. HGW has shown in the past he can do so much better.

One tips for peope desperatly wanting to buy this: TRY BEFORE YOU BUY! Chances are high you will be very disappointed!

Harry Gregson-Williams,

Hey mate, if you can read this.

You did an outstanding job on the Kingdom of Heaven score.

I just wanted you to know, I highly respect your talent.

Ruthlessgravity reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-30 00:00:00
The score is alright, nothing new. I respect HGW but this sounded a bit too much of recycled electronic samples. Like on track 4, this is practically the same track as "Gonzalez" from Man on Fire. Sure the music isn't new but yet its alright to listen too.

Meridius reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-30 00:00:00
The only possitive of this score is a very good main theme, that's all. As being said, this is not a score for blockbuster movie. I hope HGW's Prince of Persia won't be so dissapointing.

DemonStar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-30 00:00:00
I'm afraid I'm not at all impressed by this thing. Parts of the score are listenable but they're just a rehash of the Narnia and KOH music, nothing attractive. The rest of the score is just filled with electronics and synths rattling without any melody, and the brief brass/choir motif is all that appealed to me somewhat. No offense to anyone who liked this score, but in my humble opinion this is a poor effort. I'm disappointed by HGW and hope he'll do better for Prince of Persia.

jll-003 reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-29 00:00:00
i don't say that it is a bad score for me it doesn't reach my expectation. when you hear the socre of x3 or batman begins or the dark knght there's really something which all the superheroes score should have it's something epic. For me and it is only my opinion this score doesn't have it.

Kristi reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-29 00:00:00
Well I thought the first two scores were terrible...and I do like John Powell (don't get me wrong). I am still very excited about this score, even though you may not like it does not mean it is a bad score. HGW is one of the best composers out there, and I will always give him the benefit of the doubt!

jll-003 reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-29 00:00:00
i downloaded it (legally) and it is very disapointing it's far from the previous score and there is no interestic theme (there's not from my point of view one theme)

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-29 00:00:00
If you look on the internet, you can find it.

This score is complete generic crap.

I wished Powell composed it. At least he could create powerfull and emotional action music.

This is just bland boring generic music. It would better fit for a bad video game. Not an AAA blockbuster movie...

Kristi reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-28 00:00:00
Why did they push the release date for this soundtrack from today (4-48-09) to May 5th???? I am so irritated right now!!!! I have been waiting for this soundtrack for a long time!!!!!

Been trying to find the music from sunshine that's on the wolvie trailer, never found anything except "that music was from sunshine"... well, i finally found it. The trailer music from Sunshine is track 19 from Sunshine called "The Surface Of The Sun" - if anyone wants to know.

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2009-04-23 00:00:00
Not exactly, there are two tracks which can be used:
"Kanada's Death, Pt. 2 (Adagio in D Minor)" (John Murphy) – 2:58
"Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor)" (John Murphy) – 4:27
the one you found, on youtube (i think), has SFX and low quality.
the score has been released officially on itunes on september 10, 2008.

i think they used the second one.
if you want the source, type in google: ''sunshine john murphy wiki''

why arent internet links not allowed here btw?
