Vinyl only...How dumb can you getLol, youíre right! I though that was Rambo III climbing the cliffs for a moment.LLL made MI 1 Complete. So they are trying to make MI 2 Complete. That could move Varese to make MI 3 Complete. But studio (Disney) don't want it.Use the Wayback Machine on Archive.org - it's all there! :)@Zimson<br>404 not found dude
Why would a studio allow a vinyl release but no CD or digital release? That's utter nonsense. Almost like they're refusing to make money.Any clue on where to find this Complete Score?.. and people wonder why there's "bootlegs" out there...Next time, we can expect a wax cylinder release... :(@Jerry<br><br>At the Film Score Monthly message board, MV said that La La Land has been trying to release this one for years but got shot down by the studio. So sadly, a CD release won't happen for now
No.Any chance of a CD or Digital release?Yes, is coming this Friday, confirmed by TomI really like this score performed by tom holkenborg of the netflix series "White Lines" and my favorite track is "Infinity" which it was awsome and great dance music i ever heard.<br><br>Btw are any news from the Scoob! Original score by tom holkenborg coming out this friday, right?Time to buy a record player guys!<br><br>Honestly couldn't be more happy about this.
yes yes yes!!! the best MI Score :) can't wait!If I saw that cover art without the title text, the MI franchise would have been about the last thing that'd cross my mind. >_<Thanks to the way certain cues have to correspond to their album titles instead, it's hard to tell currently if this actually has everything from the film. Doesn't help that certain album suites are most certainly not here, and there's likely alt mixes that could've been included. We'll just have to see.<br><br>I get the feeling the reason this is LP only for now is due to Disney (who own Hollywood Records) being allowed to fully oversee this specific release. Any digital and CD re-releases are probably in legal lingo with Paramount, hence why the OST isn't available for streaming currently.Why only expanded?<br><br>The product page says:<br>"Mondo Music, in conjunction with Hollywood Records, are proud to present the premiere vinyl pressing of Hans Zimmerís complete score to MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2."<br><br>So, it's the complete score... isn't it?So useless really, yeah... :(

2 marvelous albums in 7 years - that's a bit low for a guy like Hans

To "No name"...what are these 2 Album in 7 years?!!!

I Love You Hans reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-06 00:00:00
no name, what a hell are you talking about? Hans has made 125 amazing albums in 19 years that's unbelievable, when John Williams made 132 albums in 57 years the man they say better than Hans :)

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-06 00:00:00
Hans has stated that he's going to be in semi-retirement for a while and focus more on score producing and stuff like that, alhough he will compose every now and again.

DemonStar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-05 00:00:00
You cannot put the music of Ben Hur or Spartacus in a film like Angels & Demons. Hans gave the film what it needed and it works very well there and is also a good listening experience on CD.

And FYI I listen to a wide variety of scores from Bernard Herrmann and Jerry Goldsmith to most Remote Control scores and I still say Hans is one of the best modern film composers.

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-05 00:00:00
Absolutely agree with DemonStar...

@ V.M.

yeah, elfman's planet of the apes was good, but no masterpiece. unless you are referring to the original, which, is pretty good, but is no masterpiece either.

robert langdon reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-05 00:00:00
also @ no name, you say zimmer either hasnt done any good, or that he's done some hard work and masterpieces, make up your mind.. O_o

robert langdon reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-04 00:00:00
@ no name - if theres no albums that can compare to crimson tide, then how do you explain the masterpieces that are the dark knight, batman begins, the da vinci code, angels and demons,kung fu panda,and black hawk down?

I don't understand how "Angels & Demons" can be rated 8/10... It's an "effect music", not a score with an identity. Somethimes I think film music will die soon... if people enjoy these mediocre works. History gave us masterpieces like "Gone With The Wind", "pLanet Of The Apes", "Ben Hur", "Spartacus", "Star Wars", "Back To The Future" etc... where the hell is a piece in this score can be rated more than 2/10??? I'm very sad to read these positive comments about a so poor music.

V.M. you need to shut the fuck up.

As I Think, here there isn't people who know film music, but only Hans Zimmer's Fake Film Music. Bye bye.

Deakins reply Replies: 0 || 2009-07-03 00:00:00
Because I think Hans prefers to work with a team in a relation of exchange of ideas.
However, you can see this method is good.
When you listen Jablonsky' compositions or each other, these men compose to extend the process that Hans has engaged in twenty years.

Hans isn't only a composer. He's a producer, score arranger, creator of new sounds.
If John Williams is also good, he didn't create several styles like Hans.

Recent album that could compare with Crimson Tide. There is none. All we get are sequels or albums like Holiday - one theme by Hans and additional music. Why John Williams can write and conduct entire album by himself and Hans can't? Why employing others? They can manage on their own. If not - not everyone can be composer. There are many kind of jobs they can do.

Hans Zimmer, Clint Mansell, and Klaus Badelt are absolutely stunning composers. My top three favourites of all time; even topping the great Beethoven [he got knocked down to fourth- ha].

Hans Zimmer is the best composer of all time. I love the music for Angels and Demons, and I also loved his music for the Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm in love with his music.

Not any more - name album that compares with Crimson Tide or even Black Hawk Down. You can't.

PS. James Newton Howard rules!
