(James Newton Howard)<br>TIME TO COME HOMEMaybe the reuse of MW 2 is not Lorne's choice after all. Maybe the movie was temptracked with it, before scored, and the director got attached to it. So Lorne had either to "imitate" it or just use the same cues, since they were his. <br><br>This is just a speculation I made, since this happens quite often. I remember the Elfman - Raimi conflict about the train sequence in Spiderman 2, where Raimi asked Elfman to "copy" a cue from Hellraiser.Guys are you serious ? Iím currently reading comments about how Modern Warfare 2 is in the score. In Bad Boys for Life you can heard firstly : The Rock, Speed, Bad Boys, ... MW2 is just a reharsch of these score instead with some Black Hawk Down soundscape. Have you heard any MV score post 2005? &#128517;As much as I think that the choice of movie Powell makes, which up till now have created amazing scores, I do wish we'd get more than 1 score of his every year. Even if the quality is like Solo or The Hidden WorldI actually don't know which I prefer. I guess nostalgia might be clouding my judgement, since the album version was the one used on the DVD menu. Both are still pretty good, nonetheless.
Yeah no contest IMO, it's much more dynamic and more "Powell-y" compared to that Superman-style rhythm he uses in the album version and elsewhere in the score. Must have been a hasty last-minute redo or something to not show up on the album.The films Powell is currently choosing allow him to write much more interesting music than your average Marvel movie... ;)<br><br>Excited for Call of the Wild in a few weeks.Does anyone know what the correct chronological tracklist for this would be?Honestly, i think i will be that few people who likes Lights Out. But his best horror score is A Cure for WellnessThatís a cool choice, Iím hoping for something more like ďItĒ and less like ďLightís OutĒ.
Wallfisch has compose the score for The Invisible Man, another horror score for the best guy today for the jobPowell has his personal reasons, but I sincerely hope he comes around to do another superhero score again, especially for MARVEL since his style isnít fit for the likes of DC as of now.I like the film version of Bathroom Titles better.LOL!<br><br>He has had some experience with animated projects, Iím interested to hear him do more diverse projects like that.I will never understand when people can't stand people opinions and 'attack' them.<br><br>If some loves Trent Reznor (i hate the guy's music), is his opinion and i no one to say nothing about it.
Bring on the remixes!LOL!!! You have no idea about film music<br>====================<br><br><br>It's his opinion, my friend.<br><br>And his opinion is equally as valid as the opinion of someone who thinks this score is the worst crap ever. Why? Because when it comes to appreciating art (movies, books, music...) it is all completely subjective. <br><br>I always use this example: I have two friends - educated, family men - who have seen The Godfather. One of them thinks it's one of the greatest movies ever, while the other one barely finished watching it. <br><br>At the end of the day, just because a group of people (film critics, film buffs, etc) proclaim that something is "good" or "bad" doesn't mean that it's automatically a holy statement that everyone should agree with. <br><br>We are all different :)<br><br>Cheers!Judging by the clips of this movie, it will be a good choice.<br><br>I can't wait for this one, after seeing those clipsAccording to Film Music Reporter, Tom is also scoring Scoob!MMichaels LOL!!! You have no idea about film music

Ok...thanks Adrian, even if I haven't understood when you say: "they would have infos the minute they are infos"

Thn I've a question for you: the music that we can hear in the SH's trailer, is that Hans Zimmer's music?

Adrian reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-31 00:00:00
Don't excuse yourself, you're right... This site should go official, then they would have infos the minute they are infos :P

We do know the Sherlock Holmes score will be released by New Line Records (it was in a promotional ad of the label) but no other news at this point. I'm pretty sure it'll get a good release, it's a Hans Zimmer score and a Warner Bros. film!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-31 00:00:00
Yes Adrian I know, but I think that the Webmasters should know much more about HZ new projects!
I've read on anther website that James Horner has released an interview about his new CD Avatar...great news! But we don't know anything about SH! Excuse me but I think this...
Regards Enrico...

@ Enrico,

Well, without any information, official or non-official, no one can write about it!

@ Miles..

seriously? I guess i'll just have to sing those madeup lyrics I have...lol

martine moscovitz reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-22 00:00:00
hello,
I just want to thank you Mr Zimmer for your fabulous music..
Especially this extraordinary solo violin at the end of the movie.
I felt already a great emotion with the orchestration during the first movie da vinci code and there I found it again but with the violin by josha bell and this feeling was so strong that I had tears. Thank you for this beautiful work.

Miles reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-22 00:00:00
In the the "Angels, Demons, & Men in Skirts" interview, Zimmer said that the lyrics for "160 BPM" are just made-up vocalizations to suit the needs of the music.

Not that I'm complaining; it's an awesome track on an awesome album...

160 BPM (Beats Per Minute)

fan reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-21 00:00:00
160 BPM is like Red Bull. Rest is a bit dissapointing (how could he end 503 in that moment?!?) but very listenable.
I'm giving 4/5 and hoping that Inception and Sherlock will rock.

carl reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-04 00:00:00
zimmer, YOU ROCK

really love your music. . . Angels&Demons was the best of the best. Hope you score the "Lost Symbol" movie, if they adapt the book to the screen.

but this score will always be your best

"making expanded score"... what does it mean ? Ripping DVD tracks ?

If it is the case, please come on ! Wait for a proper SFX-free version, even if it's a longer wait ! And do not waste your time making a CD with horrible sound quality, including gun sounds, people screaming, tires screeching etc... It really isn't qualitative.

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2009-09-11 00:00:00
ok, Daw, i already did the expanded score, i gave my best, i think its really good!!

but i think that, like 'the da vinci code', 'angels and demons' won't have the expanded score!!!

Enrico reply Replies: 0 || 2009-09-11 00:00:00
Ehi guys I've a question for you...I've red on Wikipedia that Hans Zimmer attended the Hurtwood House in UK...but please, read here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurtwood_House

Expecially this one:

"Hurtwood is renowned for having outstanding theatre and media departments, and at around £10,000 per term, is the most expensive school in the UK."

My question is: how did Hans to atend the most expansive school in England?!!! I've no idea!!! Was Hans rich when he was young? I don't know...
However great Hans!!!

ELe reply Replies: 0 || 2009-09-10 00:00:00
Can't wait for expanded score. Although Arrival of Electors sound like Kingdom Of Heaven, its still cool track. Like many many others unreleased in Angels & Demons

oli reply Replies: 0 || 2009-09-10 00:00:00
luiszimmer: it's a really nice that you doing an expanded score!
The Arrival of teh Electors is a really really good track. It should be on the "Normal" score too! I love that song! ;)

luiszimmer reply Replies: 0 || 2009-09-07 00:00:00
I'm doing the expanded score.
It's a piece of work....
i already did these tracks:

01. Main Titles - The Empty Throne (03:52)
02. Antimatter - The Eye (04:53)
03. A Proposal to Langdon (03:59)
04. The Arrival of the Electors (01:05)
