What about his last cover of "Wicked Games"? What a great surprise! Actually, all the themes are being updated every week. Ramin's stealing the show again!Greetings! I have a question regarding the placement of certain cues. Here, "Mycroft Is Nude" is placed where it plays in the film. However, on the sheets, it's shown as being after "Paris Bombing Investigation." Was the scene originally supposed to be later in the film? I'd be curious to know.just beautifulThis is a whole new side of his music as compared to what we normally hear.Black Widow has been moved to Nov. 6th, so we'll het Balfe's sckre at the end of the year.

Mulan has been moved to July 24th.

This is a highly underrated album. It's nothing short of a masterpiece, a modern opera. The choir is beautiful, and the choice of gospel for the first track gives it a unique identity, though I'm not sure how well it meshes with the orchestra. It feels a bit off, but will hopefully improve for me on further listens.

The composition, has to me, elevated Powell to the status of the second best living composer (Williams is still first for now). It's pure orchestral beauty and mastery with variety of texture, color, and style, with seamless tonal transitions. The complexity rivals some of the great works of the past.

It's strange to me that this is called "choral works". Sure the choir is an important element, but it really should be named "Hubris Symphony", or "Hubris: The Opera", because that's the status the album deserves. My Attempt at a chronological order with edits (feel free to correct any mistakes or if I missed anything)

1. Change Of Plan (Unused) (5:47)Rogue One is a bit of an odd one. From what I'd heard, Desplat had joined on the condition he'd be allowed to do his own thing and not ape Williams. But once they decided to overhaul the film, they pressured him to go that exact direction. Things stayed still for a while (in which he still got paid) before he was finally let go very late into production. So the idea he sorta just left is interesting, so I'm curious to hear what that was about.

For BW, it seems very likely to me that Marvel simply were unsure about Alexandre's music, so I'm guessing they hired Balfe to do some demos and decided from there. Who knows what the exact timeline is, but I'd wager it'd have to at least be this year if he's been on it a bit. Especially with AD's name having stayed on the posters during it.Hybrid, Desplat left Rogue One just for his own idea? I know he left that movie beacuse schedule conflict for the reshoots.
But for Black Widow seems that the replacement was since months ago with Lorne writing and recording the score at the same timeht tp:// filmmusicreporter. com/2020/04/01/ track-list-for-disneys-live-action-mulan -soundtrack-album-revealed/

Why release a tracklist for an album that won't be released for another 6 months at least. That's just a punch in the gut, in my opinion
So it won't be a last minute and hasty job?No idea but he was on it for a bit, I think.Hybrid, do you know how long Lorne had to score?Score is recorded already.Yup, which makes me wonder if they had to wait before announcing it, considering Desplat was still being listed in posters prior to the delay.

When I started wathing this movie and I heard music, my first two words was: Hans Zimmer. This music is 60% of succces of this movie and this is my favourite movie.
And I wish to say that Hans Zimmer is the greatest of the greatest movie's composers of current world.

Action packed into a box! The music gives a powerful motivation to the movie which probably made "--The Rock"-- one of my favorite movies.

Good job once again Zimmie!

Where can I get my hands on the sheet music for the main theme? It is something I feel the members of my band need to learn and would love to play. If it's not available yet...it needs to be!

Ryan - If the arrangement you want is for Concert Band, I know that a very good one exists but unfortunately the Band I play with does not have until now. I have heard it once it is a very good arrengment. The beginnig is the same as it is in the soundtrack and it immediately captures the audience's immagination &-- attention. It is in the form of suite. I would like to have it as much as you want!

The Rock is one of those soundtracks I keep on listening to. The beginnig is just simply amazing. You here it once and the melody just stucks to your head and everwhere you go you keep on whislting it. This soundtrack had been a source of inspiration to many other Media Venture scores like The Man in the Iron Mask by Nick Glennie-Smith and even extracts from The Rock are recognisable in Badelt's Pirates of the Caribbean. THE ROCK rocks the place. This music gives the movie the unique distinct character it have like Crimson Tide. I get goosebumps whenever Hummell gets the Rockets begins and from than onwards its just a unique journey through music. I would like to see more Media Venture Collaborations like this one since so many ideas are put in one project, and these projects are rich in every part: melodies, orchesrations, production and even originality. This score is 10 years old now but still stays as one of the most favourites scores. A *****(5) out *****(5) star. Keep on rocking --)

it would be better if you give more of extracts...'cause if we like a song more than other, it would be fine to listen it...

"--The same tune is played continusly but in slightly different ways."-- ... congratulations, you've discovered the main theme :D

The guy reply Replies: 0 || 2005-07-24 00:00:00
Most of this is good, but it is very repetitive. The same tune is played continusly but in slightly different ways. In the "--Chase"-- it goes over the top.
