I don't think everybody thinks it's bad you just have to look at the development of the franchise. In the first pirates we got very nice melodys and tunes that are still legendary and so they set the tune for all the other pirates movies. In the second one we got a much darker yet very good developed score that has again new themes for new characters but uses themes from the first one as well. Then the third movie came along and everybody can think about the film what he wants but the music... man the music from the third one is really the cherry on the top of the entire franchise cause here we got all themes in new majestic versions plus one of the most beautyful love themes ever. So now you would think "Ok, I guess by judging by the development, the next one will be at least as great as the last one" but instead of this case we just got old themes in flat versions and the music is not bad but it just has not this kind of drive like the others. For sure if this score would have been the first one, the crowd would have reacted differently but hey, the movie wasn't that good as well so I guess it all equals out :DBecause they mixed several passages of past scores into scenes completely disconnected from those for which the music was composed at first. There is a chase scene with the music for the maelstrom. The love theme for Will and Elisabeth comes up without either of them being in the movie or in scenes that nerver mention their names. The same with the theme for Beckett. And half of the commercial CD was remixes of DJsCan I ask why everybody is so negative about this score.
I actually really love it. New themes for Spaniard, Mermaids and Blackbeard are good.
Okay, Hans re-used stuff from the previous 3 but it's still a great score.

Why does everybody else think it's bad? Would somebody please explain this to meWell said. Itís not a terrible score by any means, but the lack of continuity is incredibly disappointing. There were so many times in the movie that practically screamed for Hansí themes. The only point I heard one was the Krypton theme for (maybe) 15 seconds and that was just an insert from a previous film. Iíd love to do a fan project once the movie is released and insert music from Man of Steel/BvS and see how it changes the feel of this film.YFM, your work is awesome. Long time lurk-listener. Looking forward to this,
Bah leave me alone, I still need a few years to overcome the fall of House DC... What a horrible movie that JL was, I can't get over it... lolIf you love these peoplegeneral zod : )After listening to this score a few times, I am starting to enjoy it. It's not fantastic, but it's not absolutely horrible, either. While I am very disappointed that Zimmer didn't score the film, and that Elfman didn't preserve the series' music continuity very well, I feel the score does hold up fairly well on its own. It introduces some nice motifs, and honestly, hearing the old Batman theme again is awesome, especially in tracks like "Then There Were Three" and "The Final Battle". Some may think it's out of place, but I feel it fits this iteration of the character. But then, Elfman gets lazy with some of the tracks. The opening of "The Amazon Mother Box" sounds like Elfman's theme for "Hulk", while the motif for the Justice League team is very reminiscent of the Avengers theme motif.

On the other hand, hearing the original Superman theme feels a bit odd - I love that theme, but the joyousness that Williams put into it doesn't fit this version of the character. Zimmer's amazing theme means so much in this series, and Elfman didn't reprise it once. Elfman did briefly reprise a trumpet rendition of Wonder Woman's theme, which was nice, but I personally expected to hear it a little more. And it made me even more confused as to why he didn't reprise other themes.

Personally I don't think Elfman was the best choice to score the film, but I don't think he did a horrible job. I would've loved to have heard Zimmer's score, considering the amazing work he's done for the series. Hopefully in the future, the themes he composed will be reprised more.Instant (corrector problems)
For one intance I really thought it was lorne balfe disguisedI really hope we get the FYC! The score needs to be heard in full

Great work btw!the fyc is comming soon ;-)
maybe we get the "film version"The above "Anonymous" is just me. I forgot to type the name.LOL@George, Lorne has been retweeting all the SkyDance's tweets on Mission Impossible movies. And they never really announced that Kraemer is returning to compose MI:6. Everybody just assumed he would. So, I'm pretty sure Lorne's doing it. I could be wrong, though.
I'm working on my own version of "The Mole", "Escaping The Mole", or whatever the long warped/over music edited tension cue is named.

nightly demos will be posted every day until I finish it, but it sounds fine now if you "must have" it.

soundcloud.com/yourfavoratemusic/hans-zimmer-dunkirk-escapin g-the-mole-nightly-demoExcept that Zimmer's "happy jolly" comment was completely off the mark. That's now how I'd describe the tone of Elfman's Batman theme at all. It's brooding and dark, but in more of an old-school Gothic orchestral kind of way that still allowed for some bursts of heroism. I still maintain the theme itself could have worked in Nolan's films, albeit with substantially changed orchestrations and tone (and doesn't Zimmer kinda-sorta quote it at 7:18 in "A Dark Knight" anyways?).I do not know ... MI6 is a "Bad Robot" production, JJ Abrams's company. They often work with Kraemer, Trapanese, Beck... But isn't impossible.Hybrid's silence can mean something. Thanks!John Powell is doing open messaging on Facebook for another hour or so. (He had to clarify - send him a message on his page, don't comment on his post. And no, he can't say a word about Han Solo....I already asked a general question. No surprise. :P)

Hybrid Soldier2011-10-19 12:11:56
And so your first reflex is to come here to post a tracklist ?

Next time, don't... :S

And this is very old news... For me anyway...

Anonymous2011-10-19 16:20:40
uuuuh yeah for you. you're soooo cool. -.-

I've posted the tracklist, so everyone can see it. why not? everyone should know that there is a 48 track score out there and not only the one with 14 tracks.

Anonymous2011-10-21 06:16:56
Hybrid i don't understand your comment. So if anyone else comes here and put a tracklist for you is nothing, but when you, in the past, posted a tracklist you look that everyone here in the forum says "Thanks Great Hybrid, You Are A God In This. And by the way, i don't know, even the websmasters of this page never wrote this, you write here and there that you have "many connections" and ultimately "work in some way with the remote control team". So, if for you it's an old new this tracklist, just don't write anything and let the fans of this comes here and write something that's in new for the most of the fans. Why you didn't post this before? Please shut up Hybrid you are not the God Of this.

smith2011-10-21 06:36:05
hybrid just showed us this "elite"-thinking. they think they are something great, because they have music that hasn't the public. It's not the very first time that he showed us this behavior. he became very big-headed.

to write stop posting real complete track-listings and telling everyone that it is SOOOO old news for him, is really really really lame.

Shame, because i thought in the beginning hybrid were a nice guy, but after posting some of this crappy posts from him, where he wants to tell everyone that he's something better makes him small and a jerk.

just my 2 cents.

Hybrid Soldier2011-10-21 07:51:25
Bla bla bla...

Because this is NOT THE PLACE to post tracklists like that ! I've said it before, I'll say it again...

Just think of me like I'm Falcone from Begins... ;)

Karambaru2011-10-21 10:20:38
I think I heard h-z.com team recently had some issues with RCP for adding bootleg tracklists here, that's why they are a bit touchy when people keep coming here to add new ones.

@Anonymous+@smith
When I see both of you acting like whiney b**ches with Hybrid (who is just the guy who brought you so many informations and complete scores in the past) I know why we "the elite" aren't sharing music with you any more !
And we're not "elite" btw, we simply decided to be active instead of passive, and sometimes helping people in the studios can be rewarding. Think about that before critisizing.

smith2011-10-21 12:03:36
@ Hybrid: But why not? it's a public place where we can talk about the scores. And if there is a complete listing, why not posting it here? Just tell me a reason. Just saying because you don't want it is not a reason.

@Karambaru: I already said, Hybrid was a nice guy, until some months ago. But it becomes more often where he states posts like this that it is SOOOOOO old news for him, or when some is happy about a complete score he answers like "yeah i've heard to it 2 years ago, so it's so old for me". Posts like that are unnecessary don't you think? Why don't let people be happy or excited when they get something they entirely wish.

And not sharing anymore? You never shared something! Music should be for everyone available. And not only for you guys out there who are thinking to be something better then others.

And please get back to topic now. I love this score and was SO happy when i saw the complete one. I simply love this score.

cheesy2011-10-21 13:40:57
@Hybrid Do you mean Fox from Begins?

Sorry for glossing over the the majority of these comments here, you just have no idea how sick I'm getting of all this complete score crap. I mean, I love them, but still... can't we talk about something else for once? I mean, as other users have said before, this place has really gone downhill. And I may not be totally innocent, but still, this is becoming a gray market.

Am I now an idealist for wishing we could just talk about the actual music again?

Mr. Fate2011-10-21 14:30:51
From smith: "Posts like that are unnecessary don't you think?"

Yes, I do think that--I think that all of your posts are unnecessary. Karambaru has some powerful words, and he really knows how to say the right things. It's whiners like you and Anonymous that are in the wrong here. I've never viewed Hybrid Soldier in a bad light, but you guys sure are trying hard.

This site sucks because of folks like you.

Anonymous2011-10-21 23:31:52
Karambaru you never share or shared jack s**t. too worried about the consequences, hm? crawl back into your gloryhole of scores and never return

Mr. Jones2011-10-22 20:51:06
hybrid is just a fanboy who has his 'connections' and gets special stuff from remote control productions. sometimes to hype up scores, sometimes cause hes bored. he doesnt actually work in the group, but pretends to. he then hands down some of those scores as time goes on, eventually leaking to that fine place we all know. he has all you hanging like a thread, just like I did, only difference is hes not selling anything. kind of ironic, dont you think?

Mr. Fate2011-10-22 21:51:17
Huh. Interesting. However, I am not getting what the irony is in that.

So, Mr. Jones...whatever *did* happen to that music you teased us with? I find it intriguing that you would bring up your own actions in comparison to Hybrid's. Perhaps you are just another one of those folks that likes to tease the less fortunate with the music we don't and can't have.

But some things have changed now. We have an actual bootleg of that Pirates score with quite a lot of unreleased music on it. How does your version compare with this one--if you don't mind my asking?

Mr. Jones2011-10-22 22:52:46
I merely wanted to know how far people would go to get this music they love. turns out it goes pretty far, seriously some of you are pathetic. its gonna be out soon, just watch for it. I can only imagine how many scores will be out on the realm by jan 2012

tom2011-10-22 22:58:12
any chances for last samurai?

Mr. Fate2011-10-22 23:08:39
This has been quite a year to be getting some much sought after scores, but I find it hard to imagine what you are envisioning right now. Still...was the music you posted actually real, or were parts of it borrowed from somebody else's edit? I'd think the complete score to that movie would have far more tracks than what you posted.

If you don't mind my asking, again: what scores do you see getting out around the time frame you stated?

Anonymous2011-10-23 04:56:36
Just Remember: This site is a fan-site. So, like a fan i write something new about a score, that is new for me. And, if this OLD NEWS for you Hybrid, well, don't write anything. And, like you say this is NOT THE PLACE to post tracklists like that ! I've said it before, I'll say it again...", well, tell us where do we post tracklist. Just curiosity, i posted the tracklist of Jumper complete Score (because this exist 33 Tracks) and you say that it's not true and was a fake. Many days after, you posted the tracklist of jumper complete score, and suddenly, that tracklist dissappear. So, you cannot accept that ONE FAN, post and find something that you never had. It's interesting.
