featurette with new music(choir!)

www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=rtcEtDDqvu8Well I mean ''Looking Into Limbo (Alternate)''Untitled track # 1 it's very similiar like MementoThese files come from a 48Khz source. What is the sampling rate of the flac version?I have just realized that the main theme was very close to broken arrow main theme (the famous guitar theme).
that too....aside from that 4th descending note...Very true.

For the sake of argument, and because I'm really tired of this debate. They are also the 'James Bond Chords/ascending melody"yeah there is I just pointed it out.

Do a side by side comparison, you'll hear the same chords.

Superman theme dresses it up by adding a few extra notes at the end bt it's the same ascending chords....Hybrid soldier can you tell us when this score will leak? It's the 1st news on imdb frontpage :)
I asked this, but it's likely to do better on its own topic. Does anybody have any idea what M8 and M16 should have contained? And, I hear the supposed FYC Promo had a different version of Circle of Life. Any truth to that one?Any idea what M8 and M16 should have contained? And, I hear the supposed FYC Promo had a different version of Circle of Life. Any truth to that one? While TDKR can truly be called a Hans score, however, I do understand the question with regards to Inception (which I mentioned on that page), where Lorne not only arranged the score as heard in the film but wrote a couple themes himself (Fischer's theme, Kick It Suite, and possibly even Saito's theme). In that case I would say he should be given credit as a co-composer.I can answer that one, Anon. With The Dark Knight Rises, pretty much ALL the music comes from one of two sources: the suites Hans wrote for the movie or from the scores of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight (also by Hans). And even though Lorne arranged a whole lot of cues for the film, they're hardly changed from the way Hans wrote them, so you're truly listening to Hans Zimmer when you watch the film.

With Modern Warfare 2, Hans only wrote ONE piece, the Opening Titles. The other pieces are not only arranged by Lorne (as in TDKR) but COMPOSED BY Lorne (something not the case in TDKR).Another great Powell release was Chicken Run!
Powell animated scores do tend to get good treatment. How to Train Your Dragon was an excellent album. And you're right, Maelstrom pt. 1 and Liftoff are great pieces, which is why I intentionally said the scores contain MOST of the notable stuff. ;)Well, yeah, the complete score here is only about 15 minutes longer than the regular album. Powell animated scores (which this really is more than a Zimmer effort) tend to have pretty good releases that contain most if not all of the music, and always all of the really important stuff.

As for your other ones, I agree with all of them except At World's End. The Treasures Collection suites were definitely an absolute godsend, but that still didn't include Maelstrom Pt. 1 or Liftoff, which are both absolutely essential cues IMO.I'm the greatest Hans Zimmer fan of all time and I say there is nothing close to AWE in Superman's theme. DOT.

-Love, peace, weed and music-What the hell is that? where you get it from? the source do not tell me is your'ssYep, he is. But still he's in talks for Bond (or maybe it's just a rumor, we can't possibly know). If this news is true, i suppose he'll do Bond right after shooting Interstellar... But then there will be no Bond until 2015 and that's a bit long. Wait and see.

Leaving The Monastery is nice too, i like that ostinato tune. However, it was too long ending.

Babylon Requiem is most definitely the highlight piece in this score. It's a sort of combination of the mysterious Angels & Demons choirs and ostinatos, the frenzied Dark Knight chopping strings, and energy to rival Requiem for a Tower. Go Atli!

The song in the trailer is called "Lux Aeterna" by Clint Mansell - you can find it on the Requiem For A Dream soundtrack.

The music suffers from the same problem the film does.
It has no proper ending, no climatic action cue. Most of the tracks are dark-brooding-ambient style which gers boring after a few minutes. A few theme stand out though. Nice effort, but could have been much better.
