oh wow finally... and I like how they finally gave Lorne creditFinally this gets some sort of release outside of China !Well it's complicated cause on the first film it was done such in a hurry that some themes became more "situation themes" than "character themes". But yeah, there's a loooooooooooot !I did a breakdown for the hell of it a while back, the sheer amount of themes/motifs is astounding, not quite as many as Lord of the Rings or Star Wars but very close!

It’s tricky to really place some of the theme meanings in as much as they were repurposed for the other films through temp tracking.I was recently revisiting all of this scores and I was wondering...

Could anyone help me identify all of the themes from the whole saga and tell mewhat they represent?

I already got a lot of them like the Kraken, Davy Jones, Mermaids, the main theme, etc. But others are still a bit confusing on what they represent, like for example the theme Neely and Badelt created in the first movie that were used in the following movies.

Thanks in advance!
why no cd release?Haha! Wear the mask. how fitting.yap. and all of the alternates :PI want that "Final Confrontation" cue so much!Most of them are done actually and should have been released a while ago !
Hybrid why is HZ scoring so many films lately, has he placed a bet with himself or something? lol

Looking forward to it. Boss Baby was a really fun score.I'm confident he would care. Not saying he has any control over it.
I don't think Mondo should be making any money from this release. It ought to be canceled and removed from their website.

It's more than just a tempo issue. The tone is entirely off, and parts that were once pleasing to hear, now sound awful to my ears.

Seems Mondo is lacking the proper quality control. Hopefully this is a wake up call for them. If enough people avoid buying this album or return it, they'll get the message. I like to see capitalism work properly.
Maybe Pope is involved.Great news! The first one is fun, not Zimmer’s best animated score imo but it’s still pretty enjoyable. I almost wish they got Conrad Pope involved again, “Love” is one of the most beautiful cues of the past few years.The first one was quite pretty good.
We knew Steve would return for quite some time, but I was surprised Hans would actually return too. But he's very involved with that one.Who is Hans Zimmerman?i want it so much <3I guess it's only fair that they do shoulder the blame, considering again that releases like these aren't really the norm for them. I still wouldn't expect a recall and replacement, since it'd be a lot of money down the drain there. Their loss ultimately at the end of the day.

A bit disappointed about the content being the exact same as the leak, as I would've liked some of the film edits or at least the alt mixes I've seen pop up. I guess I'll just have to hope Disney does end up cooperating with LLL sooner than later.You gotta realize one thing, most of the time, Hans doesn't even know about these releases (and honestly I think he doesn't care). Only a few labels like LLL play ball and have him involved (but as Hans doesn't own most of his music, they have no other reason than courtesy to do so).

As for MI2, people who complained about the "content" instead of the tech aspect of it were goddamn wrong. Yes, the film mixes / OST mixes are pretty different. Because you have suites & sometimes material specifically arranged for the album or alternate cues.

Mondo having released the final mixes (and I know what Paramount provided them, it's just exactly the same 2 CD set copy that leaked years ago), I have no problem if the content is different.

And that's the topic on which they answered, James. Technically, they're not wrong, but they are ditching the REAL problem, for which they are responsible for ! The speed issue is on them, not on what they got.

Hi, people!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm the GREAATTTT Hitman fan and I invite russian-speaking people to our forum HitmanWorld.borda.ru

About the song "I've got you in my sights..."

I know, what is it.))
It is from little-known australian band "Empire". The song is "I'm Your Hitman".
#######
Well, also i am a great fun of Hans Zimmer and Trevor Rabin. Espesially "The Last Samurai" and "Armageddon" - awesome music.

May be, I could get a little help?))
What music was used in TV-trailers (it's not Ave Maria) and in the beginning of International Trailer?

Who is the band that performed the second song in the credits? After the instrumental music at the start, a proper song plays and I can only assume it is called "Hitman" as that seems to be the one repeated word, but there are other lyrics, including "I've got you in my sights", "I've got a plan to take you down" etc.

Working at a Cinema, I have heard this song many times and quite enjoy it, and I would like to know who the band was so that I can get more of their stuff.

LOL Pete !

Powell "violated" by Zanelli ?

LOL

Zanelli was Powell's assistant for 4 years... I don't think there's any problem between them...

And another good review of the score:
"I worshipped Geoff Zanelli's energetic and uber engaging action score. Made the film feel more thrilling than it was."

skeptic reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-26 00:00:00
From another review: "Hitman, with Geoff Zanelli's stirring musical score, nonetheless, is destined to be acclaimed the best action thrill ride of the year."

skeptic reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-26 00:00:00
Odd quotes from the reviews Pete. Remember when Bourne first came out and everyone kept saying it sounded like Danny Elfman? I thought the score sounded interesting, and it's not like Powell was the first person to write a jittery string line for an action movie.

Pete reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-26 00:00:00
"Composer Geoff Zanelli cuts and pastes the soundtrack from the “Bourne” films and calls it his own"

Pete reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-26 00:00:00
"A score that Bourne composer John Powell should consider suing for violating his movie music copyright."

When is the soundtrack due out? I can't find any info at all about the possible release date, I live in the UK BTW.

Kaya reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-24 00:00:00
Wait, so the release date was pushed back? Cause Amazon said my CD was supposed to ship Nov 20th then delayed the order. Best Buy had the same release date too. Was it delayed at the last minute?
