So having seen the film I can say that this is tonally the most mature score of the series. The old themes all get their moment to shine, but surprisingly are used far less than the previous 2. There also seem to be some temped moments, with one scene using portions of “Battle of the Bewilderbeast” and so on. It will be interesting to see what is missing from the album.

In terms of new stuff, both “The Hidden World” cue and the “Fury Love Theme” are obviously the standouts. Especially in the way they develop throughout. And without spoiling anything, there are some beautiful choral moments in the last 15 minutes. As for the villain material, there wasn’t really anything distinctive that I picked up, which might change with a few listens. As everyone has said for the billionth time, NO. These are all unofficial fan-made edits or rips.Is this cd of the complete score available for purchase somewhere?I loved it a lot like you and was searching and searching with no result for a long time.... and know what? Did not forget about it UNTIL NOW!!! It was in a change room at my fitness studio when I heard a very faint sound and was tunderstruck!!! The melody I was looking for for so long!!! And Shazam helped me out: it is a song from the christians from 1995 or so, called: Words! You‘re welcome :-)))and tracklist

Pictures. Visit the official movie website for more information.

Here’s the album track list:

1. Serenity
2. The Beast
3. Suit
4. Karen
5. Baker Dill
6. Patrick
7. Saying Balfe has no imagination is beyond stupid. Take a listen at some of his work on animated movies (Home, or his work on KFP2-3), it's definitely not to work of someone without imagination.

On Fallout in particular, I honestly think he makes the best use of the classic themes in the series. That's maybe not "imaginative", as these themes aren't his, but it's definitely clever and not something every composer can do. Even an experienced guy like Michael Giacchino had 2 stabs at this franchise, and yet failed not only to give a memorable score, but also failed in using these classic themes in such a fun way.JohnWilliams Started out or rather got more into the realm of composing being doing Tv SHowsMeistermind - what’s wrong with being a TV composer ?

You sound like those idiots on Film music forum that think they know so much .The keyboard comment is exactly the nonsense said.

Fallout is one of the best action films ever in my opinion with a brilliant soundtrack.

Balfe is what in the 80s you might have called a TV composer. He has skills to get the job done but no imagination on anything. There'll be a few live bongos in the next film, a lot of supposedly live brass that sounds exactly like my keyboard, and no imagination.

That's the seemingly Chris Nolan way they want to go here. But if McQuarrie and Cruise are sticking to their mandate on making every film different, well how about (they are not going to go full Lathimos whatever), trying the Jeremy Dyson way, and go for Frank Ilfman. How about being more creative, Mansell has burned his bridges but still does excellent music but how about Richter, he can do anything, or even a Murray Gold. If you hire a pointless HZ flunkie, we'll get someone good, This used to be fine, but now with these dingdongs it is increasingly difficult
Balfe did produce both !!!!!!!!!!so ofcause they would sound related
Fallout was an excellent film and great soundtrack
In my opinion this soundtrack is very different than the others.
Six films and five composers, with a different styles and this soundtrack is very different.
For me it's a great soundtrack but the sound is too similar at the dark Knight and Dunkirk.Have to agree about Balfe and Fallout being the best mission score.would be interesting to see what he would do with bond or even Star Wars.
There seems to be comments on twitter that Balfe will be doing the score live at the The Royal Albert Hall.anyone know ?If you want modern, have Ludwig Göransson score the movie. Him or Don Davis. If you want to stick with RCP, I would love to see Benjamin Wallfisch take a stab at it based on his work on King of Thieves.Hello team, i would just like to add to the thank-you's, throughout the years you've been roxxin the world.
anyways i particularly enjoyed "time" but not for the movie instead it was used as an AMV on youtube for the japanese anime Zetsuen No Tempest. the story is epic suffice to say that it + time blew my heart away then and there.
So thank you very much :D...but modern
Lalo Schifrin certainly didn't need Lorne Balfe to make him sound cool. Now that would be an interesting to hear what he could do with Star WarsModern and cool? Seriously Balfe is the reason why the theme works? Let’s have balfe re write Star Wars to make it modern and cool.I think Balfe has to come back because Fallout was the first since Mission 2 the music worked. He made Lalo’s theme sound modern and cool. It's out there.

Any chance Activision will release this score properly, to capitalize on the remaster of the game? ;)

Where does Ambush Standoff play?

MacArthur reply Replies: 1 || 2014-03-18 17:13:47
This game is probably the best in the series.

Mike2014-03-18 17:34:12
And the music in it was amazing! :D

Anon-e-missing reply Replies: 1 || 2013-10-28 02:01:25
So...can anyone put clearer titles on these tracks?

I can tell the following:

--Blackout Hurry is when Price, Gaz, and Soap rappel down and rush to the house where Nikolai is held
--Blackout Nightvision is once they get in the house
--Cargoship Approach, Escape, and flyaway are obvious
--Scout Sniper Abandoned is when you go into the abandoned buildings at the end of All Ghillied Up
--Scout Sniper Dash is whenever MacMillain says, "OK.....go!" and you run for it
--Scout Sniper Deadpool is when the two guys by the truck are dumping the corpses into the water
--Scout Sniper Pripyat is the beginning of All Ghillied Up until you pass through the church
--Scout Sniper Surrounded is when you're crawling through the troops

The multiplayer stuff is obvious too, as are "Griggs Deep Hard", "Silent Movie Special", and "Coup Intro" But what are the rest?.

Mike2013-10-28 13:37:38
Well, BogA Shantytown, BogA Tankdefense, and BogA Victory should be obvious enough. ;) The first plays after you shoot down the tanks on the bridge and then make your way to the downed Abrams tank, the second is when you defend the tank, and the third is when that mission is completed. "Killhouse Price" is when you meet Price in the training mission. ICBM Tension (think "Intercontinental Ballistic Missile") is the stealth section of the mission where you're searching for Griggs. ICBM Launch is at the end of that mission when the missile launches.

Sniper Escape Exchange is when you and MacMillan observe Zakhaev's exchange from the hotel, then Sniper Escape Run is when you and MacMillan are trying to reach the extraction point. Launch B Count 01, 02, etc... play during "No Fighting in the War Room". You just gotta apply your brain. ;)

Out of curiosity, why is this soundtrack on the Hans Zimmer site? I know Hans Zimmer has worked with Henry Gregson-Williams before and Hans Zimmer did the soundtrack for Modern Warfare 2, but what is his connection to this soundtrack?

Just curious. :)

Edmund Meinerts2013-07-22 13:18:17
This site lists scores by ALL RCP composers, not just Zimmer, so that includes Henry Gregson-Williams, Harry Jackman, Ramin Badelt, Klaus Djawadi, Nick Jablonsky and Steve Glennie-Smith.

Mike2013-07-22 18:42:39
I see what you did there, Edmund... ;)

I love the music in the mission "Hunted" (which also sometimes plays in multiplayer) when you lie down as the chopper flies overhead with the searchlight. So suspenseful. I wish COD4's score had been given an official release.

Am I the only one who, after playing Call of Duty 4, keeps the Xbox on and lets the music play for a while? Seriously. The main menu music is good stuff.

Mike2012-12-20 05:08:02
Sorry, fellow-name-sharer, but this isn't for downloading. It's just a list of cues written for the game.

Anonymous2012-12-21 16:47:13
Actually, if you have the computer version of the game you can access the game's music folder on your computer and get all the songs that way. That is how I obtained it!

@ HGW4
Only reason you hear some of Harry's motifs or electronic samples is because Stephen worked under Harry. I am sure that Harry allowed Stephen to use some of the motifs he created as samples. Another example is with Rupert Gregrson-Williams in which he will use his brother's electronic samples in some of his scores aswell.

Actually...if you listen to each song carefully you can hear Harry Gregson-Williams' motifs in a lot of the music. So I would say he had a lot more to do with the music than just the theme. I think they just say "main theme" for some random reason...

Evenstar reply Replies: 0 || 2009-11-06 00:00:00
just theme afaik
