Did he watch any of the other Superman Movies he didn't score? Oh wait those movies still kept to his standard...

I don't see what the big deal is. He should be aware of the reboot phenomena by now and it's a different animal from his.

TOTALLY different animal.I saw that article too, but it's misleading. The reason he says it'll be hard to watch is NOT the music, but rather because of Chris Reeve no longer playing Superman.

Good news about Star Wars, though!blog . zap2it . com/pop2it/2013/05/man-of-steel-will-be-hard-for-me-to-see-s ays-superman-composer-john-williams.html

I don't think he should be worried, there's only one Master in film music.I heard somewhere that Vidal now works in HGW's old studio, is that true?

Also, more to the point, is the score from FF6 going to get a release? The movie's already out and I haven't heard anything, which is making me a little nervous. I really like Vidal's scores (Cold Light of Day was excellent) and this is his biggest movie yet so I'm interested to hear it, especially if he actually keeps continuity with Tyler's themes. A different composer keeping the previous themes? I must be dreaming!Thank you! :) I'm actually not really that sure about Lorne's specific credit (it could be "musical consultant") - but I'm sure it isn't "additional music".

I'm curious about the situation with this one, because it sounded like one of those "complicated scores" (and I don't mean a bad score - just a last minute rewrite, or something like that - the score itself is actually quite enjoyable). It borrows heavily from Brian Tyler's material for last two movies (mainly Letty's and the "family" theme) and it also features quite a few temp-track inspired cues (Mombasa, Time), but of course that's not a fault of a composer. :)
Hybrid, can you tell me which tracks feature Joshua Bell as solo violin?I'm not pretty sure...im pretty sure A123 said it will be on the 25thDamn... ;-)Lol, of course not...
it's just a stupid joke from some bloke
any leak at 8:00 ? ^_^Vidal is quite linked to RCP indeed. Bruce Fowler orchestrated some of his movies.

Lorne "technical assistant" ? You sure ? No way, he wouldn't lose time on a film like that as tech assistant. Music consultant why not. This just looks like a credit to hide his true role. I'll do a little enquiry about that... :Pthis is going to be an intense(ly satirical) film.Just a little offtopic - does anyone know something about Lorne's/RCP involvement in Fast & Furious 6? There's a bunch of RCP credits (Lorne Balfe as technical assistant, Gavin Greenaway as conductor) in end titles of the movie + the whole score sounds quite "RCP-ish" in some places (it even features a few samples from the RCP sample library). Thanks! :)Anybody else hear Curse of the Black Pearl in the first fifty seconds of "I Claim Your Sun"?
Hybrid, any info on who did what?thank you very much my friend i really appreciate that :)i hope this is good :DGuitwo, here it is. Crappy quality though:

/watch?v=yhov2VdhbzAGuitwo, i'm afraid the trailer 4 music is more a mix of several bits of the score. You can hear the tune of "Ignition", and then some sounds i assume are Zod's theme.

You'll get your answer when the score's out :)

as a music lover, i liked the movie.......... i liked the way the kid Evan Taylor(as known in the movie) listens all the voices n noises that he hears n transformed it into music. the director or the story writer as i would say must be a great music lover. this is for the director of the movie.......... "way to go dude" keep doing this n u will be on the top within no time.

Hans did NOT compose anything... :)

KB reply Replies: 0 || 2009-01-31 00:00:00
Actually, the only thing composed by Hans Zimmer on the soundtrack was the Main Theme, which was Mark Mancina as well. I think he was also a music supervisor, but I don't remember for sure. What has been driving me mad is who wrote the Rhapsody?!? It doesn't say in the movie credits, and he album on iTunes says it is composed by "August Rush". Big help.... Shame, because that was a magnificent piece and I would have loved to look up the artist's other works. How is it that no one claims the song that stole the show?

Who will want such damaged tones? Yet i always hear and feel it. Maybe one day it will follow or lead- it really doesnt matter- as long as "i know" its by MY side. THANKS for the moments. Still ..-just breathe-

Why so little score? you'd think that a movie so musically driven would include more score or even an entire score album. I loved the music so much

The movie and the music as itself was pretty amazing, but the music actually took my own breath away. The music on the other hand....makes it the key on how it's made into a great movie
