How's that?For those wondering what album tracks are cues vs. suites, it looks like the cues (perhaps edited) are:

Half-Remembered Dream (Warner Bros and Syncopy logos, slightly extended)
Radical Notion (Ariadne building a dream)
528491 (the "disappointed" scene where Fischer opens the safe)
Dream Within a Dream (a mix of fighting in the snow and walking through limbo)
Waiting for a Train (an edited version of Cobb's confession to Mal)
Paradox (Cobb going back to get Saito from Limbo)
Projections Bonus Track (the beginning mission)
Don't Think About Elephants Bonus Track (an edited version of the second part of the fortress fight)

Then the following would be suites:

Mombasa
One Simple Idea
Time
Old Souls
We Built Our Own WorldMy favorites are "An Idea Is Like a Virus", "Mr. Charles", ""Into the Van", and "Fischer and Son", as well as the Time Suite. :)If I had to guess, I would say the purpose of the cue sheet is to determine what goes where...Not to document all the music written/used, necessarily...I dunno. It is a shame, though. The film version of Backup is intense.This reminds me: can anyone tell me why these scores contain cues as originally recorded, but not the final film versions also/instead (like Backup)?
JNH's Harvey Dent theme is beautiful.Say what?MTV Trailer Music original version?this is mgbube and i have to say i am playing the violine and these noise do not sound like harmonics to me it sounds like shit ass recording flub or botched up special effect either way it is annoying is there some way to clean it up thanks mgbubethis is mgbube for ggctuk this is ancient message you have dug up there and this person medivh has never again shown up here so it is not stupid to assume his allegations were false i have very old interviews and will have a look at them sooner or later to clear up what hans said about amount of music composed for masterpiece the lion king thanks mgbube
this is mgbube for ggctuk what artifacts could be introduced into the music by so called downsampling can you please elaborate thanks mgbubethis is mgbube for ggctuk i am telling my idea of what missing music is one has to be the warthog rhapsody because there is no way it can not be the warthog rhapsody please see for yourself on youtube it is there thanks mgbubeYou can't even download and purchase a digital copy anymore. I beginning to doubt a CD...I would say yes...that choir sounds very much like stock Zimmer choir...Thanks Hybrid!
Here we go... :PThank you HybridI could do it but it wouldn't be totally accurate. I mean, some cues are taken from Begins (done by JNH) but here done by HZ... :)

And I don't have all credits for Lorne's work, just partial...

But yeah, I'll do it...Hybrid did say it was more clear-cut than Batman Begins was, though. Even if specific credits can't be given, it's probably fair to say that "action/epic scenes" = Zimmer material, "anything related to Dent or having to do with tragedy" = Howard.I have a feeling that if Hybrid knew, he'd have posted it already. But, of course, I'd love to be proved wrong! :)

"Lord Cutler Beckett" is the perfect mix of elegant and ruthless. Bravo Hans.

Finally got my hands on this thing, for about 30 bucks. Considering that it's not available on Amazon for under $85, that isn't bad.

@Matthew
"Am I the only one in this world that thinks movie soundtracks should be released WITH EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF MUSIC HEARD IN THE MOVIES ON THEM?

The first Pirates CD was pretty good, but Dead Man's Chest and At World's End have most of the music missing! I was TOTALLY AND UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED with both of them.

Why can't they just release the soundtracks with the COMPLETE SCORE on? Anyone agree? "

I second

Mike2012-11-30 19:44:39
Third. I'd pay as much as they want if they'd release the stuff.

Master of Fate2012-12-01 01:57:39
Haha, no. No, you wouldn't. Good joke. Just like everyone else, you would sit around waiting for one single person to buy them all and then pirate the hell out of everything.

Mike2012-12-01 03:43:59
Okay...? Did you see me ask if I could use that picture on the At World's End Expanded Score? I only get stuff I know I'm allowed to have.

Mike2012-12-01 03:47:45
Obviously, in this case I wouldn't be allowed to have it unless I bought it. There's no need for you to be rude.

Master of Fate2012-12-01 05:05:33
Oh. You're THAT guy. sorry

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 1 || 2011-02-03 00:00:00
Why ?

Because to Disney's eyes the word "music" means "costs" instead of "opportunity".

And I strongly disagree with POTC 1's OST... So many great cues missing or edited... ;)

Agnt007dman2011-08-02 06:28:19
Disney absolutely has more than enough money for costs to release a full score!

Mr Tweedy reply Replies: 0 || 2011-02-06 00:00:00
Oh come on Hybrid, I'm sure you have POTC1 complete score ! Hehe

Hybrid, another tracklisting question. Do you think you could detail who composed what on the 4th CD of this collection? Meaning, all of the extra suites from the films. I'd love to know who composed "Marry Me" and "The Heart of Davy Jones." Also, I have in mp3 format, the audio from each film's end titles suite. Could you tell me who composed what on each end title? Thanks a million! Appreciate all you do on here too!

For those who wonder should you get this set. Are the extra Disc 4 and 5 worth it.
Yes! Especially disc 4, all the suites are a great listen and is a treat to your ear. You can listen to all of them without skipping. (you may want to stop when the remix starts thou)
The beautiful theme of POTC 3 is finally given a full complete treatment of wondorous 9 mins. Dont like Pirate lord of Singapore in POTC original album? listen to the Pirate lord of Singapore suite and your opinion will change.
I am a true Hans Zimmer fan with over 50 discs in collection. I must admit thou I am not a fan of FULL and COMPLETE soundtrack because I listen to those tracks that are beautiful and skip those that are not.
I fully support suite as it developed those little sweet tunes that often I find ended too soon on usual movie score into one grand finale. Great work.

hoist the colours high!! hans you doing a magnificent job here.....you can do a 4th movie and hoist the colours even higher. CMON!

Pedal reply Replies: 0 || 2008-08-06 00:00:00
Yes, these are great. Great music. Actually, what's wrong with them, really? Well yeah I kind of wonder why they have to put all 3 soundtracks in and we have to buy it just to get the 4th disc. Well I mean the bonus and the one on Hans ZImmer. The thing is, they don't sell it in my country D: At least there's no sign of it anywhere. So I just listen to it on Youtube(:
And I thought the remixes are okay. I know some are a bit funny but then, you see them as UNIQUE(: yay. Pirate music is beautiful. Hans Zimmer is amazing.

Beckett theme rules as for the Lord of Singapore and Hoist the Colours actually they all are great

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2008-07-16 00:00:00
I beg to differ. Pirate Lord of Singapore, although not recorded the way we hear it in the film, still has some nice motifs that didn't make it to the CD. Marry Me too has the Hearts Stabbed theme and Cutler Beckett has that dude's theme which was never really given that much playtime on the soundtrack album. It's a superb CD with awesome concert suites.

DemonStar reply Replies: 0 || 2008-07-16 00:00:00
The suites are just arrangements of various unused material, demos or possibly alternates. They don't have any real unreleased music from any of the movies as such.

Ok, I feel the need to say this is an absolutely ridiculous release. I bought the Japanese special edition of the first two scores (which already has a bonus DVD) and the regular for the third. Now I'd most definately buy the additional and unreleased score CD (some nice stuff on there I must say) from this crazy box set if it were available separately. Am I gonna buy all three scores again just to get the 4th CD? No way. Another thing... who on Earth decided to put all of those horrible remixes on there again? I mean does someone actually enjoy film score being remixed into trance? That's just sick. I think Disney should either release the complete scores for the trilogy or stop messing around with people.

You know the bit in Dead man Chest, the music when Jack sparrow shot the bombs at the end to blow up the kraken, is that bit of music here?

Steve Jablonksy also composed some music?! or what?! PIRATES???!!! Yeah, yeah, duh...obviously. I love Steve Jablonsky as well so I started when I read that. I really want the CD so much!!! Okay, I'm a bigbigbigbigbigbigbigbigbigbig crazy fan and a great admirer of Hans Zimmer and his beautiful work, and I'm also one huge, huge, huge pirate fan...so when I found out they were selling this...this LOVELY, BIG HANS ZIMMER/KLAUS BADELT CD...it's natural for me to want it like...more than anything. Ahhyah...it's so expensive (it should be, anyway) and I already have the third soundtrack...actually I borrowed my friend's soundtrack and ripped it into the latop, BUT I WANT THE ORIGINAL, WHOLE THING!!! I want everything that Hans Zimmer composed. But Pirates is a number 1...I hope I'm allowed to buy that CD. If I'm not...then...well, don't care, just buy it. I have my own money, anyway. And this CD is worth all of it. THIS CD IS WORTH A THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!

Adriaan reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-23 00:00:00
