It's nothing short of a masterpiece, a modern opera. Rogue One is a bit of an odd one. From what I'd heard, Desplat had joined on the condition he'd be allowed to do his own thing and not ape Williams. But once they decided to overhaul the film, they pressured him to go that exact direction. Things stayed still for a while (in which he still got paid) before he was finally let go very late into production. So the idea he sorta just left is interesting, so I'm curious to hear what that was about.

For BW, it seems very likely to me that Marvel simply were unsure about Alexandre's music, so I'm guessing they hired Balfe to do some demos and decided from there. Who knows what the exact timeline is, but I'd wager it'd have to at least be this year if he's been on it a bit. Especially with AD's name having stayed on the posters during it.Hybrid, Desplat left Rogue One just for his own idea? I know he left that movie beacuse schedule conflict for the reshoots.
But for Black Widow seems that the replacement was since months ago with Lorne writing and recording the score at the same timeht tp:// filmmusicreporter. com/2020/04/01/ track-list-for-disneys-live-action-mulan -soundtrack-album-revealed/

Why release a tracklist for an album that won't be released for another 6 months at least. That's just a punch in the gut, in my opinionSo it won't be a last minute and hasty job?No idea but he was on it for a bit, I think.
Hybrid, do you know how long Lorne had to score?Score is recorded already.Yup, which makes me wonder if they had to wait before announcing it, considering Desplat was still being listed in posters prior to the delay.I think Lorne teased this some time ago by sending a picture of researching Russian music on insta (maybe)Hello,

I'm looking for the translation of the song God Yu Tekkem Laef Blong Mi in English of French.

Could anyone help me ?

Thank you !

Some very important music is missing from this album. For example Autobots Arrive, Decepticons theme(whne Frenzy hacks Air Force One), Autobots them (which was used in the prologue).

The lyrics of Decepticons :

"I was wondering for a longer time now what the great lyrics in the "Decepticons theme" mean, and today, I found out: The Decepticons theme is influenced by the world famous Dies Irae. Jablonsky mixed it up, and uhm, well now you have a meaningless pot of words:

Tuba, mirum, Tuba, spargens
Tremor, David, mirum, ante

Chant which gets louder throughout:
Totum totum totum totum David
Totum spargens totum david
Totum quarens, sedisti totum

(I wasn't able to understand the rest of it.)

If ya would translate it, it would be something like this:

Trumpet, casts, Trumpet wondrous
Horror, David, Casts, before

Contained, contained, contained contained David
Contained wondrous contained David
Contained seeking, hope contained

So, it's all kinda nonsense (although the real Dies Irae has a biblical meaning behind it)."

is it me, or in both the official release and this expanded release, the track of Sam first talking to Bumblebee missing? It's actually the same track as Optimus's speech at the dam. I know that in the official CD, "Optimus" sounds alot like that track, but there were no flute music in the theater version. The theater version had more choir. That's my favorite track of them all and they don't have it in both of these version!!

Does anybody know the exact lyrics in "Autobots", "Decepticons" and "Arrival to Earth"?

The piece "when Bumblebee and Sam take the Cube out of Hoover Dam and meet with Optimus and others on a highway" is just a faster version of the "Scorponok" theme, I tried to increase the playback rate on that track and thought it was pretty much the same as in that scene. Btw. the cue "when Megatron is freed from his hybernation" is almost exactly the same as "Soccent Attack", so I wouldn't say there's a "huge chunk" missing, if you have both the promo and official album.

This, of course, is not the ultimate complete score, since a huge chunk of music is still missing (when Megatron is freed from his hybernation and when Bumblebee and Sam take the Cube out of Hoover Dam and meet with Optimus and others on a highway, while Keller, Simmons and others fight with Frenzy), which is great piece of music, BTW!

I live in Serbia (where is that? :-), so I kinda figured out I was going to wait really loooong to hear this outstanding score (which I also signed the petition for). However, a guy who keeps a CD shop here in Belgrade lives in USA and regularly brings ordered original music from NY. So, in order to avoid this long nail-chewing wait, I was left with no other choice than to order this masterpiece from USA. It is due to arrive on October 12th, so much earlier than it was to officially come here. I'm so happy to share this magnificent experience with ya all. Right now I'm listening to "Transformers: The Promotional Score", track "Skorpinok" (or "Scorponok" as I like to call it). God bless you all!

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings!"

"Skorpinok" track was finally changed into "Scorponok" on the official score. The same i9s with "Whitwicky", it was changed into "Witwicky". I've read this in Chris Knight's review.

"Freedom is the right of all sentient beings!"

this promo is great and has indeed more music then the original, but i have listened to 2 tracks from the original album that i have been able to get hold of and i have to say that the original is awesome, its like jablonkys gladiator if u know what i mean. buy it love it. The original takes the music to another level. I dont know if there will be a complete score or not, but if u have this 1 like i do, then u can easily make ur own. Kudos to steve jablonsky and chris for this.

I want to ask a question, "Why Skorpinok?"
I thought it should be "Skorponok", and actually that's contained in the official score album.
But it still remains "Skorpinok" in the promotional score and this expanded edition.
Why? Somebody please give me an answer.

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-10-09 00:00:00
It's just a mistake DomeCity...

Exactly like "Pouchet" in the Bad Boys release (it should be Fouchet)...

Chris Knight reply Replies: 0 || 2007-10-08 00:00:00
Hey hey, it's me Chris the dude who started the petition. Got the soundtrack yesterday (still can't thank Steve Jablonsky for providing this) and am now up to SEVEN times listening to it all the way through!

Mom came by and asked what was that *beautiful* music playing on the stereo and I told her it was the Transformers score and she said something about how she never knew Transformers could be so pretty :-)

Cannot recommend it enough that you guys get this CD: it is one of the highest-quality soundtracks that has ever graced my collection. This is a far richer and moving experience than you had listening to it during the movie, even. You listen to this music and it sweeps you along, puts wonderful images of heroism and big robots fighting it out in your mind. But I also can't say this enough: BE CAREFUL if you choose to listen to "Scorponok" while driving 'cuz I found myself speeding while it was playing this afternoon on the way back from a couple o' towns over.

Steve Jablonsky and his crew deserve the highest praise for their work on Transformers: The Score and Warner Records should get bigtime props for making this CD not just good, but the way every soundtrack CD should be.

BTW, even though I have a copy here (Steve sent my wife and I each a signed copy, and there's one signed copy that we'll be auctioning on eBay soon to help with something related to music education here, more details on my review at here-of-transformers.html ) but after all we've been through this summer to show support for this CD, I am DEFINITELY counting down the hours along with everyone else until Tuesday. I won't be perfectly happy until I walk into the local Best Buy and Wal-Mart and Target and perceive those nice shiny copies of Transformers: The Score on the racks. When I see it on sale, then I will be satisfied.

You guys really have no idea what's in store for you, how good this is. Just 28 1/2 more hours to go!! :-)

Take care and God bless,
Chris Knight

Something interesting... This bootleg seems to be completely different from the official CD... What do I mean ?

The album contains a lot of tracks (all ?) "special album edited", no film versions, with re-arrangements... A little bit the same Powell did with X-Men 3, with music re-worked for the CD you can't find in the film...

That's why the official release is really important, at least as important as this bootleg... ;-)

Mr. Knight, i can honestly say i never envyed someone as much as i do right now. I praise you for your effort in making this CD a reality and for joining all of us in buying the CD,even though you already have it, and signed by the genious (anyone who composes something as good as this score IS a genious) himself. I'm counting the hours till i get it, though, living in Europe, i'll have to wait a bit longer Just one question relating to your review of the score. The music in the scene where BB shrinks the cube is amongst my favorite cues from the movie, after the Arrival on Earth(?), Optimus (the sample sounds just amazing) and Autobots. Is that cue part of the All Spark track?
Once again thank you for all you've done. I salute you.

"Sorry. In this world, you cannot "own" an illegal bootleg. "get your facts straight"

lol Funny. It's the same, even if it's not an official release. If you have it, you can listen to it whenever you want. It is present in your computer, on your hard drive, laser disc or audio CD or whatever you can share it ... so you possess that score that's all. You OWN it.
If you get caught you can be sure it won't change anything.

If you want to keep it for you just do it, don't try to tell me you don't "officially have it". That's rubbish and you're being pathetic.

"get your facts straight" dude.
