I confirm I'm back from it, there's quite a bit of unreleased score.Well, now we have somebody who's seen it (and yes, it's out in some countries today), we know for certain.

I wouldn't expect anything official any time soon unless Zimmer wants to release a second CD.I absolutely love Kai’s theme in this score, there are so many cool variations that weren’t on the initial album. Hans and Co. really stepped up their game here. I don’t feel the temp as heavily here as KFP2 (which is still an amazing sequel score).Saw the film today, there is a LOT of music missing.As stupid as this film is, you can tell Tom probably had fun working on it. The music is so over the top, it just goes nuts all the way through.
This is one of those scores that I have really warmed up to since it’s release. The emotional stuff for Alita works really well in context and her “Hero Theme” gets some great development (the way it culminates in “Epilogue” is incredible). Also really love the “Motorball” stuff.

After seeing the film I think the only substantial music not on the album is “Motorball Plan” and “Alita’s Revenge Pt. 1”. The end credits piece I’m guessing is edited from the Full Motorball Suite.Hybrid, did Lorne actually do a lot of writing on this one or is he just being credited for the theme?We've had this argument before, almost any score can fit in a film. But what separates the mediocre composers from the best is the ability to make great music that works on its own, outside of the film.

Hans has had a lot of work lately that hasn't been doing that, and it's the reason people want him to work with orchestra again and produce is 2000s, late 90s type of style. Because those scores, for whatever problems they had, they felt distinct, memorable (for the most part), and easily could have been enjoyed away from the film.

Good scores have themes and ideas that both enhance the film, and enhance the listener's experience. Music like Dunkirk, Inferno, or Widows just feel like shallow and empty committee scores that the studio/directors didn't want too much thought put into. "Ah just write one main theme, and fill in the rest with electronics, Hans, it'll be fine!"Hahahahaha well I’m glad he got the credit then :DI absolutely disagree with you saying Widows is a terrible score. It may not be great on album, but the music fits very well with the film.
Actually, I think he only gets credits cause he is the guy... whistling ! :PElectric violinJust out of curiosity... what instrument is playing when Liv and Ben are running towards each other at the end? (Long Distance Goodbye/Landing? I love that instrument!And I’m guessing Neill Blomkamp contributed somehow to the “We Own This Sky” theme that pops up throughout...NM
Jeff & Alex & Evan Goldman are regular Jackman team now. Alex scored a bunch of projects, hence his absence here.

Then you have Halli, Anthony Willis or Mounsey doing all sorts of things when available.Request the king of pride rock with circle of lifeAmon wrote some music before Hans took over (he has cues on his soundcloud I think), but I think he got credited (and just like 1 or 2% of the cues) more for specific sounds than music writing.Widows is terrible score, Inferno was ok, far from things like Da Vinci Code or Angels & Demons.

But yes, listen this one, is gratifying see Zimmer can make things with orchestra like early 2000s. And this comes from a guy who loves Inception, Interstellar or ChappieThe fact that his name is in brackets makes me think he didn't work directly on the score but rather is credited because something of his was used. Maybe it was some of his production music rather than Elysium specifically.

Hey Ice Hawk. Its ok no hard feelings right. So what do you want us to acually look at in Harrison's entry

Keith reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-09 00:00:00
Can't you get the expanded score on itunes? And track 32 sounds like Bumble Bee captured.

Kenna reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-09 00:00:00
So. . . If they had a Song for Frenzy what would it sound like?

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-09 00:00:00
what is the background score track that is played when the soldiers are in Qatar and they request back-up. "We need air support and we need it now... a danger close-fire mission..."

Is this track on any of the transformers soundtracks. Please assist.

Well, when this version actually doesn't contain the music from the 'autobots arrival' or the music from the opening of the movie, why would they include any samples of those pieces ??

ice hawk reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-05 00:00:00
p.s. the ending song durring prime's message was extremely cooool! not to mention drive by the cars - perfect timing ( sam's soon to be girl friend)

ice hawk reply Replies: 0 || 2007-12-05 00:00:00
what i meant was that the sample selection is bad , why not offer the better songs like the autobots arrival , and the opening of the movie ( please read harrison's comments from 11 / 01 /2007. )i admit the arrival piece was cool. very majestic and inspirational . by the way if you keep changing the story - it's no longer transformers but a modified variation . i'm not a hardcore transfan , i just don't like source material chopped to death and reworked. please read my last ending comment.

So sorry Forget my request! didnt see disclaimer

Taylor reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-23 00:00:00
What is wrong with you!?!?! They did a great job with the movie. Do you know how boring and long the movie would be if they did every thing to the comic and the t.v. series. Who cares if you grew with the comic. If you think your so great why don't you make the movie. Anyway Kusi81 is right this is for the music go find another wedsite for you to complain on. Anyway the music was great. It made the movie even more enjoyable.

Kusi81 reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-22 00:00:00
This isn't a forum for Transformers-Fans. We are talking about the music from the movie! :-)

ice hawk reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-22 00:00:00
your selection stinks! so do all of your comments . the opening of the movie is the same as autobots arrival. as some one who grew up with both the comic and the animated series --- they screwed up bigtime. michael bay is stupid . he shouldn't be allowed to direct traffic . i've never even heard of bone crusher or barricade. they made the decepticons look dumb, (faces) . i barely recognized megatron . second spike and spark plug work on oil riggs , spike (not sam) has already graduated from high school . the main concern here are the people who are not familiar with transformers . when they do their research to learn more they will find out that most of this doesn't line up with chronological timelines.

Kenna reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-19 00:00:00
This Movie was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! The music really fit the movie. Being a Band geek and all I must say... THE FRENCH HORNS SOUND AMAZING!!!!!!!!

From listening to some tunes of them, I thought this score album MUST be released!!
Because if only 'the Movie' score or this 'Expanded' one, that means no perfect.
I like 'Camaro on the run'. The scenary is clearly appeares into my brain like a flashback...! Exciting.

Excellent music, and the quality is great compared to a bootleg! I really hope the rumoured 2 CD complete score is released. Hopefully we won't have to create another petition for that!!

Michael Bay is one of the greatest directors who worked with the greatest composers as Trevor Rabins, Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky.. i feel that sll of them compose as if they belong to the same school of art....

What an amazing score, great job Steve!

From what it sounds like this "Expanded Score" is not officially available yet to the public to purchase.

My question is... does anybody know if or when the "Expanded Score" will become available to the public?

Thanks!

Which of these tracks have the Barricade vs. Bumblebee and Optimus vs. Bonecrusher music?

Ryan reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-04 00:00:00
I heard from a lot of people that this isn't the FULL score, is it not?

Harrison reply Replies: 0 || 2007-11-01 00:00:00
When I bought the official soundtrack I noticed that most of the scores are not the version used in the film. After I listened to the expanded score I know the reason, the scores in the official CD are well arranged and selected. I like the refined version in the official score more than the expanded score (in fact, both of them are great).

joseph reply Replies: 0 || 2007-10-31 00:00:00
some of the music that people are refering to is that some music is on the "official score" and bits and peices of this score are used in the movie i love this score ive listened to it over and over espically the expanded score ive listened to that continuisly one of my favorites next to my armageddon complete score well done well done:-) happy halloween every buddy:-)
