I have a question about a song from this documentary that is not on the soundtrack. Could anyone please tell me the track at approximately 47:35? Thunder is cracking, Pantani begins his attack on the Galibier, and Matt Rendell is there with eloquent narration. I got so swept up in the score at this point that I spent over an hour rewinding and Shazaming and looking up all of Balfe, Aruj, and Dworetsky's music I cound fine. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thaks,
SamThey all sound the same. Bland.So what do you think about the westworld competition and what is your most favorite entry?In sound quality (regardless of what certain peope might say about how great LPs sound; it's an analog format) the bootleg already trumps it I guess...I have the same question as well
It could be possible, but there would be too many seconds of overlap between some of these tracks for that to be a possibility in this specific case. I really hope they haven't cut down the tracks to fit on vinyl, otherwise the bootleg will trump it in terms of content.Maybe the different time lengths is due to tracks slightly overlapping each other (as in many HZ soundtrack releases)?Comparing the track times listed here, it seems (at first glance) that many of the tracks are edited down from the complete cues as heard on the bootleg. Could the listed track times be simply incorrect, or have edits been made to make the score fit onto four sides? I guess we can find out when the record ships in July.

Additionally, for those without a record player it sucks that a CD release was not possible for La-La Land. Whatever the reasons are for that, it's a bizarre situation that one independent label can release the same material on vinyl but another cannot on CD. Quite perplexing...@Hybrid, will you make the Scoob Page?Perhaps "The Cistern (Alternate)" is the album version. The music I heard in the film is not 100% the same with the track I heard in the OST.
Dang I cant wait to hear the Alternate 'Cistern' cueVinyl only...How dumb can you getLol, you’re right! I though that was Rambo III climbing the cliffs for a moment.LLL made MI 1 Complete. So they are trying to make MI 2 Complete. That could move Varese to make MI 3 Complete. But studio (Disney) don't want it.Use the Wayback Machine on Archive.org - it's all there! :)
@Zimson
404 not found dudeWhy would a studio allow a vinyl release but no CD or digital release? That's utter nonsense. Almost like they're refusing to make money.Any clue on where to find this Complete Score?.. and people wonder why there's "bootlegs" out there...Next time, we can expect a wax cylinder release... :(

I like the film version of Bathroom Titles better.

Yeah no contest IMO, it's much more dynamic and more "Powell-y" compared to that Superman-style rhythm he uses in the album version and elsewhere in the score. Must have been a hasty last-minute redo or something to not show up on the album.

HunterTech2020-01-29 00:36:42
I actually don't know which I prefer. I guess nostalgia might be clouding my judgement, since the album version was the one used on the DVD menu. Both are still pretty good, nonetheless.

the new x-men Trailer is out now!!! The first part of the music is awesome! Is it from Hans??

Mephariel2019-02-28 08:01:25
Yeah, I hope someone can confirm if Zimmer's music is in the trailers at all.

Unknown2019-02-28 15:14:42
May be the first 30 secs, but then, it's from Ghostwriter Music...

badbu 2019-02-28 15:53:17

Yeah! The hell are the other comments about though? The Last Stand is miles ahead of X2. You weren't even saying TLS was the best X-men score, you were just saying it's Powell's best score. Man people are dumb

@Hybrid, what happened to James Mckee smith and John Ashton Thomas? We don't hear anymore from them.

Hybrid Soldier2017-03-09 18:56:53
JAT is a regular orchestrator still, for Alan Silvestri, Theodore Shapiro etc. Still very busy.

McKee, from what I heard he had several health problems linked to the insane world of film scoring, so he decided to stay away. Still writes music but mostly for Production Music companies.

Scorefan2017-03-10 02:54:18
Thank you Hybrid.

CongratulationS!! John Powell!!!!!!!!!
I arrived late!!
Main Titles are different, yes. Is best the film version, not this.
But Ok, the songs are phantastics.
The final of Church Magneto and Truck are good.

Meet Leeche & Lake are one of the best songs of album. With an small action theme when Cyclops/Scott goes with moto. And the reencounter with Phoenix/Jean are more beautiful.

The Angel's Cure theme which repites in Finale & End Credits are good. A good theme.

The Death of X..Is good, and begin the Phoenix theme.

X Funeral, with a small theme of Phoenix.

Skating!!! This song begins with a mystery love theme. Amazing and Incredible, yes.

Attack On Alcatraz and Battle for the Cure are good themes, but no re the best of the album.

The best song together with Meet Leeche and Lake is The Phoenix Arises, with one simply why: because the Phoenix Theme with a chorus is Genial. I'm loved this theme.

Finale & End Credits is best and the movie version, because two themes are collaged from Meet Leeche, with End Credits. Two minutes more^^

Yes, this message is large, because this album is Incredible!

It's essentially a ''complete'' album. Everything in its finished form so no film versions.

Anonymous reply Replies: 0 || 2007-10-11 00:00:00
Is this the film versions of everything? or is it the official release with extra stuff?

Cloud reply Replies: 0 || 2007-07-08 00:00:00
The sound is perfect, can't hear any difference to the OST. Too bad the film version of the Main Titles is still missing, otherwise a perfect album.

Yes -- that means the official release has to be bought even if you have this boot

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-19 00:00:00
hehehe, it's a bootleg after all, what did you expect OMG? ;-)

OMG reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-19 00:00:00
Sound quality is not as good as the Varese release :(

Sylvos reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-17 00:00:00
So, the missing 30 minutes arrived earlier than expected. I wish some other scores would follow the same routine. It seems to me that the good parts are already released on Varese's disc but at least this bootleg is not a gapless album. It may help finding the key tunes we're after faster but listening to a track without a beginning nor ending is weird.
