Me too. The deluxe edition was quite underwhelming. Would love to get the entire Sicily sequence.Really gutted that the FYC is out but it's missing the one moment from the score I really wanted, the statement of the Alpha theme from HTTYD2. Wonder why Powell and his crew seem to be going out of their way to prevent that from being heard...something about pre-existing material, maybe? But why just that theme and not the dozens of others? Weird.If you ask me, that "personal tragedy" for Snyder, though real, was just an excuse for them to fire him. It was convenient for Warner. They saw his film and they probably got scared it was impossible to sell, too long, too much BvS, too much this, too much that... This irony is now they made a billion with the darkest DC movie ever... Nice call WB... The minute Whedon & Elfman were "in", you understood this film was not Zack Snyder's anymore. This film is so terrible, I rewatched it lately, you can feel pretty much 80% of it is Whedon reshoots (just look for actors that look nothing like themselves when they shot the initial film, "New Haircut" Amy Adams, "Bottox" Batfleck, "Mustache" Cavill... And you can see from miles away how they all act like they don't care, that they hated every minute of reshooting it. I'm really sad Geoff Zanelli had to participate into this travesty, but I hope he got a huge paycheck for the pain ! lol Especially since Geoff was at the very beginning of the DCEU since he started working on ideas with Hans on Man Of Steel, before he left early to handle The Lone Ranger...

#ReleaseTheSnyderCut

Oh and btw Brian Tyler was fired from Avengers 2. And not because of the music he was writing. Whedon brought Elfman at the last minute, first he was "additional music", then "co-composer", if he had, say, one more month, he would have replaced the entirety of Tyler's score... He just didn't get enough time to do that...I definitely agree with your last sentence. I really like seeing the RCP composers going back to orchestral splendor and melody. Shame Jablonsky's been MIA because of his family. I would have loved to see him come back with the orchestral, melodic voice that Balfe and Tom have had lately.cool!
Whedon has his particular tastes which are guaranteed to be more sensible than 'Anonymous' below. This was a case where Snyder was facing an uphill struggle and a personal tragedy. He left the project. Josh came on board and he does not think highly of the RCP school, as anyone with a sensible ear will do. So he hired Elfman who did Age of Ultron for him after Tyler copy-pasted himself too much. It's ironic that fanboys here lambast Elfman for not being Zimmer enough in scope while Tyler does whatever he does, sounding EXACTLY the same on all projects.

But it's also heartening to see that all of the good RCP composers like Jackman, Junk, Balfe are now going for scores that sound a lot like 1990s or 2000s - Silvestri (Jumanji), Jones (Alita), or Shore (Dark Materials), respectively.Did Holkenborg finish his score and have time to record it? Is there an actual score? It seems to me he got jettisoned early in the process when Whedon came on board. It would be surprising if he had time to record an actual score with players and an orchestra.I can't decide whether or not some of the things I want to hear from him should be in his new show or a new World of Hans Zimmer show.@Ds Omar is saying that this was the direction Tom went with / what the score sounded like not that he was fired because he didnít deliver the sound heís known for :)
Of course he was replaced after Snyder left the project.

And yeah citation is needed.Desperately hoping we'll hear something from Dune. He's said himself how excited he is to finally work on music for a Dune movie and turned down Nolan for it, and it will be out a few months before these shows begin.
The FYC came out for this. Unfortunately, it's missing two entire tracks from the film. An extended "Busy, Busy Berk", and the film version of "Furies Captured" (which at least had a YouTube upload of the alternate version).

Guess we'll have to hope for a complete/recording sessions leak for everything else.Will he come to Sthlm / Gothenburg sweden???https://www. axs.com/why-we-need-a-chicago-med-soundtrack-album-in-our-li ves-112620

Why they never release this?!....Omar: Well tried, but Junkie XL was replaced after Snyder was fired and Whedon came in.
And just in case Snyder actually wanted another sound, he would just have told Junkie at the beginning instead of firing him after he departed himself :-pCitation needed
Zimmer and Djawadi are nominated for Grammys this year along with Hildur,Alan Silvestri,Marc ShiecmanTom's score for Justice League was basically a mix of Mad Max and Deadpool. Zack wanted to go with a different approach for the score and make it more "fun" than serious. He didn't want a Zimmer sound for the movie.I noticed that the other day as well on IMDB. I know thatís not always reliable, but that would be awesome if he was involved. Iíve missed the ďfunĒ side of Zimmer for awhile. The next couple of years hopefully produce a number of Zimmer classics.Whoah Whoah Whoah Whoah Whoah. Whoah. Space Jam2?! You arenít serious.I hope this one will leak very soon! A lot of great music that isnt released

does this collection have the music from the theatrical trailer as well? It's called 'Ghost Rise' and it was done by joe webb/riptide music. I can't find it anywhere online but it sounds like this soundtrack collection has trailer music as well. Does anyone know if it's on there?

This score is fantastic! It takes a couple times to actually understand the music, but it is good. The only thing is there are several hinted melodies used in this score and the score for the Chronicles of Narnia. But it is still amazing, and used in a completely different way.

I give it a 20/10!!!

In the EXTENDED INTERNET EXCLUSIVE trailer for KoH, there is a nice selection that plays at about 1:10 in the trailer, right after David Thewlis's character says &quot--arise a knight.&quot-- Can anyone tell me what that is?

Thanks in advance.

Here is a link to the trailer (medium version for a quick download):

This is a bootleg album, which is:

- Can be a promotional album which was used by the composer years ago, maybe to give it to the Academy by "for your consideration".

- Or it was stolen somehow.

- But also can it mean that the composer gave it to someone, who copied to someone, and who put up to the web. ########

How can I get this album? I can't find it in any shops or similar.
is it avaliable for purchase or do I need to contact the film company?
Thanks!

@ Bou: That is a very impressive album you have there. I can't find half the stuff. I tried ripping some music from the DVD, but that never works really well for me.

On the bright side, I have the Recording Sessions, the OST, the Expanded (although the "End Credits" track geniunely sucks)... just trying to find a few more songs here and there. Because I'm OCD.

did someone noticed that there's a melody in the film that is also used in "Narnia"? in kingdom of heaven it's by 0:37:49 h. in Narnia it's at the end when the castle comes into view (soundtrack: Only the Beginning of the Adventure by 1:00 min)
just btw. ... accident or intension?

that's why i'd like to - at least - hear this 254min version to check that on the soundtack, too :D

I've got another version of this great recording session with the complete score on CD I and CD II and all the additional material on CD III.

My version has NO SFX :-) and includes some tracks of music which replased some music by Harry Gregson-Williams, maybe these are the tracks some of you are looking for:

King's fall (Patrick Cassidy)
Balin's Ambush (Graeme Revell)
Solesme (Jerry Goldsmith)
Befiehl du deine Wege (chorus)
Rannarm (San Anonio Ensemble)
Jesus meine Freude (chorus)

I've got a question, too:

From which movie is the Graeme Revell track?

Thank you!

Greetings from Germany!

Jack the track you are looking for is : Nunc Gaudeant Materna written by Hildegard of Bingen and performed by the women's voices of sequentia.
Have a look at my special edition , the perfect companion of the recording sessions as it contains all the material from the non-directors cuts version (including rare pieces not composed by HGW) :

Thom, it's not the only copy/paste of Kingdom you can hear in Narnia... ;-)

The Swordplay track running 1:46 is included in The Chronicles of Narnia. At the end when the little girl starts curing all the animals that have been made into stone, and we dissolve to sirens swimming and a castle in a hill in the background. Did you noticed it? It's the same music...

Does ANYONE know where the choral piece that plays RIGHT after the Squire rams the pick through the prisoner's skull can be found? I have the two disc, the retail AND the 3 disc recording session and I CANNOT find it. If ANYONE knows, please, that is my FAVORITE piece of score from the film, I have to find it.

I think this is HGW's best score.

From Japan

philip reply Replies: 0 || 2007-07-08 00:00:00
from having someone who worked on the film as a friend, can say this is definitely accurate as a mixture of all the music on the film. dunno how it got out like this though!
certain things match up - the 'eyes wide shut' cue is a pun on when one of the characters dies after the swordfight in the woods, and david thewlis's character closes their eyes, for example (it's in the right spot chronologically)
also one of the extra cues has what I think are the viols that are mentioned here and there in interviews about the score, so it's definitely real.

Rogue reply Replies: 0 || 2007-07-03 00:00:00
Additionally I was looking at the alternate tracklisting Axel posted - arn't those 'additional' tracks just the music thats was used instead of HGW's music in the film - Islam, Solesme, Epitah - these were all in the other extended release where the extra music was not HGW. For example - Coronation is just a part of Vide Cor Meum.

Which is why this version is the complete one - it is Recording Sessions - eg. HGW's tracks he recorded for Kingdom... not someone else's that his were replaced with.

Rogue reply Replies: 0 || 2007-07-03 00:00:00
I have these recording sessions and trust me - it is certainly not someone's mock up from released tracks/fan made.
An excellent release.

To those of you who are saying that this four-hour version cannot be from the film--yes, actually, it can. There was a four-hour Director's Cut released which contains all of this music. The surplus is simply comprised of alternative versions that never made it into either cut.

I'm sure this is a perfectly legitimate (well, as legitimate as it can get for a bootleg) score. I would be shocked if it were discovered that someone had actually wasted their time compiling different parts of Gregson-Williams's original score to make three extra hours of music. I'm sorry, but to assume that this occurred is ridiculous.

Dawn reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-14 00:00:00
Are you sure "France 1184" is a true score track from HGW, or is it (as I heard) a traditional song called "LE ROI RENAUD DE GUERRE REVINT" ?

Pretty hard to tell if it's score or not. But since none of the themes of the score are used on the track, and it's really different from the score's style, I think it's not from HGW...

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-14 00:00:00
Yes maybe it's a french traditional song... But it really sounds HGW... If it's not by him, at least he probably arranged this "Renaud de Guerre revient"...

;-)

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2007-06-13 00:00:00
I have the Director's Cut too...

Balansiya, I don't know where it is in the film, but I'm sure it's not the first track (which is actually France 1184 (not 1186 ;-))...

And the last "score" track in the film before the End Credits is Smelly Wood (there's unoriginal music between them)...
