I love this mix of old and new french music plus Marcs music is lovley and evocative of this region of france. Alos a great understated film amkes me want to move to france everytime I watch it.
The soundtracks chosed for this movie as well as the movie itself are wonderful ! especialy i like the track number 14, is amazing !!! proabably can be compare only with the clasics !
Thanks Hans Zimmer and Marc Streitenfeld !
does anybody knows, is there a long version of it? (long version i mean that part of the song "Le coin perdu" which can be listen here).
Track nr 13 Max-a-Million -central part- is absolutely a great composition to the ears of an Italian who has music in blood since generations. Me too, like others here, would have loved to hear it longer and longer, repeatevely... It reflects the atmosphere of the sunny golden afternoons of my childwood in the village where i lived the sunny days of my heart. Thank you Marc Streitenfeld.
The Score by Marc Streitenfeld was absolutely perfect tonight. My wife and I really felt like we were traveling through a world of love and passion. The score helped us to feel the sent from Italy. Beeing an unknown composer myself, I just felt I could have wrote this lovely score. Thanks for the music Marc Streitenfeld
Just something I noticed while watching the film - one of the parts within Streitenfeld's score (the waltzy bit) sounds very much like Harmony's Theme from John Ottoman's score for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. :)
I've found a "promo" of this score with this tracklist :
1. Max-A-Million (1:09) 2. Le Coin Perdu (1:00) 3. Wisdom (2:46) 4. A Forced Holiday (0:58) 5. France (1:32) 6. Henry's Spirit (1:45) 7. 72 Hours (1:25) 8. Testing The Vines (1:48) 9. The Offer (1:18) 10. Choosing Love (5:39) 11. "Il Faut Du Temps Au Temps..." by Makali (2:21)
Length : 21:46
Don't worry, nothing new here... That's just the official score tracks cut into smaller tracks (and I think put in the correct order), there's NO new music... ;-)
I'm glad to see that a fair amount of score was included here. The album is not mind blowing in my opinion but then it wasn't meant to be Gladiator anyway! ;-)
