Good Night, My name is Flavia, I live in Brazil and I'm getting married next year. I wonder how can I buy the sheet music from the soundtrack of the movie the holiday. I would like to play them in my wedding. It has a store in Sacramento, California, that sells these scores? I have a friend who lives there and who could bring to me. I await the return. My email to contact is: email@example.com Forgive me my English. I appreciate the attention. Good Night.
I know I'm not the first person who is desperately wanting to have piano sheet music for all the songs from the soundtrack to The Holiday. Any chance a book of sheet music will be coming? PLEASE??? Pretty please???
I´m also looking for it!
I'm looking for it too! Can't find it anywhere :( It's such an amazing soundtrack, I wish the sheet music was available...
Excuse me, but I do not speak very well the English, I am Spanish. Only I want to say to you that you are one of the best composers who exists. Yesterday I saw the movie " the holiday ", and I have decided to make your song Maestro in my wedding. Thank you very much for everything, good-bye. And merry christmas
The tunes Jack Black/Miles played on his keyboard (not piano ;-) ) in that particular scene were written by Hans Zimmer.
Zimmer also used these tunes ("Authur's Theme" and "Iris' Theme") in the film's score. So if you listen to the soundtrack carefully, you'll find these two themes appear in Track 20 & 21. Though they're not exactly the same as Jack played in that scene.
The words Jack singing along with Zimmer's tunes may be improvisation by Jack, or it may be written in Nancy Meyers' script.
@ Bucai, i think it's an improvisation by Jack Black himself.. However, you could try and listen to all the songs which are credited at the end titels. If the song isn't there, its an impro by Jack :) He's a very good musisian himself by the way!
