MoS, TASM2Badelt's "Solomon"?

This must be the "famous" Dark Knight reference that the "critics" are talking about.I could have sworn I had heard the Solomon theme and some of the same
Chords that Kraemer had used...
My mistake lol

And Balfe does seem like a genuinely nice person. Hell he even takes the time to put out unreleased music, not something most composers do.
That is exactly why I hate when people take personal jabs at composers (usually at Junkie XL for some reason). Itís fine to not like the music, everyone has different tastes, but donít criticize a composer for writing what he was asked to write.I agree! He actually invited me to come to a recording session in London for this film, man it killed me that I couldnít afford to go. But I was so thankful he even thought to ask! Top notch guy.Say what you want about Balfe but he's a really nice guy, and always answers my questions on FB and others on twitter.
I believe him as I didn't hear anything from Kraemer.I asked Balfe on Facebook if he used any of Kraemers theme and he said noI Know, Hybrid, just sayin' that i a fan of Benjamin Wallfisch's music Scores since lights Out to Blade Runner 2049 and i say this is another excelent Work from WallfischOne-worded track titles! Reminds me of early days of Media Ventures!

They sure tried real hard to keep spoilers out of these, didn't they? I suppose I'd take this approach over Latin or irrelevant names, though a little bit of pun and flavor wouldn't have hurt.So you can't wait to hear the score but you already say it's a great score ?

#inception
Another great score from Benjamin Wallfisch can't wait to hear the score & see the movie

Music By Benjamin Wallfisch
Additional Music By John Paesano & Adam Hochstatter
Orchestra Conducted By Tim Williams
Orchestrations By Peter Bateman & David J. KrystalWhy is people saying that Balfe kept some original music from Kraemer? I have listened to the whole score and I didn't found any quotes. Maybe in The Syndicate there is some kind of reference to Kraemer's theme but I don't really know.

And I have to say that I was expecting Balfe to shine on this one, but I ended up disappointed. There are some great action cues, and I like some things he does with the main theme like the use of choir, but the score as a whole feels like a reuse of many things I have already heard and ends up feeling repetitive and a bit boring.
And note that this is my opinion so don't jump into my neck saying this is the best score in the saga, because I think Rogue Nation is a really big step above this. I hope that at least it works in the context of the movie, which I suppose it does really well...Re-listening the score again...Ö.Have to say, Lisbeth Scott's beautiful vocals are definitely one of the highlights. She's amazing. On par with Lisa Gerrard.

Speaking of, what the hell happened to MV/RC guys incorporating female vocalists in their scores? I've always loved that approach. But it seems that it kinda went away......replaced by more and more sound design! So except for this score (and Steve's Your Highness) is there a recent big MV/RC score that actually features female vocals? Maybe I'm missing some...Ö..I was wondering that is there a Hans Zimmer library you need to license from Remote Control.

I kinda saw a composer's Cubase setup and he labeled one of his folders, HZ STR, HZ BRS, and HZ Choir.

Does Zimmer have a brass and choir sample library you need to have a license for?Easy now Mr. Anonymous, no need to be so superior.
I looked up that tracklist, and couldn't find 'Tai Lung Escapes' specifficaly listed, hence asking. Closest there is 'Shogun Mongol Prison', but it's too short to be the whole scene.

But I'll try to get a hold of that complete version somehow, looks super interesting.
Its just three short bursts of sound, really.Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention there's also a short track that plays when K walks through Las Vegas past the statues and beehives, but is not listed on the cuesheetIt should be noted that I think a few tracks like 'new model' are put together with the track that came before it on the CD.

Ossuary
Return to Sappers
Must Protect the Child
Bomb
Like a Real Girl
Luv in Apartment
Mesa Hijack

I think are the only real missing tracks, and some of them are pretty short anyway.I keep listening to "The Syndicat", which is what I assume to be the theme for The Syndicate. Honestly one of the better villain themes i've heard in a whileFlight has a new Andrew Kawczynski credit...We're getting there!

No need for me to say that I absolutely adore that score. Some truly amazing cues. I wonder though, are there any other Zimmer scores, or tracks, with heavy Western influences and elements? Aside from this and Rango...

Bondo2017-07-17 01:04:33
Listen to his unused Gladiator theme "Duduk of the North" and you'll hear some serious Western influences ;)

...2017-07-17 01:06:48
And Lone Ranger of course....

Patrick2017-07-17 01:11:03
...and of course "Parlay" in Pirates Of The Carribbean 3

JR2017-07-17 04:37:12
A bit of Western elements, you should also check :
- Thelma & Louise (action cues are Nice!)
- An everlasting Piece (a good jam session with a large variety of instruments, including Western influence)

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendations, folks. Off to check them out.

@ Sam, "For me... There is no difference between Comercial Released and This kind of Bootleg CD.."

Then you clearly dont know the score that well! The commercial CD is mixed (badly) in places and the cues are not standalone like on this edition.

Much appreciated! I always like knowing who wrote what and trying to figure it all out based on each composer's "sound."

@ Bondo

Some licensing sites are giving credits to Gregson-Williams for the Main Titles ("Brothers") along with Harper and Zimmer. That's everything I have about HGW on Broken Arrow.

I know for sure that Harper wrote the cues Boat (CD2 track4), Breaking Orders (CD2 track5) and Train Fight (CD2 track6). I know, the tracknames aren't the same... but the bootleg's tracklist is fanmade, not official. Boat and Train Fight are mixed together and named "Broken Arrow Suite" on one of Harper's promo.
And Harper is given credits for Breaking Orders on some licensing sites. It's fun to see he wrote many cues that follow each other, like if Zimmer told him "from reel #20 to reel #26, YOU write ALL the music". :-)
I don't know if Harper composed other cues.

Zimmer is credited ALONE on the following cues : "Desert Dawn" (CD1 track8) and Mine Shaft (*probably - due to the track name* CD1 track12, but could also be CD2 track1).

Hope it helps.

I have also noticed that there are a few cues missing on this bootleg, mostly from the scene with the nukes in the canyon, just after the crash. Not the best cues of the score, but enjoyable ones nonetheless.

@ Bondo

Besides writing additional music? Not sure, could be possible that he just wrote filler music - the songs that are like a 40 some seconds long.

Any ideas what tracks Harry Gregson-Williams worked on?

Great thing that this one has a proper good quality No FX version - IMHO it's one of Zimmer's finest action scores. Now only if The Lion King also gets a similar quality boot... ;D

Really good stuff in here. But I think they ran out of creative juice when it came for a tracklisting! hehe

It's a good score.
N.B. : The love theme from Scream 2 (theme which is not on the complete score 2 CD composed by Marco Beltrami) is in the score of Broken Arrow !!!

my favorite score. I have searched a lot for it and I'm not disapponted. Many adds by comparison with the commercial score. Amazing !!!

Yeah you try finding it! :P

Took me a while to get it and I did stumble on it through a friend but that was after I bought it. This CD is laser etched etc. and I got it pretty cheap! =D

Ah... Good old Broken Arrow. Nice find guys! I think you guys at HZ.com have come across a treasure vault of the former Media Ventures compositions, eh? You seem to find more no-fx soundtracks than ever before!

Anyway, don't tell me there are mono tracks in this one like TLK!! ;-)
