Well, Alan Silvestri first did Captain America, then The Avengers. So it's not always people involved with Batman.Why is it always Batman composers who end up scoring films for different superhero characters? First Danny Elfman, now Hans Zimmer!Aye, many great masterpieces! Don't forget the instrumental Lion King score and the bittersweet anthem for Crimson Tide!It's probably Terraforming.I'll always get chills when I listen to The Burning Heart from Hannibal. Such an under-appreciated cue in HZ's repertoire. Or To Every Captive Soul. I enjoy that love theme just a tad bit more than Marry Me. That in no way belittles Marry Me for me, it's one of HZ's best themes ever. Other ignored cues, I believe, are First Ideas from Frost/Nixon, The Banker's Waltz from Matchstick Men (and the whole score for that matter), and really the whole score to Two Deaths (granted, that one's hard to find).
official webgame may contains a new score clip.<br>metropolismayhem.manofsteel.com/For me it depends on the style of the score - they would bug me in more "lyrical" scores (like Da Vinci Code, PotC 3), but they are great when it comes to the sheer force. :)+1 <br>"Marry Me" (and every reprise/variation of the Love Theme from AwE) is a wonderful piece of music. :)<br><br>... and don't forget "Show Me Your Firetruck" or "Journey To The Line". ;)Thank God! If there's one thing that bugs me it's synth horns. I don't mind electronics if they can add to the orchestra, but I'd prefer them not to replace it.Thanks Hybrid! :) Yeah, lots of samples, but sadly there weren't any RCP-sampled french horns. Those are always epic... :-)
Depends on the mood... ;)I know!!! The way the music kind of swelled when Gordon said, "They know. It was the Batman." and you saw them uncover the statue. There were manly tears, I tell you!I agree. Even though the last minute and a half was a blatant copy of the music used in the previous movie (see "A Watchful Guardian"), I for once didn't care (I usually hate it when a whole cue is copied exactly). The entire ending scene gets my emotions going every time. Especially when I saw it in the theater.I thought all the end music (basically the entire track "Rise") was just PERFECT. One of the biggest goosebumps i've ever had in a theatre (on par with Beckett's death in PotC) :pHybrid Soldier, since you're virtually famous, what Zimmer work is your favorite? :P
And 9:11-14:12 in "Rocket Away" from the Rock! :DA favorite of mine that hardly anyone mentions is The Burning Bush from The Prince of Egypt. It really conveys the presence of God.I like the theme a lot, too, Ds, and it made perfect sense to use it when Batman showed up in the tunnel (my favorite part of the movie) and when he saved Blake from the thugs, but when Batman said, "This isn't a car", we had just heard it in the previous scene. And when Batman appears out of the exploding building at the end, it sounds really forced.You guys are right. These are all AMAZING themes. Moving and addictive!<br><br>I'd add "Hummel Gets The Rockets" from The Rock and "All Of Them" from King Arthur.Marry Me is my favorite Zimmer theme and cue as well. Although all of the suggestions below are also great pieces. I'll throw in the main theme from Crimson Tide as well as practically the proto power anthem. Such an influential score.

But I'm still convinced that Jablonsky didn't compose any of those themes of MGS2. Besides, he's a failure of composer. Not even Transformers is his best work. He'll never be a great composer and will be behind the shadows of Harry Gregson-Williams, Nick Glennie-Smith and most of all, of Hans "God" Zimmer.

What the!? Solid Snake!!!? Of Metal Gear Solid 2!!!!!!? BY STEVE JABLONSKY!!!!!!!?

No way. Those themes must be composed by Harry Gregson-Williams. Can you tell me where can I find those themes?

PLEASE can someone explain to me these "bootleg" releases? Were these titles never published? Were these edits in in movies or TV shows, but never made available on soundtracks?

Dear Mr. Zimmer,
I am looking now a quiet a wile around to get from Steve Jablonsky the music ("--Trailblasing"--) without any success. I am involved as a volunteer at the Thorpe Camp Museum here in Lincolnshire (UK). Thorpe Camp used to be the base for the Dambuster Squadron during WW2. The Museum, staffed entirely by volunteers, has been set up to preserve the base and to celebrate the life of service men and women and the civilians who lived in the area. As volunteer (I am the Techie) we are creating an Information CD and we would like to include (on the begining -start CD) the "--Trailblasing"-- from Steve Jablonsky. We would give your company full credit for this. If there is a chance that you can give us the permission to use the music . My email Adress is ####
Yours sincerely
Harry Schmidt

Those scores have never been published. The tracks an that selfmade promo are taken from the End Credits of the DVD.

Antas, Webmaster reply Replies: 0 || 2005-11-21 00:00:00
Track 12 is not from Live from.. indeed

DL reply Replies: 0 || 2005-11-21 00:00:00
Where can I get the music from "--Live from Badghad"--? I have looked everywhere on the web, but with no luck. Also, are you saying that Extract 3 (Track 12) actually isn't from Live from Baghdad?

Levente reply Replies: 0 || 2005-11-13 00:00:00
Well there is a sad thing, the MGS 2 and the Pearl Harbor tracks are not new musics, only it were renamed, and was cut from the original albums. I still don't know how it was known that the music we here on this album was composed by Steve Jablonsky.

Mr Tweedy reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-30 00:00:00
There are tracks from Pearl Harbor here... are they new tracks, not featured on the regular release and previous expanded scores ? Or juste outtakes renamed ?

The cues from LIVE FROM BAGHDAD are "--fake"--. The first two cues from Zanelli's website and the other ones are taken from the DVD.

Angel reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-08 00:00:00
What the hell are the Metal Gear Solid 2 themes doing on that CD???

Antas, Webmaster reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-08 00:00:00
I really don't know -- Really curious indeed !!
Does it mean Steve took part on this score ?

Levente reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-08 00:00:00
Yeah Steve Jablonsky did some of the music of MGS2. According to Gregson-Williams they had a short time to finish the music, since Hideo Kojima asked them at the 11th hour.

Angel reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-08 00:00:00
Metal Gear Solid 2 score was composed by Harry Gregson-Williams , Justin Caine-Burnett &-- Norihiko Hibino.
I don't recall any Jablonsky participation on that score.
Is this some kind of an omen that Jablonsky WAS HIRED TO SCORE METAL GEAR SOLID 4?!?!?!?!?!?

Levente reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-08 00:00:00
Go to www.imdb.com or www.soundtrack.net and everywhere you will see his name credited to MGS2.

Angel reply Replies: 0 || 2005-10-08 00:00:00
I see...
If that's the case, I'm dyin' to hear those Jablonsky MGS2 cues!!!!!!!!!!
