What tracks did Nick Glennie-Smith and Rupert Gregson-Williams write? "Into the Battle" is credited to Trevor Morris on his website. "Saxon's Plan," "Woad's Trap," and "Face to Face Speech" sound like NG-S.
Sorry I can't answer your question, previous poster. But I just wanted to say this, That this is probably Zimmer's finest scores, especially this complete score! I have it and it is a joy to listen to! Thank you Mr. Zimmer!
I already own several Hans Zimmer soundtracks, and would like to (legally) download the King Arthur album. iTunes only has three cuts. Where can I do this?
Although the OST definitely had the best moments of the score, this one also has some great cues like "Woads Trap", "Face to Face Speech", "Into The Battle" and "Woads Charge". A winner, anyway ;-)
I love their songs of the films King Arthur, Gladiador and The Last Samurai, the tracks that I know. Mainly King Arthur, where the violins and the voices are very harmonious ...
This 3CD version you're talking about is a total fake. It doesn't contain any more real music at all. The extra music are just, like you say yourself, End Credits (ripped from the DVD, and with the exception of a slightly different variation of the song 'Tell Me Now' it's just a suite of the music used in the film), the trailer music (which again, like I've said before in other posts, have nothing really to do with the film or the score, it's simply just used in the trailer), the "Song Of The Excile" (see my post(s) below), and some 'alternates', which is just some fan made edits of the original cues !
There's a 3-CD-Set with all the music of the film on the first two CDs and the end credits, the teaser trailer and the theatrical trailer music AND SONG FOR EXILE AND SORROW on dics 3 and I'll get it soon :)
No, the name of the song is "Song Of The Excile", written by Caitlin Matthews.
In the film, it also have been mixed together with music from "Amergin's Invocation" composed by Lisa Gerrard & Patrick Cassidy. With 'vocals' by Lisa Gerrard. (Not Moya Brennan).
But I'm not sure of who sings the lyrics of the "Song Of The Excile" in the film...

There is no new music in the prologue of the director's cut. The music you can hear when we see the young arthur with his mother is in the track 08 Back To Hadrian's Wall.
Yes Per as I said, the prologue in the Director's Cut is longer, so there's more music... But I think you're right, that's probably just edited longer pieces of music... ;-)
