Could somebody please stop those conversations? We all know, that we desperately want a Complete Lion King score, and we do whatever is necessary. Now stop insulting each other! This is not the place to do this kind of stuff. Grow up!

Perhaps they wouldn't feel obliged to be hostile if you didn't antagonize them by calling them "inane" and acting as if you were above reproach...just trying to offer an alternative opinion.
I just hope they introduce lossless download purchases till then (if Disney ever plans to do it, praying for it), because from what I know currently Disney execs have decided to push off all score-only releases into digital download-only category. Yeah, it may be fine for quite some people who will say this is better than nothing (true to an extent), but personally I do not want to own my most favourite and beloved score of all time in the form of shitty VBR MP3s. I'm ready to wait more but I pray if they finally do release it then it's in the best possible quality and really complete (no more missing score). Or at least fingers crossed Disney eventually lets another label do a limited number of CDs at least.
Currently I guess we wait for the petition to get about 3000 signatures. Long wait, I know, and no guarantees of working - but for what it's worth, it's worth trying.

I just checked--the petition has around 1527 signatures, but that's probably not enough to get it sent off yet. No release date yet; we'll just have to wait, I guess.
Knowing Disney, they'd probably want to release it at a time when there would be a particularly high demand for it. Every time there's a 10th anniversary, 20th anniversary, or later they seem to take advantage of it and rerelease the dvd for a limited time before it goes back into the "disney vault." I was hoping that they'd release the score in conjunction with the last dvd edition of The Lion King, but for some reason they chose not to. We may have to wait until 2014...
I came up with a short story about a guy who was planning on breaking into the disney vault just to steal Hans Zimmer's complete recording sessions for the Lion King. His plan failed when he realized to his dismay that the vault was no more than a metaphor used to inflict a feeling of urgency upon the American population, so that people would rush out to give disney more money for a dvd that they already own.

@ mgbube, thanks for your answers! quite clarifying. What I mean by interpunction, I meant punctuation. I presumed it would be the same in my language with a little difference... sorry about that! But punctuation is use of comma's, dots, question marks etc... Without those, a sentence can be understood wrong or completely be misunderstood. The thing I always was surprised about is when I read your sentences and put it punctuation myself, your sentences were almost always correct. That was my biggest question actually, why not using punctuation but make (almost always) correct English sentences?

You watch YOUR mouth first, dude. I can tell you that it does exist. Obviously - the bootleg on this page is an incomplete and improperly ripped version of the recording sessions.
Fine. FYI, my original post was in reply to Ele's question about whether this bootleg is the best existing "unofficial" complete version out there, so I mentioned the recording sessions. I already explained why it's real. I don't have it yet so I don't know where it is to be found (this board is not for that purpose anyway), but it exists for sure or we wouldn't have this bootleg in the first place. I too am hoping it surfaces sometime soon in the best quality.
And I'm not "stepping on your toes" or "spewing" anything here, so call that off.

Allegedly there's a real recording sessions version, running around 2 hrs and having a lot of alternates and all the film's score in true stereo and real lossless, but as you can see it hasn't surfaced yet. Fingers crossed that that day isn't too far off, though.
It's the best version out of all the ones listed here, but that doesn't mean it is satisfying. The music itself is magnificent (especially the segments that were not on the commercial release), but the sound quality, for the most part, is CRAP. It really detracts from the listening experience. Almost all the tracks have also been "slowed down" to make the CD look like it has more music, and they are about 10-15% slower than the original recording.
