Air and Science and Religion from Angels and Demons, Heart of Davy Jones.Well, Alan Silvestri first did Captain America, then The Avengers. So it's not always people involved with Batman.Why is it always Batman composers who end up scoring films for different superhero characters? First Danny Elfman, now Hans Zimmer!Aye, many great masterpieces! Don't forget the instrumental Lion King score and the bittersweet anthem for Crimson Tide!It's probably Terraforming.
I'll always get chills when I listen to The Burning Heart from Hannibal. Such an under-appreciated cue in HZ's repertoire. Or To Every Captive Soul. I enjoy that love theme just a tad bit more than Marry Me. That in no way belittles Marry Me for me, it's one of HZ's best themes ever. Other ignored cues, I believe, are First Ideas from Frost/Nixon, The Banker's Waltz from Matchstick Men (and the whole score for that matter), and really the whole score to Two Deaths (granted, that one's hard to find).official webgame may contains a new score clip.<br>metropolismayhem.manofsteel.com/For me it depends on the style of the score - they would bug me in more "lyrical" scores (like Da Vinci Code, PotC 3), but they are great when it comes to the sheer force. :)+1 <br>"Marry Me" (and every reprise/variation of the Love Theme from AwE) is a wonderful piece of music. :)<br><br>... and don't forget "Show Me Your Firetruck" or "Journey To The Line". ;)Thank God! If there's one thing that bugs me it's synth horns. I don't mind electronics if they can add to the orchestra, but I'd prefer them not to replace it.
Thanks Hybrid! :) Yeah, lots of samples, but sadly there weren't any RCP-sampled french horns. Those are always epic... :-)Depends on the mood... ;)I know!!! The way the music kind of swelled when Gordon said, "They know. It was the Batman." and you saw them uncover the statue. There were manly tears, I tell you!I agree. Even though the last minute and a half was a blatant copy of the music used in the previous movie (see "A Watchful Guardian"), I for once didn't care (I usually hate it when a whole cue is copied exactly). The entire ending scene gets my emotions going every time. Especially when I saw it in the theater.I thought all the end music (basically the entire track "Rise") was just PERFECT. One of the biggest goosebumps i've ever had in a theatre (on par with Beckett's death in PotC) :p
Hybrid Soldier, since you're virtually famous, what Zimmer work is your favorite? :PAnd 9:11-14:12 in "Rocket Away" from the Rock! :DA favorite of mine that hardly anyone mentions is The Burning Bush from The Prince of Egypt. It really conveys the presence of God.I like the theme a lot, too, Ds, and it made perfect sense to use it when Batman showed up in the tunnel (my favorite part of the movie) and when he saved Blake from the thugs, but when Batman said, "This isn't a car", we had just heard it in the previous scene. And when Batman appears out of the exploding building at the end, it sounds really forced.You guys are right. These are all AMAZING themes. Moving and addictive!<br><br>I'd add "Hummel Gets The Rockets" from The Rock and "All Of Them" from King Arthur.

I watched the movie again recently (great stuff) and I had never noticed before that a few of the cues were arranged somewhat differently in the film ("To the Roof" has electric guitar not on the album, "Gathering Data" has an extended ending, "Berlin Foot Chase" is somewhat extended, etc...).

It's a great score from Powell that makes the movie all the more enjoyable, as well as the best Bourne score, in my opinion. Although it's too bad the Hotel Brecker music (heard when Bourne is looking up info on Neski and when Pamela Landy visits Abbott) is not on the album.

I know! It was even re-used in Ultimatum, but wasn't on that album either! :(

Yes, maybe theres isnt too much NR music from Ultimatum, but i just want End Credits with new "To The Roof" variation :)

Ravi Krishna reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-13 00:00:00
I think the Ultimatum complete score isn't out yet. But I think there isn't too much music missing from Ultimatum, because quite a lot of cues from Identity and Supremacy were reused for it.

Ele reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-12 00:00:00
By the way, is there a complete score for Ultimatum?

Ele reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-12 00:00:00
Yeah, the complete score is really good :) Goa Chase rocks as well, but too bad its just another "Waterloo" from Ultimatum, although its better

Ravi Krishna reply Replies: 0 || 2009-10-12 00:00:00
Yup, it's great to listen to the Goa Chase music in its full glory now! :)

I listen to this music almost every night. It really touches me like no other music, ever. I can feel every note!

Thank you.

To me this is an utterly awesome soundtrack. I can listen non-stop without getting tired of it. Powell has mixed together so many different parts to create a piece of music with so much going on. I can't get enough of the bourne music. He brings together both emotion and adrenaline with the most successful consequences I have ever heard in film music. Other Powell soundtracks such as Paycheck (rachel's party) provide similar effects but never to such a high standard. Thanks, John, this music is wonderful.

Thank you Anthony! I guess, I won't have another choice but following your instructions. I was already wondering about doing that but still hoped to find another possibility to get the song in CD quality...
Anyways, great site you built up there ;)
Cheers!

I agree Horst, for that music to be missing is a crime against nature. Take a look at the FAQ on my site for info: www.johnpowellcomposer.com

Also love this movie and the soundtrack!!
What I was surprised about is that the song appearing during the chase in Goa and once again in the end titles after Moby's Extreme Ways is missing on the soundtrack.
Does anyone know why and where you can get it?
Besides To The Roof this is the best song played in the movie and just totally missing on the soundtrack... :'(

All I want is the full song, is that too much to ask.

FUCKKK

Anthony reply Replies: 0 || 2007-08-11 00:00:00
Yes, because posting the full song on this website would be illegal.

Now go buy the thing off iTunes or something. It's under $1. :)

"Because you are providing a download that does'n exist".. does that deliberately make no sense at all?

This site is a fucking shit, because you are providing a download that does'n exist. Thank for nothing

Yes yes, John Powell doesn't conduct. Hardly ever, actually. He said so on the Supremacy DVD - there's a special feature alllll about the music.

Anthony reply Replies: 0 || 2007-03-20 00:00:00
Despite what is written above, Powell did not conduct the orchestra. As per usual it was Pete Anthony. :)
