Aw Hell...

I guess it never did freeze over.Sorry, I should've been more specific. This is a comment I had originally posted on the Filmtracks forum, NOT from a Christian Clemmensen review. My bad.Referring to the previous comment (how did it not reply to the the previous message?)That's not the actual review. The length is a pretty big giveaway. Also, I'm fairly certain he's still given some RCP efforts some good scores.WOW....color me impressed at Filmtracks. I thought that site was anti-Zimmer in all aspects far, wide, near and dear.
Copied from Filmtracks:

Excellent score - a little slow in the middle third*, but some really stirring fantasy-adventure elsewhere. "The Internet" is Cue of the Year material. Although it's odd how little synth there is here, particularly in the finale, where the orchestra seems to completely take over; this isn't too bad of a thing because Jackman's orchestral skills are downright breathtaking at times. The references to other Disney scores/musicals (yes, including Star Wars) left a big dumb grin on my face.

*I get the sense that this movie might be too long (1 hour and 52 minutes). No you're not. I think Jackman has made some great score over the last through years.
And I think this is one of them. Both tracks with or without electronicsSo I guess I'm the only one who likes less-electronic-Henry?Henry has been removing electronics for 4 years now...Listen to

A Big Strong Man In Need Of Rescuing.

That whole track is a damn easter egg
I haven't seen the movie yet but I like the score more with each listen. Not a classic Zimmer by any means but still an enjoyable listen at its short running time. Looking forward to the movie as well. This is me or Henry Jackman removed the electronics this year it could be affect to the predator score because I was thinking about the predator score affect him to remove electronics and turned serious & dramatic. That's weird when Henry Jackman used a lot electronics & fun since 2009 to 2017 with his scores. The Henry Jackman I know died out after Civil War and Kingsman 2. After that you can hear faint fizzles of his electronic greatness, but nothing more.

But hey maybe he just doesn't wanna do that crap anymore...so..eh.Hard to believe this is a follow up to Wreck-It Ralph. Did he remove the electronics from this one too? Sounds too serious and at times dark and dramatic for a kid's movie score. Whatever happened to the fun?Imperial March and Luke's theme are in it!
Widows is actually a pretty interesting score. Not one of Zimmer's best from for an isolated listening experience standpoint, but as a textual score, I was engaged for the most part. The score effectively builds momentum throughout from beginning to end and I could feel the movie just by listening to the music.Tracklist:

01. Imagine Dragons – Zero (3:32)
02. Sarah Silverman, Gal Gadot, Cast – Ralph Breaks the Internet – A Place Called Slaughter Race (3:28)
03. Julia Michaels – In This Place (3:21)
04. Karol Sevilla – El lugar (3:21)
05. Best Friends (2:53)
06. Circuit Breaker (2:22)
07. Pulling the Plug (1:14)
08. On the Rooftop (1:04)
09. The Big Idea (1:16)
10. The Internet (2:47)
11. Overnight Sensation (2:52)
19. Separate Ways (1:04)
20. Vanellope’s March (0:46)
21. Desperate Measures (1:20)
22. Don’t Read the Comments (1:49)
23. Growing Pains (1:35)
24. Alan Menken, Phil Johnston, Tom MacDougall – A Place Called Slaughter Race (Instrumental) (3:28)
36. Alan Menken, Phil Johnston, Tom MacDougall – In This Place (Instrumental) (3:20)And top gun:maverick....big 4Yeah seriously, he hasn’t done much in a year plus. He’s definitely taken some time off for touring and other things, which may be a great thing for his inspiration... who knows, but I’m guessing the time off has let his brain take a break and maybe he has a ton of new ideas for the big 3 (WW:84, Dark Phoenix, Lion King) coming up in the next year and a half.

Or maybe I’m just hopeful/wishful thinking lol.Plus, Blue Planet II came out last year. That score is as far from Widows as possible.

"Woud to Ruin", "Budget Meeting" - this is the best of Hans Zimmer, this is the best music I ever heard, this is the best music in this world

Great music, as always from Hans Zimmer, I like it a lot! it's a shame the song of exile wasn't recorded on the CD, still a great soundtrack!
I am looking forward to every new film featuring Hans Zimmer's outstanding soundtracks!

@ Vladan Gecin:
I hear you, would like to know the orchestra that played the soundtrack as well and King Arthur isn't the only one where it isn't named. However, I think in this case it was the Lyndhurst Orchestra.

The best part of the movie is that song "we will go home", its so dramatic, inspiring, and touching..that song made me realize that the place i belong is a haven..

Firstly, I love thie score and is perhaps my favorite Zimmer score because it has every dynamic possible. The heartfelt, moving, powerful, epic, battle sequences, every cue is filled with a new adventure. Plus the cello solos by Martin Tillman are, IMHO, some of the best in movie soundtracks to date! But now to my question, could someone tell me which tracks those that are credited with "Additional Music" helped on? For instance, which tracks did Trevor Morris help with?

Has anyone ever heard of the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter? I thought Hans Zimmer would be a great composer for a possible movie even before I heard this. Keep up the good work, HZ!

In response to "Me": scores like this are mostly a group effort, but they put Zimmer's name on it because it's simpler and more people know his name than they do his associates. I respect independent composers as well, but if you don't like Remote Control's work, then don't post here.

why is it impossible to find the track "Song of Exile" anywhere on the entire internet? If that song is made only for King Arthur, why isn´t it on the CD? Please give me an answer

corrcting arreinh, in one of the lines and the ending of the song:

We will go home across the mountains
We will go home, we will go home
We will go home across the mountains
We will go home singing our songs
We will go home across the mountains,

and the ending is

When the land is there before us
We have gone home across the mountains
We have gone home, we have gone home
We have gone home singing our songs

That's why people think that Hans Zimmer is not a good composer, look how much additional music: Nick Glennie-Smith, James Dooley, Trevor Morris. Rupert Gregson-Williams, Blake Neely, Lorne Balfe.
A good composer do the job without help, like Alan Silvestri, Christopher Young, Robert Folk....

Mrs. Matthews, I was interested in getting a copy of the original lyrics to the Song of Exile and I went to your website as you suggested to contact you but it stated you weren't accepting e-mails for the moment. Are you unable to post them in a public space? Thanks.

Caitlin Matthews reply Replies: 0 || 2008-09-09 00:00:00
The lyrics given below for Song of the Exile by myself as given in Areinh's email are NOT my lyrics. They are something the poster of that email has created. If you wish to receive the correct lyrics to my Song of the Exile, you need to contact me via www.hallowquest.org.uk. Since my copyright situation is so difficult - and for information, Disney threatened to scrap the scene with my song from the King Arthur film entirely unless I signed over my copyright - I am happy to send these details to individuals by mail but I may not post them on line. I have recorded the original Gaelic version of the song (with the traditional Gaelic lyrics, though not the lyrics I wrote specially for this tune especially for the film) on a new album which will appear in 2009 called Earth's Own Heart with R.J.Stewart. Available from my website hopefully from Spring 2009 onwards.

I dont know if was a simple error or a coincidence to discover Hans Zimmer as a best composer but now I can say only one thing: NEVER another composer will be more good as him and that because his music express something, and now after a few years listening all days music from Hans Zimmer, I can say I recognize his style in each movies.

I dont know if a thank you from me can appreciate all your work but your music give me more great days, I listen your music everywhere, at my workplace or in free time, I tried as much as possible to buy your music and I found some albums...

Best regards for Zans Zimmer and all my appreciation
