Just want shrike death cue!I feel as though Menken did a bit more to differentiate his 2017 Beauty and the Beast from the 1991 one. The major pieces like "Prologue" and "Transformation" were left relatively intact but otherwise the rewrite was a bit more substantial than what Zimmer and crew did here. Compare the final battle music from the original (which consists to a large degree of upbeat instrumental versions of "Be Our Guest") to the remake (which is largely serious, straightforward orchestral action music). I haven't heard his new Aladdin so I'm not sure what the old:new ratio was there.

I'm not necessarily complaining, this is basically what I expected the score would be from the moment it was announced. The problem lies deeper, with the entire premise of these pointless remakes that allow very little wiggle room for freshness or creativity. Of course, I have no doubt this movie will make north of a billion dollars and give the Disney execs further license to print money. Maybe by the time they've remade every single film in their vault enough time will have passed that they can just start from the beginning again and nobody need ever be subject to the indignity of an original story ever again.It's a variation of the theme Anthem from the first Top Gun film by Harold Faltermeyer.whats the name of the song being played in this trailer?
is it available onlineThis is the perfect companion piece to the original. It is like the high level concert version that Zimmer never did with the original Lion King.
Is there any form of chronological order to the original with the deluxe tracks?Looks like your wish was granted ;)
It's out for me and "Ask The Sea" is exactly the cue I wanted :D It's so good! I actually tweeted at him asking if he'd consider including it in the release - he didn't react to my tweet then and now I wonder if he read it or he planned to include it all along.

I've only seen the movie once and I haven't listened to the score much so I need to revisit it soon.Thanks, that's great!!

Hooe those sessions will be here soon. Still a lot of music music. Would have liked it better if those remixes, were actually score tracksMera Montage is the big rock vocal cue used during the Sicily Battle & the Wine scene.

Home Invasion the opening soldiers barging in to capture Atlanna, as well as a part of the Black Manta / Orm negotiation scene.

Saving Pops is... the saving pops scene...

Ahab Wave is the tsunami scene + and when Aquaman arrives to the sub to fight Manta's gang.

Ask the Sea is when Aquaman refuses to help Manta's dad.

Olbigation is the soft piece in the plane when Aquaman & Mera talk.

Dunes is the comedic Dunes slide scene...
I just want the Sicily Battle music!Having seen it I can say visually it is incredible, definitely a work of art on that level. What sets it back (for me personally) is the lack of a strong emotional core. The choice to make the animals realistic looks great, but doesn’t have the same range that the hand drawn version had in terms of giving the animals the facial characteristics like the original. Soulless might be kind of harsh, but I didn’t feel anything throughout. Also doing a shot-for-shot remake probably wasn’t the best approach.

Musically though; this definitely was a great reminder as to why the original score is still a classic. Like everyone has said, it’s a perfect companion piece that actually fixes some minor flaws and fleshes out some ideas much better. Some important cues missing though.“Ask The Sea”
Oh please be the cue I want...Deluxe edition releases tomorrow
http :// filmmusicreporter .com /2019/07/18/aquaman-deluxe-edition-soundtrack-to-be-released /Didn't Menken do much the same with Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast? I think the only ones who have been the most original with the scores to these remakes have been Danny Elfman and John Debney.

My personal view is this serves as a great compliment to the 1994 soundtrack, not an outright replacement. If you combined the two you'd get quite the meaty soundtrack.

As for the film itself, I highly doubt it will be as 'great' as the original, but that's not to say that it deserves the slating critics have given it either. I personally can't say - I haven't seen it yet.
Recently in China, a movie was released called Looking Up, and the soundtrack was released with Steffen Thum's score and main theme/additional music by Lorne Balfe.I have to agree. It's a stellar score and I love it, but it was written 25 years ago, nevertheless.
Still, credit where credit's due, as you mentioned, the new 'Stampede' is a beast of a track, really added to the original, as well as the 'Battle' cue, awesome stuff for sure.
Haven't seen the movie yet, but I really hope it measures up, at least in the same way the score does.Most of it sounds like a high quality youtube remix to me, honestly. it's serviceable but unnecessary.Probably Zimmer, in 1994. It's part of the demoes he included on the Legacy set so I'd say it's a safe bet.panpipes or flute doesnt matter, i just wondering who composed this :D

instead of putting a petition out in the world to get the second cd of "Dark Phoenix", how about a petition to get the complete score of this here?

would love to hear all those cues, zimmer at his best...

Babe2019-07-05 21:07:56
Dark Phoenix >> Tears of the Sun!

timothy2019-07-07 13:01:10
interesting how crazy silent it becomes, when someone talks about the complete score of this movie here <.<

Mr Tweedy2019-07-08 22:37:35
I agree this score deserves a complete score release, but it seems very unlikely. The movie isn't iconic enough, and the score, though excellent, is considered by many as a lesser effort by HZ, unfortunately.
Nonetheless, this is one of my Top 5 HZ scores.

At least we got this *almost* complete score as an unofficial release, and I'm fine with it.

Cercei2019-07-09 13:09:12
you've got this version with this tracklist above? i would be very glad to have this :/

and yes, movie is not that good, but is King Arthur any better? but the score is so much joy to hear at it. if a movie isn't popular, then just release the complete score as digital download. everyone would be happy

where is the score?

Lagrange2017-01-30 12:16:12
yup, floating around here and there. so it's just a matter of time until it's going to be "available"

Dawn2017-01-30 18:13:20
I think it's been here for at least 2 years !

reckoning2017-01-30 18:48:39
no, it was an expandend fan-bootleg with fake cues. this cue-list i haven't seen so far here. but i hope lagrange is right and someone will make this "available" soon haha :)

Per2017-01-31 16:17:09
This (this exact tracklist for TOTS) have been here at least since august 2015. Earlier it was a page with some old fake Hannibal version (as you also can see from the older comments).

joe2017-02-24 10:12:12
since 2015?? and everybody was silent and that for two years? damn man, i want the complete score :(

Lord Eddard Stark reply Replies: 1 || 2015-03-17 15:07:44
"Victim" and "Adagio" are music by Frédéric Talgorn

Dawn2015-03-17 21:08:12
This is because this so-called "expanded score" is a fake !

They added unrelated tracks in order to make it look longer than the previous release. Forget about it !

Anyone notice the mp3 "Extract" available on this page to download sounds remarkably like a clip from John Williams' "Star Wars"?? Just a thought... but I'm 99% sure its NOT Zimmer.

I'm no expert, however, I own this "edition" of Hannibal, and it contains music that is NOT Zimmer. #6 Victim and #8 Adagio are NOT Zimmer. Any person with a slight ear for music can tell, it's just not his style, and it is different then the entire sound of the rest of the music. These 2 tracks are from Steve Jablonsky's 7-track collection of Hannibal Alternate Tracks. I own this as well.

#1 Kyrie on Disc 2 is "Let My Home Be My Gallows" from the Original Release of the soundtrack. Not a new track. #3 & #4 on Disc 2 seem to be the same piece of music as "Kyrie" without the dialogue, though together they run roughly 30 secs shorter. There are subtle differences however and it could just be an alternate track.

#2 Shadow on Disc 2 is "Frienze Di Notte" from the Original Release as well.

Like I said, I'm no expert, just a lover of Zimmer's music and thought I'd share.

OK listen (or read lol) carefully :

Take Hannibal OST...

The only real unreleased tracks you can find are :

Bring Him Home (1:27) (Zanelli)
Scent Of Lecter (1:06) (Zanelli)
Lecter Kidnapped (1:55) (Jablonsky)

Coming from GZ & SJ's promos...

That's all...

Clay reply Replies: 0 || 2008-03-15 00:00:00
Does anybody know which tracks from here aren't from Hannibal?

And is it "Kyrie" just the sum of "Let me Home" and "Be my gallows" (which are supposed to be only one track)?

Jim reply Replies: 0 || 2008-02-23 00:00:00
Why fake?

Hybrid Soldier reply Replies: 0 || 2008-02-23 00:00:00
Cause all the parts with SFX from the OST are simply cut (they are not here without SFX)...

And there's music not from Hannibal in this "release"...

Jim reply Replies: 0 || 2008-02-23 00:00:00
Oh putain! Ehm...sorry.
Thanks for the info. Can you give us more details? I saw that 4 expanded came out and I don't understand which ones are real or fake.

Thanks in advance
