I think that this song should be sung with syllables from the heart, as it is now. A song with such beauty doesn't really have words that can describe it. Its best to let the listener visualize and experience what feelings and emotions the song is very effectively conveying.
An inspiring song, when i hear it the sounds she sings sound familiar, she claims that we all have the ability to speak this language, and that as children we can speak fluently in it, i wonder if that's why it sounds familiar.
it's a beautiful song that touch my heart every time I heard it,but I think it's written in Hebrew because there is the word "shalom" that's mean peace so just a thinking ;)
She sings in Glossiola or however it's spelled it's a childs made up language in other words she makes up her own language. She did this with Dead Can Dance as well with her movies. There are a few songs she does sing in Armenian. It's funny the mis-information on the web.

oh my god please inform us of the englishly translated (dont care how loosely) "now we are free" lyrics. its actually killing me. as lovely as it sounds in whatever language it is (cant remmber the name of what it was supposedly written in- a combination of many if i remmber correctly) i (and MANY others) would LOVE to know what the true meaning of the words were. I heard that it was gutter Latin, the Latin the ordinary people would have spoken. Apparently the Latin we have now was book Latin, used by scholars and so on.
