Do you know who will help Hans in Dune? I would like to see Hans, Lorne and Mel again. Dreaming is free...So Fleming and Mazzaro will help Hans, will someone else help him?I'm wondering, too...!

Looks like amazon's app store still has it, but the internet tells me there is a z+ version to some other soundtracks...?
Where can I buy this remix? Seriously, the music in the trailer is awesome. Any chance we will see an official release of the trailer track soon? @Hybrid

@Hybrid

Is he finished with the score?

Also, any words on Spongebob? Is he still doing this?
Epic Trailer Music | Film Music

0degreestudios.comYour welcome.https: // seven-worlds-one-planet-original-television- soundtrack/1490808744

Deluxe Version expected January 17th!Hi all - I know this is the Europe site but any thoughts on whether he is touring the USA in 2021? Love to book tickets in Europe but it would be far cheaper in the USA.Thank you! :)
Well, WW was a much more difficult project than Aquaman...

He had a lot more freedom on that, and started fresh.

As for WW 2, Hans just said it's a very different movie/time period, so he started "fresh" too !@Hybrid

And honestly Iím ok with that. RGW did a fantastic job with that score, but I would be lying if I said I thought the themes were anything special. I think he did a much better job with Aquaman in terms of creating memorable tunes and developing the ideas. No, don't expect anything from the first score to return.Good to know. Hybrid do you have any insight on this release?^ Lol yeah I guess you could count it like that.

Iím wondering if the template will be similar to Thor: Ragnarok, with electronics in the forefront but still utilizing the orchestra throughout. And the even bigger question; will any of RGWís themes return?
Yes, Tina Guo did record music for WW84. Although you could make an argument that since she was using an electric cello, that is "synth" music. ;)@mephariel
Even better, Iím hoping for a hybrid type score.

And Tina Guo did post a vid of her recording the WW theme a while back, not sure if it was specifically for this project but if it was it sounds badass!I assume more concerts will be scheduled... looking forward to seeing BARCELONA in the list, please! :)It'd be awesome if Hans and co. went the Thor: Ragnarok route and created some kickass psychedelic synth ballads. I'm interested to hear how they interpret their WW theme for this setting. Is there a date for Lisbon, Portugal?
Thank you

Finally had a chance to listen to this. It's a good score, and I have to say Zanelli did a REALLY good job painting with JNH's colors, so to speak. There is surprisingly not that much direct quotation of Maleficent's themes but the stylistic imitation of that score and of JNH's style is on point. The choral and woodwind writing is especially lovely (it's rare to hear this many woodwinds in an RCP score) and the whole thing feels very organic.

However, I also found it strangely forgettable. Lots of well-executed underscore cues but no lasting highlights really, and Zanelli's new themes don't exactly stick in my mind. The action cues kind of stop and start rather than establishing a consistent flow the way I like. So I'm not sure how much I will be revisiting this one in the future.

Just saw Maleficent 2. There is a lot more Newton Howard in the movoe than there is on album.
I actually can't really understand why they didn't include the reprise of The Christening (the dinner scene) & the finale in the movie.

Zanelli's score is wonderful and I love it very much. But would have loved this on album

After listening to the whole thing, I can say that, while not as great as Newton Howard, Zanelli did a great job in here, adapting the original themes as well as creating some new ones.

The first half of the album drags a bit, but the second half is really fantastic!

Mephariel2019-10-19 08:06:25
I only listened to the first couple of cues so it is too early to form an opinion comparing it to JNH but I disagree the first half drags. Maybe because I love tender themes.

Great work of Zanelli, if is not as good like JNH's Maleficent, is a tremendous work, with a terrific writing and orchestrations, even the most tender parts are terrific.

Zanelli is no James Newton Howard, but he did a fantastic job with writing a large scale fantasy score. Iíll even say that, while I think the first Maleficent is stronger overall, I personally like the action writing better here. Also 2 little things Iíve noticed;

1. The new theme here sounds fairly similar to the Father/Son tune from KFP3
2. 2:20-3:30 sounds like it may have been temped from the finale of Fantastic Beasts. (Or maybe Iím just crazy lol)

21. Hello, Beastie! (3:42)

Geoff Zanelli will be haunted by the specter of the PotC franchise until the day he dies, lol

Yeah lol one way or another... :P

I'm cautiously excited for this. Disappointed JNH didn't return but I trust Zanelli to do a good job here.

MrZimmerFan2019-10-10 11:29:45
I agree with you, Edmund, specially as a fan of JNH score

Andreas2019-10-17 16:19:21
Saw the film yesterday, the score relies heavy on JNH's themes and are used a lot throughout the film. Great choral work and a few standout action moments from Zanelli. For me this one felt similar as his approach to Dead Men Tell No Tales in case of using established themes.

mpolonest123 2019-10-17 16:22:55
JNH did such a great job with the first score, I honestly didnít expect them to return to the same themes. Super happy to hear this!

MrZimmerFan2019-10-17 16:36:20
From what i hearing from the samples, it seems Zanelli make a great score.

JBSO992019-10-17 16:47:06
Just listened to the first track, "Mistress of Evil", and Zanelli kept some of the themes from James Newton Howard!

I'm so happy about this and if the rest score is like this, it could be one of the scores of the year.

Really excited about the full thing!

mpolonest123 2019-10-18 14:39:05
Really fantastic writing here, definitely taking inspiration from JNHís style without trying to copy. And the adaptation of Maleficentís ďcurseĒ theme from the first score in ďThe PhoenixĒ is definitely a highlight.
