I remember the music working well in the movie, but I really need to listen to the whole thing separately. Any opinions on it from Powell fans?I agree. Though the album selection is pretty solid, those tracks you mentioned are definitely missing! It's criminal that Mr Charles, Strategy, and It's a Trap weren't included on the OST. I guess we did get It's a Trap as a bonus track, but it wasn't the film version.Well with that score we got pretty lucky in term of theme suites being released, with 5 of them. I don't know for sure if there's more but I think we have it covered.
Hybrid, do you know if any suites were written besides the ones that they released?“Our World” is a pretty amazing track, the “Murph” suite is also incredible just in how it gradually builds to that finale...Dust, Who's They, and Our World are other favorites, for sure. Our World is some fantastic ambient music. Before the film was released, I expected most of the score to sound like "Our World."Mountains too... The Tick Tock suite.<br><br>"Our World" is a fav' of mine too, how could they not release it ?Coward is amazing. Ntfc is overrated
Don’t forget Coward! :DI don't think Cornfield Chase is underappreciated because that is the cue everyone is talking about besides No Time for Caution and Mountains. The most underappreciated cue to me is Dust. The amount of mystery, wonder, and curiosity from that cue is amazing. The development of the music in season 2 is great.<br>Love the Westworld suite, a lot of Person of Interest in this cue :)<br>Listening With A Million Ears In the West :)Mike, I definitely agree with you. I think that Cornfield Chase is an excellent example of Zimmer's diversity in music. It shows that He can compose themes that are adventurous and light-hearted rather than being so dark, which is quite different from a lot of his works including his other collaborations with Nolan.
So everybody talks about No Time for Caution, and that is a great cue, but I think an underappreciated track from this score is Cornfield Chase. It sounds so whimsical and uplifting. It captures the wonder and fun of childhood really well. The fact that it's so driven by the pipe organ makes it even better. I love how Hans incorporated the organ into most of the tracks.Does Paul Mounsey secretly compose everything??? He seems to be involved in so many scores.Hi guys. Do you know who will compose the score of wonder woman 1984 ? Rupert again ? Or hans ?General Kenobi!Isolated score is coming:<br><br>https://twitter.com/chrismcquarrie/status/103052206820136140 9?s=19

another imitation game from Zimmer:

the first five notes of this theme (that's the most integral part of the theme anyway) is a DIRECT COPY of Andrew Lockington's Atlantis theme in Journey 2. You can find out here:

### EDITED ###

sad:(

Edmund Meinerts2018-06-11 13:52:09
Ha, I noticed that as well, but I doubt it was intentional. Besides, that Lockington theme itself is kind of reminiscent of Trevor Rabin's National Treasure...Originality is overrated anyways :p

Well, the link is DELETED why is that? Did i violate something? Is freedom of speech is no longer tolerated here in this site?

Sad :(

Damien, Moderator2018-06-12 20:25:18
Because your link was to a page where is written "I do not own the right of the music". So the guy that did that, did something he is not allowed to and clearly knows it but did it despite all.

I think you gave enough information on the piece you want to speak about for those that want to check to listen it.

Aldan, what you hear depends of what you love.
Personnaly, I hear the Final Fantasy 7 Main Theme Notes... But the style, the arrangement and this build-up construction is totally Zimmer.

Disappointing to see Zimmer write music for such a corrupt organization, but oh well :p

Hey circle jerking bots, this is a discussion forum. Every fucking comment is pointless. This is a place for people to discuss and give opinions. None of this is necessary for society.

By the way Hybrid, do you know how long it's going to take for the new site with accounts to be made? These bots really ruin the discussion and grind every conversation they're in to a halt.

The reason I'm sure they're bots or spam at this point is because they always do nothing but praise Zimmer and Lorne Balfe, no other composer, and half the time their comments are completely unrelated to the discussion. Just a chance to go after only Edmund (for some reason), or praise things with generic comments like "EPIC EPIC EPIC" or "Great to hear big themes".

Backbiter2018-06-10 17:06:48

I never understood the attacks on Edmunds's comments. Is everyone so braindead that they can't conceieve the fact that someone has a different opinion?

Maunsel2018-06-10 18:35:47
Zimmer does FIFA ! WOW now I will watch football
Hope he plays this life on the tour

Medigo2018-06-11 10:12:44
Sometimes a comment is made where I wonder what it even adds.

But Edmund is not really a problem. That 'Lorne bafle' guy on the other hand

Mike (OTM)2018-06-10 21:20:38
Same question! Is this confirmed?

Did Lorne actually co-write this one, or are the credits messed up, like with the Volvo prologue?

Great to hear big themes again from Zimmer

Awesome tune! Hearing HZ on lively, melodic and memorable music is always a treat. It doesn't really have the sort of "sports vibe" that I thought it might have given the title it carries but I absolutely adore how it has me picture "progress" and "achievement" in my head.
