The track is unreleased yeah, part of the movie's climax
chronologically it goes between Devils Anus and 'Asgard is a People'The Sierra Leone track Andrew K posted (link below)...I almost wonder if that's how 2010s Zimmer would redo The Lion King. More bass, more minimalist, more Interstellar...but still with an African flare.Horner and many others with Star Trek is a good example too.Huh. Well, the music Andrew posted is nice."Don't believe everything you hear, son."
what do you gyus think about this?

www . youtube.com/watch?v=9riigqWjovMHallo,

Der 'Gladiator' ist schon langsam in die Jahre gekommen, die Musik ist aber nicht šlter geworden. And btw he posted another 5 min cue on his Soundcloud, dunno if it's unreleased, there'll better specialists of that score than me !
Yeah, I happen to have seen the film and the score is not really "coherent", it's more like many different cues put together...Okay, thanks for clearing that up. The Tracks released were kind of interesting, a kind of mix of soundsAnyone else think Hans knew about all the studio meddling during pre-production, the rewrites etc and walked away ? I mean, when I heard Elfman's score I thought it was generic and wouldn't fit the movie. Then I watched the movie and it fits well. The movie is just as bland as the music in the background.I don't have to ask, that movie was a failure that barely got distributed... No one had any interest in releasing this score...Hybrid, did you ever ask Hans why this score wasn't released?
After watching the movie, I just have to say it was okay. It had some great moments but for me it had also many problems. And one of them was the music. For most of the part it wasn't even noticeable and when it was, it was like random background music with no really emotion or heart.

BvS and MoS movies can be criticized for some things but the score is not one of them. The movie gave the movie a strong and powerful side, as well as a heart and emotion into it. In this movie there were so many moments that needed different score.
***SPOILERS***
Superman's resurrection needed the MoS in full epic form. Wonder Woman at the bank at the beggining needed her theme with the electric cello in full power.
The Batman theme at the beginning when he is after that Parademon.
We should have a really memorable theme for the whole Justice League as well as for each individual member.
The scenes with Clark and Lois at the house in Kansas and when his mother sees him, this needed the piano theme from This Is Clark kent or something like that.
And that final moments with Superman opening his shirt showing the Superman logo and then flying to the sky, we needed something like "What Are You Going To Do When You're Not Saving The World?" or "Flight" and not that unmemorable music we got.

I really hope that the petition of the Extended Cut of the movie made by Zack with Junkie's music gets to be released someday, but for now, I'm disappointed.Sounds fun!!
Thanks for the linkAny ideas on the Chronological Order of the Tracks?
I made a start here...

Logos
Batman On The Roof
Everybody Knows - Titles
Wonder Woman Rescue

...
Icky Thump
Aquaman In Atlantis
...
1m1a Krypton (from Man Of Steel)
Spark Of The Flash
Friends And Foes
...
Come Together - Credits
Anti-Hero Theme - CreditsNo, they are the full score cues- as presented in the film. The presentation of the final three tracks on the first disc are edited down for timing.* I posted this at filmtracks and wanted to share it here as well.

Danny Elfman's comments are very disrespectful and so disappointing for a creative person to hear, especially for composers. Nostalgia is a big problem with Hollywood and it's a simple Jedi mind trick. It's slightly different, but the same meal over and over with different seasoning. Imagine if James Horner didn't get to write the score he wanted for Spider-Man? Or Zimmer had to use Elfmans Batman theme for the DK triliolgy or BvS? Or Shirley Walkers incredible Batman theme for Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Or Giacchino just used the original star trek theme, or the original Star Wars themes for Rogue One and created nothing new at all? How boring and uninspiring for the composers not being able to challenge themselves to create new original music.

Whether you like these scores or not isn't important, the pursuit to create something new is what drives a creative person and gives us freedom in choosing something to enjoy and not enjoy. I love the original Batman theme by Elfman but I love it in the Burton films. I love Zimmer scores for both the DK trilogy and BvS. I am happy I can enjoy both types of scores and films but there are those who don't and that's a great thing because that means we are not all the same and that brings variety of opinion and taste which creates real conversation and most importantly gives an identity to a project.

It's easy to go back to original ideas, but I respect the creators who actually take the risk and want to try and do something new. If Danny Elfman stands by his words he should have just used the original Batman theme from the Tv Show and film or the original Spider-Man theme. Oops he didn't and we got a whole new Batman theme and Spider-man theme which most of us love. Thank god he didn't stick to using the original themes. The Batman reboots and superman and Spider-man reboots are completely different takes on the characters and that's why they deserve their own new themes and soundscapes. The only time I think an original theme from a film should be used in a new film with the same characters is if it's actually a sequel or prequel connected to that actual original film. Re-boots should always have new original music.

In the end the comments from Elfman are simply stupid and uninspiring and it's definitely a hidden ego coming through I never new he had which is a shame. I remember what Zimmer said about Danny Elfman's Batman theme being a bit jolly, but that's not attacking Elfman at all, it's how he felt and heard the music and felt that that style wouldn't fit in the new batman films ect.. I have always found the original Batman theme a bit on the jolly side too and I love it because it nails Burton's take on the character and world. That theme is for Keaton's Batman, no one else's.

One final point, if we keep wanting to just revisit the past and hear and see the same thing over and over and not be challenged with new ideas, what a damn uninspiring and boring world of creativity we will live in.

All the best to you all!

I have to say, I like the presentation of the Electro Suite on here. I feel the original was perhaps too long and repetitive, and so to me it benefits from the shorter length.

Mike (OTM) reply Replies: 3 || 2017-11-04 17:56:33
This is the first official release of (part of) the Wayne Manor/Moody Bruce suite, isn't it?

Ds2017-11-07 20:31:03
Yes... except "officially" the TDK medley contains: Why So Serious? / Like A Dog Chasing Cars / Why Do We Fall / Introduce A Little Anarchy / The Fire Rises.
That's according to the booklet and the scene selection on the Blu-ray. And that's hilarious because selecting "Why Do We Fall" leads you right in the middle of the actual Like a Dog Chasing Cars, and "Introduce a Little Anarchy" leads you to the Moody Bruce segment.

They shouldn't have let the intern take care of the track list :-p

Hybrid Soldier2017-11-07 20:47:39
Not as laughable as POTC medley honestly...

They mixed up the Jack Sparrow suite with the film cue "Captain Jack Sparrow" and credited it to Hans & Trevor Morris... And credited the "One Day" as in the OST to Hans, Jackman, Gire & Sponsler while in fact, nothing from Gire/Sponsler is in that medley...

Who do they hire to do that ? Ask me ! I know my shit in cuesheet area ! lol

Michael Fields2017-11-08 05:44:10
But what about original suites for the third Pirates movie? I mean "New Love Suite" or "Marry Me" (written by Zimmer and Jackman). It's the same material, but slightly rearranged.

Waymann reply Replies: 2 || 2017-11-07 22:53:04
I listened to the digital version last friday and I didnít think much of it. I liked it but I wasnít blow away by it and didnít feel the urge to listen to it again over the weekend. But today I finally received the blu-ray and watched it in my home theater and holy damn... The Dolby Atmos track truly makes this an experience. Itís like you are in the arena and the sound quality is impeccable. Also this killer Dolby Atmos track accompanied with the footage of the concert truly brings this whole thing alive. I think the blu-ray is the best way to experience this concert (again). No cd or LP will do the same.

I didnít see this concert live but a few years ago I saw Hans Zimmer and his team play the Inception Medley live on the WSA concert in Belgium which was already an experience on itís own. This concernt is the closed to what I experienced back then.

Marts2017-11-08 00:05:57
Yeah, you have to watch it and feel it. Listening to the digital CD does not do it justice. The audio/visual quality is awesome.

Mephariel2017-11-08 01:40:21
I listen to all the tracks on MP3 multiple times but I agree with you that the quality is pretty disappointing. I thought a lot of the recordings were too soft. The show is amazing with the visuals.

Frank reply Replies: 7 || 2017-11-04 07:27:27
I got some questions after reading the booklet.
1. Why does James Newton Howard get credit for The Dark Knight music? I thought those pieces were composed by Zimmer alone.
2. Why does Ryan Rubin and Alex Gibson, two music editors, get credits for Interstellar?

Brent2017-11-04 08:20:00
James gets a credit because he co-wrote (almost) all the major themes of TDK trilogy. The only piece Hans truly wrote himself (at least to my knowledge) is the Jokerís theme. TDKR was the only film in the franchise to not have James a part of it (although his themes remain).

Hybrid Soldier2017-11-04 10:10:40
No, it's because technically JNH is credited on every single cue of BB & TDK. But the suite is HZ's music.

And on some projects Hans gives cuesheet credits for Music Editors, especially Nolan films (they will get something like 2% of each cue), so they are the ones appearing in Interstellar cuesheet.

MuroFilm2017-11-04 19:30:03
Why isnít Balfe credited ?

Mike (OTM)2017-11-04 19:38:27
He didn't do any of the music here, as far as I know.

Prague*

Marts2017-11-04 11:58:37
Well, they didn't know Lisa would perform really. She only did originally in NZ and AUS in 2017, this was a long time before that. Maybe they didn't even know they would tour in 2017, it's fantastic we got this show, if we got Lisa it would have been another year before it came out.

I like all the tracks, but there are a few that are my highlights!
- chevaliers de sangreal (just simply beautiful)
- The lion king (childhood memories)
- youíre so cool (love the theme)
- journey to the line (small, but powerfull with a dash of epicness)
- electro suite (i like the agression)
- interstellar (altough iím not very fond of the soundtrack)
-inception (time is my #1 track, what aan amazing piece of music)

Iím curious what your favorites are....

Marts2017-11-04 11:56:33
I have to say Pirates medley is my favourite, it's just epic and the violins are beautiful.

I like it all though. Personally Interstellar is my favourite soundtrack ever but it's a bit harder to do justice to it here without the huge organs. Lion King also, Lebo has such charisma and fills the whole place with energy!

Hybrid, will a deluxe edition for this album be released? I remember reading somewhere on a website that there would be, and I'm not sure whether to buy the standard version now, or wait for a month or two for the deluxe version.

Laurens2017-11-04 09:25:18
In the original statement they announced a deluxe edition but when pre-orders came about, they posted an additionel statement saying that they had mistakenly announced the deluxe edition. So Iíd think it wonít happen but of course you can never be 100% sure.

Hybrid Soldier2017-11-04 10:08:44
No Deluxe.

Can anyone tell me why the Prague concert was decided to be the one the footage was shot at? Is it something to do with the whole orchestra? I some versions of Hans's ealrier work I see reference to "The City of Prague Philarmonic Orchestra", does Hans have close ties with this orchestra and choir or is it just coinsedence?

Amazon.uk main description says that Blu ray is region A only. In detailed description you can find it is All regions. But All regions is usually used for DVD format. Does anybody know what is right? Region A only or Region free(all regions)?

Ds2017-10-29 10:00:11
Yeah, I think something weird is going on. On Amazon.fr, they sell the CD and DVD but not the Bluray anymore.
I ordered mine in a shop, I hope there won't be any issue.

Saw it now 3 times. In Mannheim, Frankfurt and toady at the Cinema. Really a fantastic show. Even in the Cinema it works really well. Thanks to Hans and the wonderful musicians for this great experience

dannyXXL2017-10-02 14:14:56
what was your favorite concert? mannheim, frankfurt or at the cinema?

Julian2017-10-03 02:18:13
My favourite was in Mannheim. The Mixing of the Sound in a Football Stadium, like it was in Frankfurt, is really hard. Sometimes you didn't recognize the Melody and the Mixing was bad. So i talked to other People there, if they had the same perception like me. And there were some people, who said, that they had the same feeling about the Sound. Later on, towards the second half of the concert, the Sound was good. But they needed some time to find the right mix for the location. So it wasn't a bad Concert and you also had the Highlihts with Trevor Horn and Lisa Gerrard but for the Mixing i prefer the Mannheim Concert in 2016. So for the Cinema. It's filmed in a classical Way. You don't have the experimental Concertfilm like Rammstein's Live in Paris Concert (you really have to see it) The Footage was very good. You get another point of view, another angles of the Stage and it was really interessting to see the people performing and how they react to each other. And also the Mixing of the Sound was really good. You noticed every Instrument in the right moment, really good job by the Producers. Overall i can say you should get the DVD or Blu Ray. It's a good Thing, if you missed the Live Show. But to be part of the Crowd in front of the Stage will always be the best way to experience Hans Music. And everytime i watched the show, i wanted to join the Band on the Stage and having a little Jam Session, even in the Cinema :D. So fucking great musicians and great Music.

Fizzbin2017-10-02 19:32:46
Itīs sad, that a lot of sources in the web are talking about, that the recording was made in June 2017. That was so wrong! And sad that Thelma & Louise was missing. But of course its a great show too. [And the best: I filmed for me the complete show at Frankfurt; with Trevor Horn,....and Lisa Gerrard] :)
