...but modernLalo Schifrin certainly didn't need Lorne Balfe to make him sound cool. Now that would be an interesting to hear what he could do with Star WarsModern and cool? Seriously Balfe is the reason why the theme works? Letís have balfe re write Star Wars to make it modern and cool.I think Balfe has to come back because Fallout was the first since Mission 2 the music worked. He made Laloís theme sound modern and cool.
It's out there.Reef 2: High TideSerenity going to be released next week<br><br>https:/ / www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KZGKX4K/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl ?ie=UTF8&tag=filmusrep-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativ eASIN=B07KZGKX4K&linkId=b932ee0afd97cf3be04f644cad294734I watched again and the "thickness" in some of the low end was in fact multiple kettle drums being rapidly pounded which in fact accounts for the excess reverberation and explains why it sounded muddy to me. I will have to get the "World of Hans Zimmer" recording that others are talking about and see if I like that one better.Personally, I do not want Balfe or Kraemer to return. I found Kraemer's score to be too restrained, and while Balfe's score is exciting, when I watched the film, I thought the music worn out quickly by the middle of the film. Too much of the same orchestrations. <br><br>I hope they go with someone new.
Please add some Interstellar, Man of Steel or Batman Begins to the 2019 tour..I was meaning in addition to stairs and rooftops is there any other segments that play that partI would rather Balfe do the next Bond.MI5 Rogue Nation was a completely breath of fresh air in the series. Thanks to McQuarry and of course Cruise. But also, Kramer take the music in a new level and for me it's one of the best scores in the series. Balfe elevate the music to the netx level. No one doubt is the best in the series, even Balfe took some motifs from Giacchino's scores. So if Balfe return it would be awesome hear what could be the next level in his music, but if Kramer returns, is sure he will take the music to all new level. One of the things Cruise take care in the series is the music, he has a good ear, so many people were surprised when he choose Balfe to score the film.I think that it's ridiculous that there is going to be a mission impossible 7 & 8. Hopefully, these are going to be the last ones and that they end on a high note. I do want Balfe back if they are going to make these films.
I liked Fallout but Rogue Nation is where it's at. I wish Kraemer could return :/@ Jason Stairs & Rooftops was a standard track not a bonus<br><br>@ Peter cruise wanted a different composer and director for every film so they all have a different feel. McQuarrie made history there as the first filmmaker to do 2 M:I filmsStairs and rooftops is a fantastic track.Does anyone know why Kraemer wasnít used?<br>I was at Admiralspalast on Sunday evening and I completely agree with what you wrote!Guys... he-he's not getting it...

I am enjoying this soundtrack a lot. Lots of very nice Middle-Eastern instruments and tone colours throughout. Only things that are holding it back from being as good as Uncharted 4 are memorable themes and no real orchestra (just orchestral samples). I understand that not being able to have the score recorded by a real orchestra is not Henry's fault, but it does detract from the overall sound and impact of the music (in a few areas). However, Henry does do a good job using other ambient sounds and pulses to cover up noticeably synthetic parts, which I think works well and is not too much of a distraction. A solid 3.5 / 5 from me.

Haven't had a chance to listen to this one. Are you saying the tunes presented on album are not recorded with live musicians? If true then that would come as a surprise as I see some names in the full credits above that are associated with orchestra recordings, including Gavin Greenaway as the conductor.

Yeah, I'm not sure why Gavin Greenaway is listed as conductor and there are a lot of credits associated with orchestra recordings, because I am almost 100% sure that the entire score is made from samples. If you aren't sure, have a listen to Track 8: Ambushed and at 0:48, tell me if those strings playing the melody line aren't samples! I would also suggest listening to Track 7: Gatekeeper (keep an ear out for the string resonance of the cello) and Track 9: The Tusk of Ganesh (listen for the high sustained strings on E above the piano theme). Those examples are the most obvious to me (in my own opinion). Overall, the score just has such a clean and precise sound (especially the percussion) that I am convinced no (or very few) live musicians were recorded.
