I have a question about a song from this documentary that is not on the soundtrack. Could anyone please tell me the track at approximately 47:35? Thunder is cracking, Pantani begins his attack on the Galibier, and Matt Rendell is there with eloquent narration. I got so swept up in the score at this point that I spent over an hour rewinding and Shazaming and looking up all of Balfe, Aruj, and Dworetsky's music I cound fine. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thaks,
SamThey all sound the same. Bland.So what do you think about the westworld competition and what is your most favorite entry?In sound quality (regardless of what certain peope might say about how great LPs sound; it's an analog format) the bootleg already trumps it I guess...I have the same question as well
It could be possible, but there would be too many seconds of overlap between some of these tracks for that to be a possibility in this specific case. I really hope they haven't cut down the tracks to fit on vinyl, otherwise the bootleg will trump it in terms of content.Maybe the different time lengths is due to tracks slightly overlapping each other (as in many HZ soundtrack releases)?Comparing the track times listed here, it seems (at first glance) that many of the tracks are edited down from the complete cues as heard on the bootleg. Could the listed track times be simply incorrect, or have edits been made to make the score fit onto four sides? I guess we can find out when the record ships in July.

Additionally, for those without a record player it sucks that a CD release was not possible for La-La Land. Whatever the reasons are for that, it's a bizarre situation that one independent label can release the same material on vinyl but another cannot on CD. Quite perplexing...@Hybrid, will you make the Scoob Page?Perhaps "The Cistern (Alternate)" is the album version. The music I heard in the film is not 100% the same with the track I heard in the OST.
Dang I cant wait to hear the Alternate 'Cistern' cueVinyl only...How dumb can you getLol, you’re right! I though that was Rambo III climbing the cliffs for a moment.LLL made MI 1 Complete. So they are trying to make MI 2 Complete. That could move Varese to make MI 3 Complete. But studio (Disney) don't want it.Use the Wayback Machine on Archive.org - it's all there! :)
@Zimson
404 not found dudeWhy would a studio allow a vinyl release but no CD or digital release? That's utter nonsense. Almost like they're refusing to make money.Any clue on where to find this Complete Score?.. and people wonder why there's "bootlegs" out there...Next time, we can expect a wax cylinder release... :(

This is a rather nice score. "I Like Her Numbers" is underrated.. very well scored in the film!

I know this was a “band-jam” score but I’m surprised at how much of Wallfisch’s voice I hear throughout. Mainly the chord progressions, I keep hearing the DNA of It and Bitter Harvest with a dash of Peter Pan.

As for the score itself, I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to give this a full listen. The mix between orchestral/electronic/gospel/jazz surprisingly feels cohesive and never slows down.

Mephariel2018-07-31 17:07:01
One of my favorite scores of the past decade with Zimmer's name attached to it.

Mike 2018-07-31 18:21:40
This score is really solid. I'm not really familiar with Wallfisch's solo stuff, so I can't tell who did what on this one, but the end result is really cohesive. The themes are great, too.

mpolonest1232018-07-31 19:03:48
Going by what Hybrid said I’m guessing everybody had a hand in everything, definitely a lot of cross-pollination of styles (aside from the obvious Pharrell material). I definitely hear Hans’s voice in the cello writing and Rocket Cues, and “Katherine Calculates” sounds very much like The Da Vinci Code.

And Mike, if you haven’t heard it yet check out “A Cure For Wellness”. IMO Wallfisch’s best score, which showcases his horror/fantasy/orchestral styles all in one.

MrZimmerFan2018-08-01 13:17:45
There is a lot great stuff by Wallfisch, like the mencionated Bitter Harvest, Bhopal, Hours...

Is it in chronological order.
If not, does anyone know what order it should be in?
Thanks

OskarC reply Replies: 2 || 2016-12-01 08:17:04
Sounds a lot like Horner about 10 minutes in. Not that it's a bad thing.

Yumbo2017-04-01 09:17:28
Does anyone know who the female soloist is?

Dragonseeker2017-04-01 10:55:44
Solo Vocals: Kim Burrell & Clydene Jackson

According to the booklet credits.

Hybrid, do you know how Hans was involved with Adele's Grammy performance? Benjamin Wallfisch thanked him in a post for bringing him onto the project.

Hybrid Soldier2017-02-13 19:48:23
Hans & Ben arranged the song for Adele. Like they did with Pharrell 2 years ago for his new version of "Happy".

Ei182017-02-13 19:52:55
Awesome! Thanks!

Hybrid, with which tracks did you make the suite?

ei18 reply Replies: 3 || 2016-12-01 01:18:53
Thanks for the suite!! Is it really not coming out until June 2017?

0-^-02016-12-01 06:07:51
Looks more like January 6th to me.

Ei182016-12-01 16:44:14
I thought that too, but other scores on this site have the release date with the month first.

Ali2016-12-31 04:39:37
It would make the most sense if it came out January 6th, since that is the official date for the movie release everywhere. They have no reason to not release it until June.

And how come Hans' name isn't there in the announced list of Oscar eligible scores (for "Hidden Figures")

http: //filmmusicreporter.com/2016/12/13/academy-announces-145-ori ginal-scores-in-oscar-race/

http: //variety.com/2016/film/in-contention/oscars-academy-disqual ifies-arrival-manchester-by-the-sea-silence-1201941479/

Dudu2016-12-14 06:50:44
I think that's because of the rule that disqualifies a score where too many people are credited (ie. The dark knight)...maybe hz chose to drop his name so the score could be eligible

isildur reply Replies: 0 || 2016-12-14 05:35:03
Hey Hybrid, do you by any chance know, what the hell is going on on DUNKIRK's FB page? They've been live streaming the same view since last 13 hrs with the same ticking music.

Extract !

ZFan2016-12-01 00:43:54
Oh my, I'm Speechless. thanks Hybrid for the suite.

Mike2016-12-01 03:33:03
Nice! Did Zimmer, Wallfisch (& Pharrell) do roughly equal amounts here? Or is it mostly Wallfisch? Mostly Zimmer? :P

JamesT2016-12-01 05:18:58
Oh, wow. Spectacular!

Hybrid Soldier2016-12-01 18:02:21
It's Pharrell's project.

Anonymous2016-12-01 22:51:25
so he did most of it????

Hybrid Soldier2016-12-01 23:01:46
The main piano theme is definitely is. He was the basis of the music, some cues are pure Pharrell which I didn't include in the suite. Hans & Ben helped him at his request.

But that sort of score is usually a lot of jamming in the same room, don't try to figure out too much who did what here, sounds a bit like everybody, it's Pharrell, Hans & Ben !

Mike2016-12-01 23:05:34
The RCP-process never does cease to surprise us. lol.

Gotham Rogue2016-12-14 02:54:45
I like the excerpt a lot. It's certainly unique - it has that strange spin that they love to put on scores (particularly recently) - but it also is undeniably an RCP score. It seems like a good blend of these two methods, much better than some recent efforts. Hope the full score reflects this!

A Golden Globe nomination. Hope it'll win!

Anonymous2016-12-13 01:42:16
Normally I'd say no, but since Pharrell is involved, it actually has a chance of winning because people would scream racism if he didn't win lol

Anonymous2016-12-13 06:46:01
WTH? Really?!?

Edmund Meinerts2016-12-08 21:51:55
Wouldn't be right without Jack Afrogarrix playing Captain Obvious on every new score on this site!

OskarC2016-12-08 23:51:42
Come on, why are you writing an almost identical post under every score?

0-^-0 reply Replies: 0 || 2016-12-08 06:24:34
The opening 50 seconds of the suite is absolutely amazing. Man I so wish to hear a score in this spirit coming from Hans or Ben soon.
