An interesting album arrangement given the 1994 album arranged the tracks into suites and it seems that's not happening here (and we all know how much hans loves his suites). Seems like it's going to hit every major note that the previous Legacy set does and then some.Does this mean that He Lives In You and Mbube are not new recordings, or at least not entirely new recordings?do you have Informations about a limited edition ?
(like BR2049, interstellar,...)it's a complete new recording1. “Circle of Life”/“Nants’ Ingonyama” – Performed by Lindiwe Mkhize; African vocals performed by Lebo M; written and composed by Elton John and Tim Rice; “Nants’ Ingonyama” written by Lebohang Morake and Hans Zimmer; produced by Hans Zimmer; vocals produced by Stephen Lipson

2. “Life’s Not Fair” – Hans Zimmer

3. “Rafiki’s Fireflies” – Hans Zimmer

4. “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” – Performed by JD McCrary, Shahadi Wright Joseph and John Oliver; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Pharrell Williams; co-produced by Stephen Lipson

5. “Elephant Graveyard” – Hans Zimmer

6. “Be Prepared” (2019 Version) – Performed by Chiwetel Ejiofor; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Hans Zimmer and David Fleming

7. “Stampede” – Hans Zimmer

8. “Scar Takes the Throne” – Hans Zimmer

9. “Hakuna Matata” – Performed by Billy Eichner, Seth Rogen, JD McCrary and Donald Glover; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Pharrell Williams; co-produced by Stephen Lipson

10. “Simba is Alive!” – Hans Zimmer

11. “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” – Performed by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen; written by Luigi Creatore, Hugo Peretti, George David Weiss and Solomon Linda; produced by Pharrell Williams

12. “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” – Performed by Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen; written by Elton John and Tim Rice; produced by Pharrell Williams; co-produced by Stephen Lipson

13. “Reflections of Mufasa” – Hans Zimmer

14. The movie is like 30 minutes longer than the original so I don't think it can be the same all the way through.Hybrid did Hans do everything the same? or is there any difference in this score? Yes or no :DProbably not.Hybrid, I counted only 9 tracks from Zimmer. Is this the complete score or will there be a separate album with more music?Incredible work !, I admire you Hans Zimmer !.
Jaime Altozano (Youtuber music), he had a talk with you, and talked about interstellar music. I meet you more, thanks to his videos :)
The most colorful score by Ramin! I dig it!This is not a best soundtrack of Hans, but the theme "Gap" and the first two minutes for me are very good, no good....excellent.no :(Michael, that's my impression with some Zimmer scores: he composes a suite with the themes, hands the rest to his collaborators and supervise the work. But at the end the cue sheets will give us the information.Lorne did the great majority of the onscreen cues. Hans spent most of his time on this score writing the Moriarty Suite (which is longer than on album and has a few versions).
Is it possible to get full credit list for this score? I'll love to know which tracks Lorne worked in.Why soundtrack albums are made? Because most of the times a well edited album is a much better listening experience than the music as heard in the film, complete and chronological. At least 9 out of 10 cases I prefer to listen a well edited album. There are very few cases when a complete album is needed, in my opinion. The other thing is: I only have about 40-60 minutes patience for an album listen.
In Hans' case it's different sometimes because I really enjoy his suites and experiments.@iamtommie44

may i compare with mainstream music for a minute here. albums are important because putting one together is an art form on its own. the best albums are often not the ones with only the good tracks. but of course there are also those you buy because of track #2 or #3

in hiphop for example, mixtapes are a big thing. they seem like a freer album form. a way for artists to test new ideas and project directions. based on the response, those ideas would show up in albums. it's a nice way of testing things (or us lol) since our taste, especially in music, changes often. sometimes these artists want to see what works and what doesn't. i wouldn't mind buying experimental stuff from my favorite composers to be honest.

but anyways, dundirk is a very good album if you ask me. it's one of those that i can listen to in a loop and not get tired of. the tracks carry you along the journey. and by the time you reach the end of the last track, it loops right back into the first one...I have higher hopes for that than his normal work, he seems to do better work when not scoring big blockbuster action. (see The Mountain Between Us, one of his best scores)Such an incredible theme! Thank you Hans. When will it be available to buy?

"Label: A&E Television Networks (Digital Download Only)"

Try a search for that label. ;)

Well so far I only found it on Spotify, nowhere else... But History was handling this release, Lorne didn't have anything to do with it, he just got notified of this release today like us...

I guess it'll hit more "general" stores soon...

I keep checking and still nothing..
So looking forward to the release!

It's on ITunes today. great score!!

Yes it is indeed a great score. Too bad the TV show itself was so silly. I think the founding fathers would be turning over in their graves if they knew how they were portrayed in this soap opera. I believe the History Channels "Revolutionary War" docu-series from a few years ago was much better.

"Boston Radicals"...Skylanders, anybody?

Andrew2015-01-31 22:03:14
Yes, because it composed by Balfe :)

Anonymous2015-01-31 22:07:38
Sounds great so far but I'm gonna wait for the illuminated star edition. :)

Edmund Meinerts2015-01-31 22:44:12
Sure, Andrew...that explains part of it, but man, it really, really does sound veeeery close to Skylanders. You can't just write that off as "it's Balfe" entirely, any more than you can write off 12 Years a Slave sounding like Time because "it's Zimmer".

Wow.Lorne returns to the same arena he explored in ASSASSIN'S CREED III.

Lambegue2015-01-27 19:50:40
I liked the theme, so I'm quite curious to hear it in his long version.

And... "Fifty shades of Red" ?^^
