Dark Phoneix is more playable than Dunkirk, more thematic in my opinion, and don't agree with that opinions saying are the same, specially when Dark Phoenix has more in common with the early 2010s and some of the 90s score by Zimmer.I don't find the similarities between Playful Secrets and Home Alone, mostly the track (and the most part of the score) reminds more to Danny Elfman than John Williams, even Goldsmith, which his synthesizers sounds, are pretty unique, much more than Jablonsky in this score, but i give that sounds like a 80s synthesizer. Please Inception be next!!<br>There are tons of music in the film that didn't make it to the soundtrack. That's great. I personally like Dark Phoenix more than dunkirk, I feel pretty good visiting Xperiments.<br><br>The funny thing (and I can identify with your anecdote), is that every time I do homework with my son, I put music on him (not just Hans), but he also gets to recognize just by listening to a fragment or the main theme, a example is le petit prince, the lion king and the hobbit., among others recognizes them. He's only 4 years old and I'm funny because he asks me for music to do his battles.<br>quite an experience hahaI have a feeling Hans doesnít even know about this release lol. Itís so lazily done. I hope the packaging makes up for it tho. <br><br>Iím crossing my fingers for Dunkirk but I donít think itíll ever happen. That
Awesome news. But next time Hans should just include the entire score along with those tracks. I also think that he should release an extended version of Dunkirk because there is so much material in the movie that hasn't been released.I'm gonna have to agree with MrZimmerFan that it sounds more like Danny Elfman style, especially because of the choir.More than anything else "Playful Secrets" sounds like it's straight out of Home Alone. Definitely Williams more than Elfman for me.<br><br>This score is one of my favorites from Jablonsky. The retro synths are almost Goldsmith-like in places which is awesome to hear. And it's one of the very few post-Steamboy scores of his that brings back some of that Steamboy adventurous spirit. Would be great to hear him do this sort of thing again one day.Oh... And No Time For Caution was already included on the Illuminated Star Edition (hidden track on CD2)... Sad...well that's disappointing -.-
Just checked the Amazon page and the track listing is essentially the same as the Illuminated Star Edition (with No Time For Caution and Day One Dark added on)film version of No Time for Caution would be amazing<br><br>Day One Dark in higher quality than 256kbps MP3 would be cool tooJesus!<br><br>If this is a new precedent for companies to release past (and future) works expanded than sign me up. I love the option of having both a normal OST release and a complete. Saves having to wait for sessions lolOh my god yes "Quantifiable Connection" and "Day One Dark" at last properly released, maybe ?EXPANDED EDITION OUT ON NOVEMBER 13th, 2020!<br><br>"including additional music that was not available on the standard CD and digital releases of the original soundtrack"<br><br>https://filmmusicreporter. com/2020/09/23/watertower-music-to-release-interstellar-expa nded-edition-soundtrack-album/
As it was written for the movieThis mean the recording sessions?First Jedi Fallen Order, now Solo? I love this news! And I get the distinct feeling both releases are being used to determine interest in further Star Wars expanded score releases further down the line! Only real bummer is no CD to go on the shelf, but I'll take this any way it comes! He's just posted in his Instagram story that in 9 days he has more interesting stuff coming.<br><br>Very curiousFantastic! Looking forward to that variation on Duel of the Fates! Now the only complete Powell collection I'm looking for is HTTYD 3.

Anyone know the chronological order for this one?

Frank reply Replies: 0 || 2015-08-19 03:12:59
According to Film Music Reporter, Ramin is gonna score another Legendary Pictures, Inc. blockbuster The Great Wall, which is directed by Chinese director Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of the Flying Dagger). Can you confirm this Hybrid?

I don't get this either. The Warcraft universe always stood for amazing music. The "main theme suites" of every WOW expansions are masterpieces. They are sung by a real choir with a real symphonic orchestra. Also the thematic use is brilliant.

I like some of Ramin his scores but he will never top the existing catalogue of Warcraft material.

It's well known that Duncan Jones is the worst director ever, and completely stupid. He probably had no idea what he was doing !

Among the producers are Pacific Rim producers, just THINK twice...

Edmund Meinerts2014-11-03 21:00:36
Worst director ever? Source Code was fantastic! Liked the score too.

Hybrid Soldier2014-11-03 21:06:31
Irony Ed, irony...

Derrrrrrrrrrppp

RealFfingMusic2014-11-04 06:50:32
I still think they should've the game-scorers do the main theme, and let a film pro (like RD) take it from there.

Zimson2014-11-14 20:39:33
If Ramin won't use the new Draenor themes and the stormwind theme I'm out. :D (The use of the latter one is inevitable since I couldn't imagine they wouldn't show a longshot of stormwind)
However, I think it was a good decision to let a experienced blockbuster composer do the score. The cinematics are perfectly scored but scoring a 2 hour movie is a lot more difficult. I'm still hoping Hans will have a hand in it. :)

This is simply a brilliant score. Dark, epic and with distinctive themes. Furthermore, it has a truly unique style with it's use of ethnic instruments, like the dominant cimbalom (and I was pleased to hear Slovakian fuyara - also know as the shepherd's pipe - in the track "Broken Tooth"), and it captures the Transylvanian vibe perfectly. Ramin did it again. I love it.

Macejko2014-10-11 17:06:43
Oh, and guess who is scoring the upcoming "WARCRAFT" movie? ;)

Anonymous2014-10-11 18:54:50
Uhh no one cause it's not being made anymore LOL

Macejko2014-10-11 20:42:55
So I guess that movie coming up on March 11 2016, directed by Duncan Jones and produced by Legendary, currently in post-production, is just something they made up for shits and giggles :)

Frank2014-10-11 23:38:59
Ramin gonna compose for WARCRAFT!! The biggest score he has ever done?

Edmund Meinerts2014-11-03 10:13:50
I really wish they had let Russell Brower and his team score the Warcraft movie. They've come up with some fantastic stuff for the games. But I guess that was never going to happen... :b

I really like these Gothic scores. Looking forward to this. I hope it's gonna be like Ars&#232;ne Lupin by Debbie Wiseman or the recent Maleficent.

The movie looks awful but Ramin Djawadi is always good!
