Nope. They were recreated using film stems.I found a version of this soundtrack online that contained several alternate versions of "No Time For Caution", as well as two additional suites, supposedly titled "Endurance Suite 1" and "Endurance Suite 2". I've listened to both and they both seem legit, but are they a part of this complete score?truly amazing score! zanelli shows here that he mastered the DNA of the pirates music. would love to see him talk about this series, what makes its music so unique & recognizable, etc.

i think what's happening is that there are far too many characters, each with their own themes, to focus & develop any one in particular. salazar is the exception, in both the movie and the music. his intriguing character is the reason i watched the movie. and his theme kept coming into my head months after the movie.

but yea there are too many stories being unpacked onto the viewer in just a few hours in the latest pirates. but zanelli did a great job all the same.Balfe is the best composer since Powell from the Zimmer training
After hearing what Lorne Balfe did for Mission Impossible it would be great to hear what he would do with the James Bond theme.
Ok.
But still it would be awesome if Djawadi is composing The EternalsWell, unless you have a source, or can point to a credible publication reporting Romer is not scoring it, I think it is safe to assume (for now) that the composer announced and still listed on the official website as the composer for the film is in-fact the composer for the film..

He wouldn't be my personal choice for the job, but I am not going to ignorantly pretend that he isn't currently the hired composer.I was at the concert yesterday in Denmark, words can't describe what i felt, it's something that has to be experienced in person, truly amazing.

Music is one thing, but the lights and video along the show was awsome, that can't be described, you have to be there.

I hope for a bluray version of a concert, I will gladly be the first to buy it.Jackman has always been my favorite of his "generation" of RC composers (in which I also include Balfe, Djawadi, Örvarsson, Margeson and Streitenfeld - the ones who broke out about a decade ago). I think he's the best orchestral writer other than Powell and I always appreciate the clean, organic sound of his scores - like with Powell's scores, Jackman's orchestra always sounds real and clearly distinct from the electronics, unlike Balfe and Zimmer himself who use samples a lot more and blur things in the middle. That's true even of scores of his I don't like, such as Winter Soldier.

I do wish he'd stop stripping the electronics off of tracks for his album releases though. That seems like a strange way to address the criticisms he got for Winter Soldier - kind of missing the point.Any plans for a concert in Denmark (Boxen, Herning) ?
I like this score!!!

Henry is very good in my opinion. I always liked his scores even when others didn't.

And I'm really excited for Jumanji: The Next Level!!!Neither Romer or Balfe are scoring Bond 25I want to say that test screening version of Ghost in the Shell deleted one geisha character who was under orders of Cutter to follow the Major and in the original third act, she fought Aramaki when he stormed into Cutter's Holo room after killing his guards. Aramaki survives and the scene continues as shown. Because of the poor reception of what I call "The Philosophical Cut", the geisha character was removed and there were quick reshoots of all of the conversations between Cutter and Aramaki minus the geisha character involvement. The report about Romer leaving wasn't even confirmed, so I think it's just people wanting the expected to happen at this point.lol no he’s not
Last week, the IMDb page said Joseph Trapanese is scoring it and next week some other composer will probably be listed there. Amazing that some people still think of IMDb as a reliable source for this kind of info.More Cannons!, 2:14 - Jack Sparrow theme from PotC?Ramin Djawadi will compose The EternalsWell, "No Time To Die" (Bond 25) is being scored by Dan Romer. So, No; he is not scoring it.This is Balfe’s best music yet for sure and shows a side to his musical skills we don’t get to hear much I think.
It’s been interesting reading posts about Balfe doing Bond.Has he confirmed yet if he is ?

Have any of you seen the "special edition" version of this score? Is it legit or no, theres supposedly a 40 minute suite with it but theres no page for it on this site so I wasn't sure if it was legit. Thanks!

Mr Tweedy2018-04-10 15:56:22
Sounds like a fan made version.

I don't get why people bother adding a lengthy medley that contain the same content as heard in the score, and claim it's a "special edition".

Hybrid..
I heard that hans stopped an expanded last samurai release from lala-land records...
Is that true??? And if its true.. do you know why???

marcorea12018-01-04 16:00:08
I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. When he was about to sign my LLL broken arrow he flipped (not at me) about the release, saying he hates it when labels do that as he prefers his music the way they were released first time. He still signed it thankfully. Where I can agree with him on most of his OST, there are a small handful of albums that are missing so much. However I wouldn’t even buy a last samurai LLL release as the OST is a great listen as it is. Same with angels and demons. But that’s just me, many people prefer expanded albums and The last samurai would have been nice for those people.

Olive2018-01-04 16:33:26
I no agree with him. No is fair for the fan no have the access to this stuff because of the direct action of the composer.

badbu2018-01-04 16:44:13
Hans also don't like this score

Hybrid Soldier2018-01-04 16:44:43
Yes I can confirm a release was cancelled about 4 years ago. I cannot say why exactly though.

I've been discussing it with Hans & persons of interest to see what can be done to get it released, and I can tell you Hans is not blindly against the idea...

We'll see how all this goes...

Edmund Meinerts2018-01-04 16:59:34
The fact that Hans has come to dislike this lovely, emotional score while proudly putting his name to stuff like Dunkirk and Inferno is a pretty clear sign of how far apart our paths have drifted over the past several years. :(

Hybrid Soldier2018-01-04 17:02:12
Wait, in what world Hans doesn't like The Last Samurai ?

That's absolutely not true... Wait for the suite he built himself for the concert "The World of Hans Zimmer" in a few months !

Mephariel2018-01-04 18:21:09
Hybrid, do you know if there are plans for a CD/Digital audio release of "The World of Hans Zimmer?" I am super excited about this concert.

Hybrid Soldier2018-01-04 18:25:10
It's pretty early to ask that !!

Mike (OTM)2018-01-04 20:53:47
This is one of my favorite Hans scores, period, so I'd welcome an expanded release. The OST was solid, though.

As for Hans not liking this score, yeah right. He's talked about it as one of the scores he's actually quite proud of.

Olive2018-01-04 22:49:39
Yes, especially when we read the 2003 interviews in which he says he even traveled to Japan to do research. Only the trip is reason to love this score.

Mephariel2018-01-04 23:59:00
Has Zimmer ever talked about King Arthur or Pearl Harbor? I never even hear him briefly mention of those scores.

Olive2018-01-05 00:13:08
I saw a video of him during the premiere of "Inferno" talking to a reporter about "Pearl Harbor". She said that was her favorite. Hans replied that he and she were the only ones who liked it.

Elsewhere I read that Berstein wrote a letter to him praising "Pearl Harbor."

What is this "Journey Theme" at the end of the track list ?

Evenstar2013-09-01 18:11:34
yeah also curious about this one

greg2013-09-01 18:57:58
The Journey theme is probably another take similar to Taken.

sam2013-09-01 21:07:00
it's a cue that hybrid always posts at an end of a complete score tracklist, just to feel better then others, that he might have something, what others don't have. he's doing that always, so i would even say, that track doesn't exist at all.

Hybrid Soldier2013-09-01 21:08:53
It is available to everyone, most people are just way to dumb to see the obvious.

lv-4262013-09-01 21:30:35
To be fair, people just may not know the score as well as you do. It's from the OST, I assume.

Algren2013-09-02 08:48:28
Wow hybrid, really? Now you also offend people here, chapeau to you!

And calling a track "Journey theme" and putting any track time doesn't make us know which track you mean. And as you're doing this EVERYTIME a complete or a sessions score has been leaked, is just shady from you, just to feel better on your own.

There are always these theme or suite cues from you, which are maybe bad edited and mixed by yourself.

And you should think twice before you're offending here someone!

Instead of being happy that everyone can enjoy this beautiful music by Zimmer, which is our all passion and hobby, you need to act again like a prude chick, which goes totally crazy because someone can enjoy this beautiness too now.

Anonymous2013-09-02 09:23:31
Well said, Algren. Adding a track and a time does not tell anyone anything. Hybrid's attitude leaves a lot to be desired. He will probably delete these comments, again to make himself feel better.

Tits McGee2013-09-02 10:30:17
Hybrid, before you delete these comments, I'm sure Hans wouldn't be very pleased if he knew you were the reason that half his scores get leaked in the first place. Then you insult someone on here just asking an innocent question. Take a good look in the mirror. You run a fan site (big whoop-dee-do). It's not like you're getting these scores because you're in the RCP studio with him actually MAKING THE MUSIC (that would require an ounce of creativity wouldn't it? Something your behavior on here says you lack). You're no better than anyone else. It's appalling to see you act so oblivious to your own behavior. So relax for once. Don't be so damn condescending.

greg2013-09-02 11:43:07
If I were hybrid I would all tell you to f**k off, i'd close the website and would enjoy the music without hearing you all bitching.

jan-lee2013-09-02 13:04:38
why are you bad calling a person that has done so much for this site and us, one of the main reason i come here is to read his comments and the answers he gets from zimmer and others regarding music, news etc.

Jimmy Idol2013-09-02 13:08:58
We´re not talking bad about hybrid. but just read, someone posts a simple question, and hybrid just offending everyone here as dumb. who the fuck should know what cue the ¨journey theme¨ is?

Mike2013-09-02 18:30:35
I think every person here being ridiculous. We don't know what the Journey theme is, Hybrid calls us dumb for not knowing, and we all go crazy. For goodness sakes, do knowing the Journey theme or unnecessary rudeness really matter? Go, find a way to figure out what the Journey theme is, and know that Hybrid will be Hybrid for better or worse. It's not the end of the world.

Mr Tweedy2013-09-02 19:32:45
You're all free to live this website if you're not happy with its content.

MacArthur2013-09-02 19:34:21
Agreed!

al bundy2013-09-02 20:58:35
@Mr Tweedy: I think you mean "leave" not "live".

Jimmer2013-09-03 13:02:25
While I agree Hybrid seems to be doing with every Complete Score that gets released, in this instance, it's not that hard to figure out. Do you guys not remember when this movie was first released? Think about it, "Journey Theme." What's perhaps Zimmer's most famous cue that has the word "journey" in it? Yeah, "Journey to the Line." And when "The Last Samurai" came out in theaters, what was one of the cues used in the theatrical trailers? Yep, "Journey to the Line"-theme, or a variation of it. This is probably nothing more than a trailer cue, so it's not worthy going all crazy on Hybrid. Calm down. Move along. And enjoy this treasure.

Hybrid Soldier2013-09-03 13:39:25
Just take the bootleg, and take the OST, and compare... Simple as that.

Anonymous2013-09-05 00:15:02
What part of Taken is edit to make the Journey Theme? The last part runs around 1m34s, is that it??

bob2013-09-05 11:12:11
Hybrid is absolutely right. "Taken" from the official OST is not the film version. There's small variations...
But ... he forget something : "They Are All Perfect" (called here Farewell To A Friend) as we can hear it in this Complete Score is not the film version too.
Hybrid, may be you should add to your track list "They Are All Perfect" from the OST, because this one is the film version.

Per2013-09-05 11:28:11
Track 2 - Spectres In The Fog (from the start) on the OST have a differently mixed, and a little longer, beginning than the corresponding track, on the 'complete', 2m13 (track 9 - "Taken" on the above tracklist)...

There's also some other differences (well, or at least one I can remember), 7m40B/C (track 35 - "Farewell To A Friend") also have a slightly different mix (at one point at least), compared to the OST.

If there's other differences as well, I don't know.

Per2013-09-05 11:29:25
LOL, bob beat me to it regarding track 35 ! ;)

Hybrid Soldier2013-09-05 12:31:14
Well the "Perfect" thing is really not significant enough... I mean, they just undermixed an instrument on OST. It could have been here but hey, I do what I want ! :P :)

...2016-01-04 00:51:04
Hybrid, after going through the OST I just have to ask... From What OST track is the "Journey Theme" taken?
I know you haven't answered this question before and well the question must be quite annoying, but well I'd really like to know:)

6532016-01-04 11:35:52
It's the last 5 seconds of Track 1 from the ost + the first part of track 2. It's basically an alt version of Captured with a longer opening. The flute part in the beginning is in the very end of the first track so has to be edited together with with track 2.

greg reply Replies: 1 || 2014-11-13 18:20:41

When you see a tracklist here, means that you can get it too by using Google.
It doesn't mean we're all freaked out because of some titles, but more that we too can enjoy and hear more music, alternates and variations of the score.

Do you understand?

And even if you don't download them, you get the following:

--the name of each cue that plays in the movie
--possible composer credits for the cues
--you can listen to them on the internet
