Will any tracks from Man of Steel be played on the Live2021 tour? It is a life ambition of mine to experience a live performance of it!I missed Jasha Klebe. I thought he did some really good stuff at Bleeding Fingers. I am looking forward to hearing more from Kara Talve. I think she is a really good talent.

What happened to Marc Streitenfeld? I was going to ask about Klaus Badelt, but I am pretty sure I am not going to get that story.
Tom's more recent work has received more love, but I personally love the Fury Road and Rise of an Empire type soundtrack more. I'm looking forward to this and I hope it's close to what Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice sounded like. Although, the snippet he shared doesn't really sound like it. We'll see. That´s why I asked myself, why dont they ever re-unite like before, so yea, they sometimes doInterestingly, Aljoscha is collaborating a lot with 2WEI these days. The Junkie Team reassembles ! lol
Oh I see, very interesting! Many thanks for the answer :)Fired ?!

Haha no.

You gotta realize being an additional composer is not exactly an easy thing. Some jump ship after a few years or have other aspirations, try to work solo and so on.

Vörlander worked for Junkie from 2010 to 2015, then started his own business of writing for commercials, trailers etc. (it's called 2WEI, in Germany) He even did keep working on some trailers for JXL's scores after that, or helped on FIFA 17. Junkie had Aljoscha Christenhuß who worked for him from 2015 to 2018. Then Antonio jointed in 2016, Sara Barone joined more recently last year.

Thomas is doing his own thing too, he founded Chromium Music and is doing some solo projects now.

Jasha, after working for Lorne & Hans, "transfered" to Bleeding Fingers but after a while left to focus on his own solo career too.

Ultimately, everyone leaves, sooner or later... :)@Hybrid, I was always wondering, what happened to composers like Thomas Farnon, Jasha Klebe or Christian Vorlander - why are they not working with Lorne/Junkie anymore? Did they get fired or did they just move on? I find it weird, that Lorne/Rupert/Junkie/Etc would fire their additional composers after all those years of collaboration. The theme he was supposed to write but didn't ? :D lol

Well don't take word for word what he says. He's being general, the interview was for Forbes afterall.

Just take the extract we got, it had a quote from BvS that had nothing to do with either Superman or Wonder Woman... lol*forgot to mentioned
"Besides the Man of Steel theme for Superman and the theme for Wonder Woman, which I have given a new spin, all the other themes for this movie are brand new,”

I hope Tom just forget to mention about Batman's theme and will reuse it too, because if he don't, then what's the point of it?Junkie's score for GvK is probably going to be better than his score for Justice League if he is that interested in doing a score for a godzilla movie. And this

“On Godzilla vs. Kong, I said, ‘I think we need the biggest bass drum on the planet for this score. I know the guy who can build it, what do you think?’ They just said, ‘Let’s do it.’ So I said I want a bass drum that is at least eight feet in diameter,” he laughed. “The guy called me back, and he asked, ‘Is it okay if it’s only six?’ I said, ‘Could we do eight? Why can’t we do ten?’ The answer was, ‘Well, there’s simply no cow alive that has a skin big enough to cover for a ten-foot bass drum.’ So, we have to scale it down to eight. Also, a bit of GvK:

'A perfect example is the Godzilla vs. Kong movie that is coming out next year,” he enthused. “I’m such a Godzilla freak. I have all the Japanese versions of the movies. At a certain point, just for s**ts and giggles, I wrote something for Godzilla. About two years ago, I met the director because he showed interest in me as a composer. I asked him, ‘Do you know I’m the biggest Godzilla fan on the planet, and, years ago, I wrote some stuff.’ He was like, ‘You’re kidding me?’ So we started communicating, I tweaked what I did, played it for him, and he was totally in love.”Tom's interview kinda exactly confirms what I said ! lol

"Besides the Man of Steel theme for Superman and the theme for Wonder Woman, which I have given a new spin, all the other themes for this movie are brand new,” he revealed. “Some of them I did the groundwork on four years ago, but as you grow as a composer, you look at what you did and maybe have a better way of doing it now or a better idea. It was inspiring. I would get an idea in my downtime and think, ‘Oh, let’s rework this thing. Let’s do that.’ Because I knew for a while that this was coming, I had the time and space to shape it into its best possible form."
@Hybrid besides Tom style, do you like the more orchestral style with Di Lorio or the more electronic style with Vorlander?Interesting! It sounds like he’s almost starting from the ground up, which actually might end up sounding better than what we would’ve gotten had the original film been released in 2017.

I’m also interested in the theme suites/sketchbooks he wrote back then, and if they will still be used as a basis for the score. Either way the end result is gonna be cool I feel, hopefully we get a great score release from WaterTower!Well since the thing is completely going to be re-edited (series format, probably 4h movie after), lots of scenes added & altered (something even if Snyder had stayed in 2017, he couldn't have done freely), a lot of work to be done for sure.

Writing new cues, maybe changing others completely. Rewriting with all the edits probably making scenes longer etc.

You probably have the core of the score, the themes, the big ideas & cues done, but you have to readapt it almost completely ! And, as I said, in 3 years, maybe Tom can listen to something he wrote 3 years ago and go "ok, I got that completely wrong, let's try something else."@HybridSoldier
That’s completely true. Do you think we will ultimately get a hybrid of Tom’s original score mixed with whatever else he is writing currently?

He says in the preview that there is much more to write, which is interesting considering the original cut was supposedly “mostly done”...Wanted, such underrated action score

Hey Hybrid, some leak of the other guys would be great :D

Something like this here :D

Macejko2015-03-10 23:16:35
Some people would just take and take and take... and then have the balls to ask for more in the end.

Felix2015-03-10 23:25:31
@Macejko: Because it's coming ever new movies, also new scores ;D

Macejko2015-03-10 23:40:21
I know, but you must understand that the complete ones aren't our rights nor privileges. It's often by sheer luck that we get to hear them. If I'd get, say, Game of Thrones complete score, I wouldn't be immediately asking for Pacific Rim, because I'd be too busy drooling over that GoT CS.

Macejko2015-03-10 23:44:28
I'm certainly no stranger to asking shit I have no business or right having myself, but this right here bugs me nevertheless. It's MoS and Lone Ranger, for crying out loud. People should be going apeshit over it finally being leaked, not ask for more.

Edmund Meinerts2015-03-11 10:02:29
Yeah, I totally agree with you, Macejko. Two huge completes just leaked (three if you count On Stranger Tides, although we already had the demos for that and, well, the score sucks, so I didn't). Aren't people happy with that for now?

Also, I HIGHLY doubt that asking Hybrid will actually get anything done. Even if this is only an "(almost) official site", I don't think you make many friends among composers by leaking their complete scores onto the Internet.

Aaaalso, Frozen Ground is already a pretty repetitive album...I honestly can't imagine a complete score adding much of anything.

Lorne made by his IMHO chilling-atmosphere music great experience. And now I look towards to Beyond: Two Souls (with Hans) <3 that would be EPIC. Shame you werent already on Heavy Rain :)

And another one !

I'm losing tracks with the TONS of releases these days, but that's good news !! :)

Adriaan2013-07-08 21:37:14
It does say something when YOU are losing track, the RC-expert :-)

Also, this looks like a very interesting release!

Joshua2013-07-08 21:48:52
I feel like Balfe scores alot of these low budget type of action films. My question is, why? Someone as talanted as Balfe should be headlining big blockbuster scores on his own.

Hybrid Soldier2013-07-08 21:52:58
I think he's working on big blockbusters quite a lot with HZ, no wonder he wants to go elsewhere when he's on his own. :)

And since he doesn't seek eternal glory...
