Will any tracks from Man of Steel be played on the Live2021 tour? It is a life ambition of mine to experience a live performance of it!I missed Jasha Klebe. I thought he did some really good stuff at Bleeding Fingers. I am looking forward to hearing more from Kara Talve. I think she is a really good talent.<br><br>What happened to Marc Streitenfeld? I was going to ask about Klaus Badelt, but I am pretty sure I am not going to get that story.<br>Tom's more recent work has received more love, but I personally love the Fury Road and Rise of an Empire type soundtrack more. I'm looking forward to this and I hope it's close to what Man of Steel and Dawn of Justice sounded like. Although, the snippet he shared doesn't really sound like it. We'll see.That´s why I asked myself, why dont they ever re-unite like before, so yea, they sometimes doInterestingly, Aljoscha is collaborating a lot with 2WEI these days. The Junkie Team reassembles ! lol
Oh I see, very interesting! Many thanks for the answer :)Fired ?!
<br>
<br>Haha no.
<br>
<br>You gotta realize being an additional composer is not exactly an easy thing. Some jump ship after a few years or have other aspirations, try to work solo and so on.
<br>
<br>Vörlander worked for Junkie from 2010 to 2015, then started his own business of writing for commercials, trailers etc. (it's called 2WEI, in Germany) He even did keep working on some trailers for JXL's scores after that, or helped on FIFA 17. Junkie had Aljoscha Christenhuß who worked for him from 2015 to 2018. Then Antonio jointed in 2016, Sara Barone joined more recently last year.
<br>
<br>Thomas is doing his own thing too, he founded Chromium Music and is doing some solo projects now.
<br>
<br>Jasha, after working for Lorne & Hans, "transfered" to Bleeding Fingers but after a while left to focus on his own solo career too.
<br>
<br>Ultimately, everyone leaves, sooner or later... :)@Hybrid, I was always wondering, what happened to composers like Thomas Farnon, Jasha Klebe or Christian Vorlander - why are they not working with Lorne/Junkie anymore? Did they get fired or did they just move on? I find it weird, that Lorne/Rupert/Junkie/Etc would fire their additional composers after all those years of collaboration.The theme he was supposed to write but didn't ? :D lol<br><br>Well don't take word for word what he says. He's being general, the interview was for Forbes afterall.<br><br>Just take the extract we got, it had a quote from BvS that had nothing to do with either Superman or Wonder Woman... lol*forgot to mentioned
"Besides the Man of Steel theme for Superman and the theme for Wonder Woman, which I have given a new spin, all the other themes for this movie are brand new,”<br><br>I hope Tom just forget to mention about Batman's theme and will reuse it too, because if he don't, then what's the point of it?Junkie's score for GvK is probably going to be better than his score for Justice League if he is that interested in doing a score for a godzilla movie.And this<br><br>“On Godzilla vs. Kong, I said, ‘I think we need the biggest bass drum on the planet for this score. I know the guy who can build it, what do you think?’ They just said, ‘Let’s do it.’ So I said I want a bass drum that is at least eight feet in diameter,” he laughed. “The guy called me back, and he asked, ‘Is it okay if it’s only six?’ I said, ‘Could we do eight? Why can’t we do ten?’ The answer was, ‘Well, there’s simply no cow alive that has a skin big enough to cover for a ten-foot bass drum.’ So, we have to scale it down to eight.Also, a bit of GvK:<br><br>'A perfect example is the Godzilla vs. Kong movie that is coming out next year,” he enthused. “I’m such a Godzilla freak. I have all the Japanese versions of the movies. At a certain point, just for s**ts and giggles, I wrote something for Godzilla. About two years ago, I met the director because he showed interest in me as a composer. I asked him, ‘Do you know I’m the biggest Godzilla fan on the planet, and, years ago, I wrote some stuff.’ He was like, ‘You’re kidding me?’ So we started communicating, I tweaked what I did, played it for him, and he was totally in love.”Tom's interview kinda exactly confirms what I said ! lol<br><br>"Besides the Man of Steel theme for Superman and the theme for Wonder Woman, which I have given a new spin, all the other themes for this movie are brand new,” he revealed. “Some of them I did the groundwork on four years ago, but as you grow as a composer, you look at what you did and maybe have a better way of doing it now or a better idea. It was inspiring. I would get an idea in my downtime and think, ‘Oh, let’s rework this thing. Let’s do that.’ Because I knew for a while that this was coming, I had the time and space to shape it into its best possible form."
@Hybrid besides Tom style, do you like the more orchestral style with Di Lorio or the more electronic style with Vorlander?Interesting! It sounds like he’s almost starting from the ground up, which actually might end up sounding better than what we would’ve gotten had the original film been released in 2017. <br><br>I’m also interested in the theme suites/sketchbooks he wrote back then, and if they will still be used as a basis for the score. Either way the end result is gonna be cool I feel, hopefully we get a great score release from WaterTower!Well since the thing is completely going to be re-edited (series format, probably 4h movie after), lots of scenes added & altered (something even if Snyder had stayed in 2017, he couldn't have done freely), a lot of work to be done for sure.
<br>
<br>Writing new cues, maybe changing others completely. Rewriting with all the edits probably making scenes longer etc.
<br>
<br>You probably have the core of the score, the themes, the big ideas & cues done, but you have to readapt it almost completely ! And, as I said, in 3 years, maybe Tom can listen to something he wrote 3 years ago and go "ok, I got that completely wrong, let's try something else."@HybridSoldier<br>That’s completely true. Do you think we will ultimately get a hybrid of Tom’s original score mixed with whatever else he is writing currently? <br><br>He says in the preview that there is much more to write, which is interesting considering the original cut was supposedly “mostly done”...Wanted, such underrated action score

@Hybrid

The track jamie's debt in the player is shorter than the ost version. is this an edit of the ost track or is it a rip from the show?

Hybrid Soldier2015-07-25 00:18:08
From Brandon's website.

I just wanted to say how much I love Djawadi's work! I've not listened to much of his music in the past but after having seen 3 seasons of GoT I'm blown away. I can't speak for all of his music of course but his game of thrones music is amazing. He has really captured the world of GOT with his music. It fits so perfectly to the show! Oh and Mhysa just has everything!

Ds reply Replies: 0 || 2013-06-10 13:18:56
Was sure "Mhysa" would close episode 10! Outstanding work from Ramin.

Aytekin: What's wrong with Varése?

vador382013-06-04 18:03:08
Dear Hybrid,
you know why it is not varese which release the soundtrack and will be there a cd?

Evenstar2013-06-04 21:47:38
also waiting for the CD...

Anonymous2013-06-04 22:40:48
Great, now he starts ripping of Lorne Balfe his sound. Sigh, this guy keeps on sinking beneath the depths of the ocean floor...

Macejko2013-06-04 22:45:32
Balfe doesn't even HAVE a sound. He is less than nothing compared to Djawadi. In fact, most of RCP composers should learn from him in the matter of developing and re-orchestrating a theme.

Macejko2013-06-04 22:46:40
*learn from Djawadi

Edmund Meinerts2013-06-09 10:47:51
Your raging hard-on for anything Djawadi-related continues to amuse and bemuse me, Macejko. To my ears he isn't significantly better or worse than Balfe, and both of them are nowhere near the most interesting composers to come out of RCP...they can't hold a candle to John Powell, Mark Mancina or Steve Jablonsky (on his good days), let alone Hans himself.

That said, "Mhysa" IS an amazing cue. ;)

Anonymous2013-06-09 12:48:00
Jablonsky? It had been aaaaaaaages since he did something memorable....

Trent Easton Navarro2013-06-09 14:12:33
Pain and Gain was a great score, one of this year's finest

Ds2013-06-09 14:17:57
Agree with Trent Easton Navarro: "Pain & Gain" is a really good work from Jablonsky. A score doesn't need to be "epic" to be good ;-)

MrZimmerFan2013-06-09 14:35:28
I'm with you, Ds and Trent, Pain & Gain is one of the best works of Jablonsky, it works very well in the movie

Macejko reply Replies: 4 || 2013-06-04 12:37:16
"Mhysa" is just... beyond words. Incredible.

Ds2013-06-05 00:04:22
Agree :)

Wow can't wait to see what scene this cue is used for and WHAT HAPPENS AT 3:42?????

Dfault2013-06-06 17:11:36
A Lannister always pays his Debts. I find this song even better! Played in the start of the Red wedding scene, Amazing Lannister theme!

Incredible! The Djawadi naysayers are proven wrong! High hopes for "Pacific Rim"

I don't understand "The Bear And The Maiden Fair".
I think it's weird they put a rock song like this in the series and soundtrack. Other than that, the album is great. "Mhysa" is absolutely outstanding!!!

Macejko reply Replies: 0 || 2013-06-05 15:48:51
Ok, more complex thoughts.
I love it. I even like the themes I didn't like in the show itself, like "Dracarys", for example. I am constantly getting surprised how Ramin can work with the previously composed themes - rearranging them, changing them. Take for example "A Lannister Always Pays His Debts". It changed "The Rains of Castamere" (which was very sad and moody tune) to epic and heroic new motif for Jaime Lannister. Or "Mhysa", which is a new take on Daenerys' theme. We already heard that theme in "Finale" (season 1) and "Mother of Dragons". This time he used choir, and once again completely changed the way that theme feels (and it feels like something out of this world, as I already pointed out). And there's so much more, like the raw, chilling brutality in "The Lannisters Send Their Regards". I simply admire Ramin.
But of course, the score is not absolutely perfect. It lacks some music I wanted to hear, like the theme playing when Catelyn talks about Jon Snow, or the music playing during Jaime/Brienne and Beric/The Hound duels. Also, there is Kerry Ingram's song. I can't help it, but it feels like an unnecessary, pointless filler to me.
My final verdict is strong 8/10.

It's funny how the covers for RCP soundtrack have changed. Now they seem to prefer some "design" pictures with only logos (TDKR, MoS, PotC4, The Lone Ranger). A few years ago they were always using adapted movie posters.

Macejko reply Replies: 1 || 2013-05-31 00:10:05
Normally I would be excited as hell, but as I already said - judging by the show itself, there is very little of new material.

Macejko2013-05-31 00:14:43
Also, it's curious that this one is being released by WaterTower, when the previous two were done by Varése Sarabande.
